Easter gift basket for kid's? Any ideas?
For Easter I usually make small easter gift baskets for my cousins. My boyfriend and I and some other family members went in and bought my 2 older cousins 6 and 5 a Wii since there was stolen. So I still need to get my little cousins who is 2 years old and is a boy and my 11 month old cousin whose a girl something. Any ideas? Something small as both their birthdays are coming up. Thanks!
--------------------
Egg-shaped Play-Doh. During the Easter season, you can find cute little basket stuffers at retailers such as Target or WalMart. Toddlers love to play with Play-Doh so include a little 2 pack of egg-shaped Play-Doh in this year's basket. 2. Easter bunny bouncy ball. Most small children love to ball with bouncy balls. Look for a ball that is either pastel colored for Easter or that contains a bunny inside the ball. Be sure to give bouncy balls that are large enough so that the child cannot swallow them. If it doubt, only give these toys to toddlers over age 3. 3. A small crayon pack and Easter themed coloring book. You really cannot go wrong with crayons in a toddler's basket! Kids this age love to do artwork so encourage their creativity. Look for washable crayons for easy cleanup. 4. Choose one candy item. Rather than filling your toddler's basket full of sugary treats, choose to add just one candy item. A small chocolate bunny is a good idea because you can break it apart and make it last for several days. 5. ABC magnets. Purchase a package of ABC magnets for your refrigerator for older toddlers. Your child will love learning the ABCs and making words on the fridge for weeks and months to come. This gift idea may not be appropriate for younger toddlers who still have a tendency to "taste" everything. 6. Add a small stuffed toy. If your child loves to cuddle with furry animals, add a Easter bunny to the basket. My toddler loves dogs so we'll add a special Easter "doggie" to his gift basket. Choose a stuffed toy that your child will enjoy! nfd?

Gift basket for best friend what to put inside?
well i was going to buy her a tanning package, like what things could go with that? i was thinking lotion and then a friendship soup mix in a jar but that is all i came up with and that doesnt even go together lol ~Thanks
--------------------
well if you want to buy her a tanning package and make a gift basket to go with it I think that is awesome. You could buy her tanning goggles, tanning lotion, some hair ties to put her hair up while she is tanning. Some lip gloss for when she's done.A little cute mirror.A friendship necklace would be nice. Some cute stickers like a playboy bunny to put on while she's tanning it looks kind of like a tattoo after a while and it will show her how light her skin was prior to tanning. You might also add a framed picture of the 2 of you together. good luck!

Gift Idea? Hurricane Baskets?
ok people- gimme some ideas...My family is largely located on the Gulf Coast, and seems to keep getting hit by hurricanes, power outages, tornados, etc. What would you use as a "basket" and what would you put in it? I was thinking a clothes basket with things like a small radio, batteries, pop-top cans of food, juice, flashlights, bottles of water, granola bars, cheese/ crackers, etc... All you yankees- think days without power in a snowstorm, except hot and wet outside! :) Gimme some other ideas!

besides everyone´s suggestions put some stuffed animals, maybe they have kids and a little Teddy bear will help a little.. those packets for making instant hot chocolate and some dehydrated marshmallows... cookies.. hard candies and an encouraging note from you.... good luck!!!!

Separate gifts or gift basket?
Who is usually present a gift basket and who is present separate things for newborn baby and parents? Is there some practice in the US? My main question is what to choose: ready gift basket or to buy by separate goods. Is there some practice for presenting gift baskets in the US
--------------------
If I were to present a gift basket, I would make it up myself. I like to personally choose gifts for such an occasion. Not only would I choose items for the baby, but something for the parents as well. I think that if you choose a ready made gift basket, you might end up giving too many things that they already may have or may not need. A lot of this depends upon how close you are to the family...

Gift basket companies..who is the best?
I tried gifts.com, Harry and david, N country gifts. wine country gifts and they all suck? Who have you tried? Has anyone tried www.attentiontodetailgifts for their gift baskets and fathers day, birthday, kosher items? I have a BIG company and want to know WHO is the BEST company for corporate gifts. I want service. Tell me what you know.
--------------------
MAN...I have THEEEE answer! I tried www.attentiontodetailgifts.com They are by far..the best~ They will answer their phones 24 hrs a day. They keyed my orders in for me and even gave me $5 off each. They told me exactly when it was going to arrive and it did. They called the people I sent the gifts too. Then they emailed me the peoples thank you right away. They even sent me a thank you in the mail with a chocolate in it. They have the cutest tips newsletter. They are MUCH better than all the rest. I send out about 100 corporate gifts per year and would never trust anyone else again to get the job done and to do it exactly right...with NO mistakes. OH..and the pics on the site are exactly what you get...isn't that nice to know? D F Ex. Dir. A & M Ent.

Buy some Fox's U-Bet syrup online. Give them the syrup, plus the recipe for an "egg cream" (chocolate syrup, soda water, and milk). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_cream This is a very old soda fountain drink that was born in Brooklyn. You could also make "black and white" cookies - big cookies with white and chocolate frosting that were also born in Brooklyn. Article (which also mentions egg creams): http://www.newyorkfirst.com/gifts/1072.h Recipe: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/v For California, buy some cheap flip-flops, or boogie boards, or sunglasses at your local pharmacy.

Holiday gift ideas for someone who's Jewish?
I'm making small gift baskets for my coworkers with desserts in them for the holidays. One of my coworkers is Jewish. I don't want him to feel left out but I don't know what to get him since a) he doesn't celebrate Christmas and b) I don't cook according to Kosher tradition. When we have holiday parties, he comes but doesn't really participate because of kosher law. Does anyone have an idea of what I can get him so he doesn't feel left out on purpose?

I would like to make a REDNECK GIFT BASKET any ideas what to use?
One of my friend's b-days is coming up and he is from Texas ( but 100% REDNECK)....i would really LOVE to make him a gift basket. Any ideas what to put in or use would be wonderful! ( He is a diabetic)
--------------------
Put in a Sears catalog (JC Penny might do) and put a sticker on it saying Redneck toilet paper. Put in a pack of paper plates and label it Redneck fine china. Get empty Cool Whip containers (with originial labels still on) and call them Redneck Salad Bowls. Get a flannel shirt and tear off the sleeves and put a label that says Larry the Cable Guy, High Fashion division. And of course find one of those singing bass plaques. Then put in a real nice gift to go along with all of that. It is his birthday, after all.

I need unique gift delivery ideas for my boyfriend?
Hello! I am looking for websites or companies that offer unique gifts that can be delivered to the recipient. I want to send my boyfriend something cool and I want it delivered to his work, but I don't want to go with an old standard like flowers. I sent him Mrs Fields cookies once, and he liked that, but he's trying to be more health-conscious these days so cookies probably wouldn't fly a second time. Can you give me some specific ideas as to creative and unique gifts that are offered through a gift delivery service? I am not interested in most of the "Just For Him" gift baskets that I've seen online - things like cologne or beers of the world or anything like that, I think it would just be too cheesy. (Plus he doesn't drink)
in short, something more off-the-wall that would catch him by surprise, but pleasantly surprised! He loves music - listening to it, recording it, playing it (he plays guitar) so if there was a company or website that does

Christmas Gift basket help?
I am putting together gift baskets for Christmas, I want to do an icecream type theme, I am thinking of calling it a Summer in December basket (opposite of the saying Christmas in July). What do you think, do you have any other ideas? I am putting in cones, waffle bowls, nuts, hot fudge sauce, caramel, cherries, sprinkles, maybe a gift certificate to get the ice cream. What else should I include?
--------------------
Definitely put in the gift certificate to get ice cream, I mean, afterall it is about ice cream, right? Or you can put in a giftcard. Along with the items, maybe add chocolate (some people put chocolate candy like food/kisses on their ice cream). Overall, I think you have enough in the basket but try to add a gift certificate/giftcard! Love the idea!

Hi, Sylvia The Muse again, Please go to "My Profile", Edit My Info, and allow email so we can communicate with you. You can always disallow it afterwards if you like. The path of least resistance is the one people will follow so the easier the better for answers to come your way. The copyright date on your site is 2005. An update with current pics of samples, pricing and target marketing will help. Nursing homes and homes for the aged are a good place to promote yourself because baskets full of necessities can be sold to relatives of residents. The Muse P.S. Still have to take a closer look and you can do the email thing in the meantime.

What Would You Like In Your Gift Basket?
what sort of things do you want in your gift basket, if someone were to give you a gift.
--------------------
Normally I'd say all of the typical things like cheeses, funky salamis, cool crackers and stuff because I have never gotten a gift basket like that. Same goes for a body care gift basket. Never ever have gotten a gift basket with lotions, bubble bath, squishy bath things, etc. Just once I'd like to get something fun like that. It's fun to me because I never get it but I guess to others it would be boring.

My good friend gave me a very good gift for my bridal shower and it came very helpful for my honey moon. She gave me a lot of travel size necesities (soap, shampoos, conditioner, toothbrush, water spritzer, deodarant, first aid kit, medicine, and much more, a few other things as well) She gave it to me in a bag that read bride. I brought it with me on my wedding day, i took it on the plane and my honeymoon. Everytime i needed something i would look inside and sure enough there it was. Hope this can help.

What could I put in a gift box for friends moving to Chicago?
I have friends moving to Chicago. As a going away gift, I'd like to make them a basket filled with things that remind people of Chicago. Something to make them feel a little at home before they go. To start, I was thinking of buying "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" DVD and something of the Cubs. What other items could I put in this big gift basket???
--------------------
Well first off i am happy you're encouraging the Cubs and not the White Sox...well done. Here's what i would pack (being from chicago myself) 1. Vienna Beef Hot Dogs 2. Old Style Beer (gross but totally chicago thing) 3. Bottle of Green Water (our river is green) 4. CTA bus/subway passes 5. While You Were Sleeping DVD (althoug Ferris is a much better choice)

Can you help me find the right thank you gift?
I need to find a unique gift that isn't too expensive for a business mentor/friend of mine. (I am on a budget, but it needs to be a quality gift all the same. I want to keep my gift at or below $100.) I don't know him very well, but I want to purchase a thoughtful, quality gift. I don't want to send a gift basket--I'm looking for something really useful, classy, and unique. The only website I can think to search is Red Envelope--I also looked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's online store. Have any of you gotten a really great and thoughtful gift from a business associate? Or have you bought a really great gift for one? Please tell me about it. About my recipient: He lives in NYC, is in his 50's, and is currently helping me develop my career. He is opening doors for me like no one else has before, so I need to thank him with a special gift.

As an artist, I always lean towards recommending a one-of-a-kind small piece of practical artwork, or an original piece that you know he would like. I have seen some beautiful handmade moneyclips, inlaid knives, carved wooden or stone pens, etc. Or a small sculpture for his office, a framed painting or photo of a subject he likes. An object like that is likely to be treasured for what it is, and for the fact it came from you. Another great idea is an antique reference book, or antique print. I live in Hudson, NY, 2 hours north. The other day I saw some great prints for sale here in town, from artists who first came to America and documented the landscape. These sketches, watercolors, etc. woudl make great gifts! I also saw framed maps of early NYC settlements, historical photos, etc.
