I am giving my in-laws a gift basket for christmas with a photo album of my little girl.I do not have the slightest clue of what to add to the basket. The couple is in their late 40's & Im trying to make the gift useful for both of them . Im wanting it to have a manly touch for him and a feminine touch for her .. help would be appreciated.

Gift baskets are always wonderful gifts if you personalize them! Good choice. =] ok...hot chocolate mix is a good one. get a couple of flavors, those are pretty cheap, and a bag of mini marshmallows for the hot chocolate... maybe a pretty christmas ornament with you and your spouse or your daughter or all three of you...you get the idea. maybe a little jewelry box/dish for her or both of them, annnnd a magnetic calendar or notepad for the fridge...I could think of more but I don't know what either of them like! =] oh and some matching coffe mugs...for the hot chocolate lol

What are some good things to put in gift baskets for christmas?
I would like to make gift baskets for family and friends this year for christmas, but I dont know what to do. What are some good themes or ideas for unique and inexpensive gifts?
--------------------
I just made some gift baskets myself with a bunch of really cool little things from this site called http://www.HomeGrownMarket.com - there is a listing for gifts under $5, gifts under $10...and so on. But there are some cool magnets I got, some interesting soap, cool earrings, and a shlew of other neat stuff! And it's all handcrafted in the USA so I feel good about supporting other small businesses and women in our country!! Hope I've helped!

Gift Baskets are really nice as well! if you're going to buy a gift basket from a trustworthy gift basket website, go to www.kgiftbaskets.com, they've got really great prices too! Hallmark and FTD are nice too, but a bit too pricey... K. Gift Baskets is a lot better also because of the extraordinary style of the gift baskets

I would like to make Gift Baskets for people in the Hospital?
I would like to make Gift Baskets for Stroke Victims & Their families that are in the Hospital. I know what they are going through and that it must be heartbreaking and hard. What can i put in the baskets? What should i Buy? What should i make myself?
--------------------
Oh thats so sweet! My grandfather had a stroke a year ago, and it was hard. Maybe instead of making gift baskets, you could go into homes with stroke victims and play games with them and just hang out. My grandfather calls me almost everyday, asking if I can come visit him because he is bored. Good luck :)

What should to include in an article on Corporate Gift Baskets?
I have to write an article on the topic - Corporate Gift Baskets... So can anyone suggest me what exactly i have to write on that...
--------------------
You don't say who the audience is, but my guess is that you want to write an article that talks about how great gift baskets are and that offers suggestions on what to put in them, and maybe provides info on some companies who produce things like this. One thing you really need to mention is that many corporations do not allow employees to accept gifts over a certain small dollar amount, like maybe $50. A great way to get around this is to go with "personalized" items such as coffee mugs, notepads, pens, etc. Personalized items are difficult to price. I would say that if someone's looking to produce a large number of gift baskets, he or she should work with a professional. One great company is Artfull Baskets, in Santa Monica, California (www.artfullbaskets.com).

What do you stuff your gift baskets with?
I am putting together a birthday basket for a 1 year old. It's really a lined storage basket, I bought 2 gifts which are wrapped a bunny (for easter) books and a personalized sippy cup. The problem is that the storage basket is too deep and I need to put something underneath that will lift everything to see. What could I use that's big and bulky??? Yet leveled to place gifts on top'?
--------------------
if you have a few tiny empty boxes tape that to the bottom of the basket. tape the gifts on top. or if you want it cute. cut a hole big enough for the corner of the present to fit in side. put the corner in there ( maybe tape )fill the rest with tissue paper. The kind you use to stuff the presents in a goody bag or present bag. not the kind to wipe your nose (: or you could just stuff the bottom with tissue paper or butcher paper and the presents usually stay put. foam always works too. with tissue paper around to look cute. by the way, i love the gift idea. it's cute. you spoil that baby (in a good way) :D i wish i was that baby! i hope i helped

how can i advertise my adorable gift baskets to the public?
im trying to start up a small gift basket business from my home...i know my adorable baskets will sell i just dont know how to advertise them to the public...please help
--------------------
You may want to start with going to some local businesses. For instance I am a real estate agent, and we are always giving away gift baskets for open houses, raffles, and to clients. Try making up some flyers and taking them to Real Estate Agents. You may also want to take some into some mortgage brokers offices. They sometimes send out some gifts to people who take their loans.

how much do gift baskets cost on average?
I m trying to find out what a gift basket normally costs.
--------------------
It really depends on what kind of gift basket you're buying, and what gifts are in the basket. For instance gourmet food and vintage champagne is going to cost a lot more than snacks and popcorn. One thing that's pretty certain though, you can save money and have a lot more fun creating your own! Try here for tons of different ideas.

what type of cupcakes or muffins should i make for gift baskets?
i'm planing to give everyone a basket of homemade muffins or cupcakes as a christmas gift. I'm only 13, so i don't have any money, and i thought this would be a good idea. What type of treats should i make, any recipes?
--------------------
For muffins i would make lemon poppy seed or pumpkin muffin w/ cream cheese icing. Cup cakes would be the best choice and you can make marble cupcakes and ice them green and decorate them like a Christmas tree :] or my personal favorite dessert is a black forest puff pastry and that's just a square of puff pastry filled with some brownie mix, cherry filling then you bake that and top it of with whip cream. Hope this helps :]

What do you think of Gift baskets custom to teenagers?
Gift baskets that will incorporate the new and trendy things of the younger generation.
--------------------
My first impression is that this is definitely an unique niche that I haven't really seen before. But then I started thinking why. Teenagers are usually picky around that time in life. Giving gift baskets may be perceived as for old people which is something teens would probably not want. The only other age group that I know that gift baskets are given to are for younger children during holidays such as Christmas, Easter, and such. Usually there are toys and treats bundled up for them. As far as teenagers, it they're going to do some sort of bundle, they usually would make it themselves. At that time/age, they usually like to use their creativity to make a nice present. By offering them a gift basket that is already pre-made, they might not like some of the items bundled and rather just purchase each thing separately and make a bundle on their own. Hope that helps and good luck.

Who is making their own gift baskets this year?
I started it to save money (you can buy more stuff for the money than what comes in those pre-made gift sets) but I'm really getting into it! You can make them much more personal too. For my dad I am making a basket with barbeque sauces and for my brother I am making one with movies and popcorn and I even found some of those movie box candies at wal mart (only 97 cents each!) and a big popcorn bowl to put it in.
--------------------
I love to do this too. You're right its so much more personal than the premade baskets are. I have done many baskets so I'll just name a few. Pasta Dinner: 1. Big bowl (used as basket) 2. Box of pasta 3. 2 Jars of sauce 4. Parmesan cheese (in the shaker) 5. A wooden spoon 6. A pair of tongs 7. A dish towel Snow Day: (Always fun for kids) 1. A big coffee mug 2. Sudoko or crossword books 3. A puzzle 4. Hot cocoa or apple cider mix 5. Cookies 6. A movie 7. A scarf and gloves Chocolate lover: 1. Hot cocoa 2. Coffee mug or travel mug 3. Chocolates 4. Chocolate covered nuts 5. Chocolate covered pretzels 6. A chocolate scented candle 7. Chocolate scented lotion/ bubble bath Bookworm: 1. A set of original books (Pride and Prejudice, The Secret Garden, The Chronicles of Narnia, Tarzan of the Apes, etc.) 2. A tea cup 3. Tea bags 4. A fancy book mark 5. A reading light 6. Gift card to Barnes and Noble Romantic Evening 1. 2 wine glasses 2. A bottle of wine 3. Chocolates 3. Crackers 4. Cheese 5. A romantic movie (I like classics myself) Hope this helps!

Does anyone make gift baskets or know of a website?
I need to send a gift basket (around $25) to a lady in Hawaii. I don't really know much about her except that her husband is in the Army and that she is an animal lover. Anyone have any ideas on what to put in one or where I can get one?

I have purchased gift baskets at this site before, http://www.bisketbaskets.com. They have a really nice assortment. I would get her something practical that you know she will be able to use. You could put together a "pamper" themed basket, get a few things from The Body Shop or Bath and Body Works. I thought this was a nice idea too, http://www.bisketbaskets.com/country-inn Here are some other cute gifts: http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/bodyshop/ http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/

anyone with good christmas recipes for gift baskets?
My daughter just turned 10 and so now she thinks she rules the kitchen. This year instead of buying her teachers a gift she wants to make a basket with lots of different goodies. I have a few that are simple yet good. Does anyone have any idea that they could share with us? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Super easy fudge placed in wax paper lined Christmas tins is a good one. http://www.verybestbaking.com/recipes/de A good Chex Mix is nice as well. There's a ton out there. I want to try the caramel chocolate one this year, but Muddy Buddies (Puppy Chow) is a really good one as well as the original. http://www.chex.com/Recipes/Recipes.aspx Also, a candy apple wrapped in pretty cellophane and tied with festive ribbon makes a nice change of pace for the standard apple for your teacher. Is there any local place that does gift baskets that will deliver to East Rutherford, New Jersey?
My friend is staying there and it's her birthday so I want to send something to her hotel room. I don't really want to send flowers since she will only be there for a few days. I really want to do a gift basket or cookies or something cute and thoughtful but not necessarily super expensive. I checked out 1800flowers and they have a few things, I was just wondering if there was a local place that I don't know about. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

How can I find supplies to make gift baskets?
I need baskets of different shapes and sizes, filler, cellophane bags, wholesale gift items.
--------------------
Dollar Tree, Wal-Mart, K,mart, Big Lots,Dollar General, and Family Dollar stores have all the supplies that you need. I would try the Dollar Tree store first. I put together a scrapebooking Basket and it only cost be around 20 bucks for the supplies had some filler and cellophane left over. Basket was worth 60 bucks at Wal-mart. I even included a scrapebook.

I have a small business selling over 300 kinds of gift baskets where can i advertise free and for a fee?
i have a small business online selling gift baskets. I want more traffic and advertising for it. I want more sales. What sites can offer lots of sells and lots of traffic to my website?
--------------------
That does not exist. A site which sends lots of sales and traffic to your site. You can buy packages from the spammers that "guarantee" that you will get 5,000 visits. But they are worthless. You can try Craigslist. Ask a reporter for the local newspaper if she will interview you about your business. If that works, offer to go on the local tv station morning show at 6am to talk about running a business.
