What else should I put in a basket to go w/ pita bread?
We are making homemade pita bread for friends, for holiday gifts and I plan on putting it in (wrapped in foil) in nice baskets w/ ribbon, etc. But... what else should I put in the basket to go with it? PREFERABLY ORGANIC. Thanks!

Help on gifts for my friends :) ?
So I'm thinking about getting my friends (about 15 of them) cute bath and body gift baskets. So I'm going to go to places like CVS and Bath & Body works and get small sized lotions, shampoo, conditioners, nail polish, nail files, lip gloss, lip balm, maybe lotion, and I'll see what they have in the sample sizes. I'm 13 years old so i'm looking for about $5 each, maybe up to $10. Any other ideas as to what should go in or where I should go? Is this a good idea?

Hi, I am trying to think of a great christmas present to give to my firends, who are teens. and i finally thougt of just putting together cute little baskets of things they like or things that remind me of them and just things they wanted for xmas. (for example: a dvd, body lotion, makeup, a decorated scented candle, and quotes/scripture readings). I have had such fun decorating easter cookies with my goddaughters. Go to Michaels and buy cookie cutters in easter shapes. We love the egg shape. The key to decorating is the icing. You need to buy meringue powder. It's also at Michaels. The royal icing recipe is on the can (powdered sugar, the meringue powder, and a tiny bit of water). Put the icing in different ziploc bags and cut off the corner. Squeeze and design. I like Sandra Lee's recipe for cutout cookies. Here's a link.

Is this a good sympathy gift for my friend? Her mother just died?
My friend's mother just died...we have been working together a few years and she is basically like a mother to me. Me and my girlfriend are friends with her family but we never knew her mother. I was going to get them a Vermont Teddy Bear with a card saying "We are sorry for the loss of your loved one, keep this in her memory" Does that seem a bit over the top or no? For some reason it seems like a strange sympathy gift to me...but I didn't want to go with a generic fruit basket or flower arrangement...I wanted it to be something they could keep and remember. For me it just almost seems droll to give someone a gift that is like 'here is something to remind you that someone died' Am I thinking too deeply about this? Any thoughts?

From my experience, as long as you are bringing wine in your suitcase and not in your carry-on, you should be okay. I don't know if you are talking about few bottles or a large stock but I never had a problem. If you bring food, make sure it isn't meat, fruit or nuts. Cookies, cakes or crackers & cheese are okay.

She said it was the stuff people forget to take for the first night in a new house. --roll of toilet paper --hand soap --paper plates and napkins --pizza coupons --Kitchen & Bathroom wipes --cd of "move in" music to keep them working --lightbulbs --batteries It was cute and I ended up using much of what she gave me. What should I put in a gift basket for my friend?
My friend turns 19 this year just fifteen days before I turn 21. Last year for her birthday I made her a sex themed basket and she made me a Hello Kitty one. This year we decided to make baskets for each other again, but I can't think of a good theme or what to put in it. I think she's making me a drinking themed one and I need to think of something equally good. But really, the main things this girl likes is sex, alcohol, pot, and food. So...I don't know. I can't think of a good theme or what to do.

well. it sounds like you should do a hippie or stoner type theme. like put some food in there. like munchies and junk. and then (if your wiling to buy) give her like a gram. or so of bud. and then just like some mix cd's for her to listen to while she smokes or like put a piece or bong on there. or. just like a complete random theme. like. just go to a party store or any store and go down every isle and find something you think she would like.
