so for my best friend im making a winter themed gift basket. its not really a basket but i was going to get her a cute winter handbag and put winter necesities like gloves, hat, scarves, flannel pajamas, slippes, etc. what else should i put in the basket? just like winter essentials and such. thanks!

Its not exactly an essential, but nice and inexpensive to have.... those little hand warmers they have, you shake them up and it stays warm for a few hours. Get some really cozy heavy socks, perhaps a blanket if theres enough room?

What to get my boyfriends parents for xmas?
We have been dating 3 years now. Last year I baked them cookies (which they really seemed to like). This year I am not sure what to do. I know them a little better. I was thinking about making them a gift basket of some sort.....but I'm really not sure. Any suggestions would be great!

Yeah! a gift basket would be a great idea. maybe find out what type of books the mom or dad is into and put one for each into the basket, along with some cheeses and bake more cookies to put in there as well... maybe the parents drink on special occasions? buy them a bottle of wine, maybe? tickets to a show? you don't have to be extravagant, really. if you made a basket of different types of baked cookies and added some apples or grapes or something, I'm sure they'd love that as well. good luck!!

Gift basket for ill friend?
I have a 50 year old friend that's about to be off work for a few months due to surgery. My coworkers and I would like to make a "off work survival basket" for her. I need help thinking of fun stuff to put in it. So far we have come up with a book, tea, a bell, activity books, hand held games, snack food, candy, nail polish. Any Ideas? Do you know of any good books to put in the basket?? Any ideas at all??

What small items can be included in a small summer gift basket to teachers?
Since the school year is attending, my school's ASB is thinking of putting together and handing out small gifts relating to summer put in small boxes, summer-y cups, etc. to show teacher appreciation :) Each gift will have a small note saying something like "Thank you for being an amazing teacher! Have a nice summer." We would love some help in thinking of what we can put inside. This is what we have so far: - 1 Beach "Umbrella" (those ones you put in cocktails, since the gifts might be put in a small cocktail glass) - 1 Packer of Ice Tea Mix (like those Crystal Lite ones) - 1 mini bottle of sunblock - 2 or 3 Tropical Starbursts Do you guys have any more ideas? What is a good arts&entertainment themed white elephant gift?
I'm taking part in a white elephant christmas exchange with my boyfriend's family. The limit is $30 and the presents should be gender neutral and must be Arts&Entertainment themed. Any ideas? I'd like to maybe do a basket or something instead of just buying 2 random DVD's and calling it a day.

Sympathy gift help...?
The woman that I used to babysit for about 13 years ago called to let me know that her mother-in-law passed away. The kids I used to babysit are pretty much grown up now and I haven't seen them in ages. I still am in occasional contact with their mother (the one that called). I don't know the proper etiquette for handling this situation. Ideally, I'd like to just send a gift basket to their house but they are expensive and we are on a tight budget. The fact that she called made me feel obligated for something. Is sending JUST a condolence card too tacky? I am unable to attend the wake so I cannot just ignore the situation. PLEASE ADVISE!
