I'm not sure which one to buy. I got a 50 dollar gift card to best buy and I don't know which series I'll like better. I usually watch the first two episodes of a series before I buy it. But what I'm looking for is an anime that's gonna make me cry more, and I don't know which one of the two will. Also if you think there's another series I should get in English Dub (my eyes can never keep up with subtitles) then reccommend me to them. I love tear-jerker anime, and I just started getting into some of it, and romance is usually better but I can do regular drama too... But out of those two which would be better?
--------------------
For tearjerkers... I'd go with Fruits Basket. Has some seriously tragic romances (especially the one between Hatori and Kana), even in the anime version which doesn't cover all that the manga does in terms of relationships. I can't think of any real "tragedy" in His or Her Circumstances, except for the fact that Souichirou's "real" parents sort of suck... (Keep in mind though, I'm going off the manga version.) Neither anime series though, ends "tragically", as far as their respective anime series are concerned though, I believe... As for general tear jerker anime... --The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, also known as Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, is great. It's technically a movie, but there is an English dub, and it's pretty darned good. The story itself is very very bittersweet and somewhat based on a novel of the same name, in that it takes place in the same world as the novel, and the main heroine of the novel happens to be Makoto's aunt. Makoto is the main heroine, and is scared of changes in her relationship to Chiaki, so when she finds the ability to "Time Leap", she uses it to avoid all the bad things, and to attempt to keep things unchanging. When it backfires on her, she finds it in herself to accept that things change, and that Chiaki isn't exactly who she thought he was... Definitely made me cry at the ending. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclop
--AIR TV About a "Girl in the Sky" and a group of very fun characters, all with especially tragic pasts, and tragic futures awaiting them. You have a heart of stone if you don't feel sad at the ending. I broke down crying. Definitely romantic, based on a dating sim, and available with an English dub. Includes fantasy elements, and a story that's deeper than the first few episodes lets on. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclop
--Gunslinger Girl About young girls who are turned into weapon wielding cyborgs, and work for a secret organization. Not "tragic" in the lost romance sense, but "tragic" in the sense that these young girls will never be able to experience lives as normal children. There's several sad moments that aren't explicitly sad, but are inherently very very tragic. English dub is available. There is a second season and OVA finale to the second season, but it loses some of its... dignity in switching to the new character designs, I think. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclop
5cm per Second -a chain of short stories about their distance- --This is going to be harder to find on English dub of, since English production of this has stopped, but it's worth it if you do. A collection of stories following a man and woman, and the lost loves they share. The song "One More Time, One More Chance" perfectly describes the show. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclop
English Translation of Lyrics for One More Time, One More Chance http://gendou.com/amusic/lyrics.php?id=7
Hope you find something good here =3 All of these are complete, have an English dub, and are available in the US... Except for 5cm per Second. It was being distributed, but the licensor dropped it... So now it's fairly hard to obtain a copy, but if you can, it's worth it.

Arrange and deliver a fruit basket to a friend's place. Any idea of where ...?
can I find this kind of shops/service?? Is it Ok for a gift to a Malay family? They are imviting me and fam for lunch in their place. Tks.
--------------------
you can try http://www.noelgifts.com i think fruits basket are overly priced unless you DIY. you can buy some good fruits, some flowers, get a nice basket (lots of pretty ones at daiso at $2 each) and giftwrap it yourself. if you intend to send it to them earlier you can always arrange for courier to pick it up and send over to them at a nominal price. or you might want to consider a food hamper from marks & spencer? i think most malays appreciate flowers too. hope this helps.

Open the package and put it careflly on the table. 3. Jumped straight up and scored the basket. 4.Changing the way we do things. 5. Promised me i could have it for a week. 6. Many people dont like abstract art. Because they dont understand it. 7.The abstract movement was started by a number of gifted artists. Like miro and kandinal. 8. they thought art was becoming too realistic . looking just like photography 9. Some photograpers also joined. looking for new ways to see the world.
--------------------
1. jim , who is the best players on the team. (i'm guessing it should have been 'player,' or 'one of the players,' because that's the only way it would work). change period to a comma and then write, scored a goal. 2. Open the package and put it careflly on the table. (?) 3. HE Jumped straight up and scored the basket. 4.WE'RE Changing the way we do things. 5. HE Promised me i could have it for a week. 6. Was it a good idea to send her this?
Before I start, I'm just going to say that this a very complex situation. She is my friend's younger sister (16 years of age, turning 17) and I am 19 turning 20. We both like each other but are taking a bit space from each other at the moment due to the situation and the fact that she has school exams coming up. Yesterday, however, I decided to send flowers (white lillies and a red rose) and a basket full of her favourite lollies (which I spent about an hour going through the shopping mall looking for every possible brand of the product) to her school. I also attached a card saying that even though we aren't talking too much, that I am still thinking of her. She received my gifts and sent me a text saying that she loved the flowers and basket and ended the text with "xx" which she has never done before. Anyway, I am just wondering if that was a good idea or perhaps I should have just not done that at all. Thanks.

It was a very nice gesture, however...you know what's coming here...She is a minor...and you are not. And you know what's up. Be friends for another year and see what happens then. Good luck!

I need ideas for some gifts ?
For christmas I get all of my aunts and uncles, mom and dad, sisters and brothers christmas presents. This year i want to get baskets and put things in for presents. I need to start now to be ready! I need help getting the stuff for in the baskets! Aunt 1- She likes pinecones, bears, wine, black and red plaid, and the colors black and red, ducks. Aunt 2- She likes fish, pinecones, things in 7 (like 7 snowmen sitting in a row cuz she has 7 kids) ,jewlery. She is also a kindergarten teacher. Aunt 3- She likes snowmen, shopping, diamonds, "different" looking dercorations. Mom- She likes sunflowers, cats, beach, sun, Any ideas please!
--------------------
For aunt number 2, go to the website, www.bronners.com then under personalized ornaments and gifts. They have really cute signs that can be personalized with all of the kids names on it. Also browse the site for other neat Christmas ornaments for the rest of your list. Can you tell I work at this store? LOL.

Do you think this is rude or inconsiderate?
My husband and I like sending nice gifts to his 5 yr old daughter who lives out of state. His daughters mother doesn't really have any money, lives in a trailer, and while she does the best that she can, she certainly does not have the means to spoil her daughter. Do you think it is rude or inconsiderate for us to send his daughter nice gifts now and then? For example I just went shopping for her Easter Basket (which I am making myself). I bought clothes, movies, books and toys and when all was said and done, had spent $200 on it. I am sure it will be much nicer than whatever her mother gets her but we enjoy spoiling her. Is what we are doing wrong?
--------------------
Why not ask mom to tell her it's from the Easter Bunny. A child being happy in the end is all that matters. When she is an adult she will appreciate the respect shown to her and mom. You can continue to buy her expensive gifts. But use tact and good judgment. Afterall it is not necessary to be recognized for good deeds. And by the way.....your doing a good job! :-)

No, not at all. I would not call it spoiling her, but rather buying her gifts for her birthday and Christmas. Plus, when you think about it. How can you spoil a child who doesn't have a lot? Her mother probably clothes her, but she probably is limited on her shirts, pants, etc. Clothes aren't spoiling, but a necessity. The same with books, those are important for her educational development. You are fine!!! You seem like a nice step-mother; continue to help out your step-daughter. I'm sure she's grateful for the gifts.

What's with kids getting presents on easter?
I mean seriously, I'm 15, and not once have i got a present on easter. My brother and I always get a couple of easter eggs and a chocolate bunny and we're happy with that. (over joyed, actually, chocolate which is our own, woo hoo!) So today im seeing all these 'i only got a few presents in my easter basket, im so ******* sad' what's with parents giving gifts on easter? I thought gifts were for birthdays and christmas's if that. If i have kids, all they'll be getting on easter is chocolate, or if they can't/don't like chocolate, lollies.
--------------------
I think it's weird too. Presents should be for birthdays and christmas and the occasional "I just wanted to give my kids a surprise". For Easter, we'll do Easter eggs, but that's it. I am Catholic and live in Ireland (96% Catholic population) and I'm also pretty shocked to see that most kids are now getting money for their first communion and confirmation. I read an article stating that the average 11 year old doing his confirmation can expect about 450 euro total in cash presents from families and friends and neighbours. Some parents will also have a huge party and rent a bouncy castle or whatever. My husband and I have agreed we would not do anything like it and if someone gives them cash in spite of our asking them not to, it will go straight into the college fund.

Mould on my clothes, please help?
I just was gifted a beautiful sheridan quil cover set, and the clothes in my basket have been infested with mould. I only kept the lothes in laundry basket for 4 days. Maybe there was something moist in there. But here in Australia its winter and my house is quiet cold and moist. What can I do to get rid of the mould on my clothes. It has a few spots, hasn't hugely spread but they smell of mould. Its not like i want to throw out all my clothes and stuff... :( I tried pinoclean and heaps of clothes washer and fabric softener (FRAGRANCE one)
--------------------
have you tried a stain remover, i'm currently using white king stain lift, it's safe on colours, in a blue spray bottle although i have not used it for mould, it's worked well so far on other tough stains i ve had.

How do I know if he is really over his ex?
I have been in a relationship for half a year now and already he is talking about getting married. We are very comfortable with one another and I am very much in love with him. However, I have this feeling that he might not be over his ex. They separated a year before I met him, but he works with her and they still communicate regularly. Whenever we go out, if he sees a friend of her's, he'll pretend we're not in a relationship or insist we leave wherever we are. They still get each other little gifts, like on Valentine's day she gave him a huge basket of goodies. He came home yesterday and she had gotten him gifts from a trip to England. He still talks to her and texts her often and is in contact with her family. He goes and gets after-work drinks with coworkers and she's with him. I trust him and don't think he would ever betray me, but I am concerned that he might still have feelings for her and this makes me very uncomfortable. Knowing they talk often and intimately makes me very insecure. My past relationship I was cheated on and emotionally and physically abused, so I feel like this might put me more on edge than usual. I love him very much, but I don't want to be a rebound either. Does anyone have advice or insight?
--------------------
Beware, I'm sure he still has feelings for his ex, it sucks. If he really over his ex, he will totally ignore her, that means no chats, no calls, no connection. Considering you're getting married. I'm sry but if I were you, I would leave~

I got a wonderful little gift bag from a friend while at the hospital. I had a c-section so my stay was a little longer than the normal one would be, and this bag included body wash, some different little bags of candy, a cozy pair of socks and some other little whatnots that felt good to pamper myself with while at the hospital.

I feel quilty about her generousity
--------------------
No Rachel, this is NOT your fault!! This 'generosity' she keeps lavishing on you - i would seriously question the motive behind it. If she is the only friend who makes you feel like this and you have no problems with other friends, then this person has issues and it sounds as if she's using you. For your own sanity i think the time has come to say enough is enough. If you don't feel able to tell her face to face, then write a letter explaining how all this is affecting you and that it would be best if you both went your separate ways. Hope this helps, be strong and don't back down. Good luck & take care xx

You might work off this angle... Goethe once said of Napoleon," Napoleon sought Virtue but she was not to be had, so he got Power instead. " and then there is the reference to Beetoheven scratching out the dedication to his Eroica Sympathy to Napoleon saying after the invasion of Austria, " he's not such a great man after all " . Maybe his stature gave him a huge inferiority complex going from the minor officer he was to an Emperor .... Good luck with this.

I am making my three sisters (ages 16, 22, and 25) Christmas presents, but don't know what to call them!?
I am making each of my sisters a basket with a dvd, manicure scrub, hand cream, nail file, nail polish, and nail polish remover in them. I want to call them some sort of "movie manicure set" but I can't come up with something creative enough! I'm putting instructions on top, emphasizing the fact that we are four sisters, and we can do this together: watch a movie and do our nails. I can't come up with a name for the gifts though to put on top of the directions. Please help!
