Does anyone know where to get good Tea Gift Baskets?

I got my boss for Kris Kringle, and she loves tea, so I want to get her a big tea basket with different kinds of tea in it. Anyone know a good place to get this? Thank you! :)
--------------------
Wal-Mart and Target carry them, I know, but you could also check at a place like World Market. They'd probably have more variety. Or you could put together a basket yourself. Again, I'd suggest World Market, because they have a whole wall full of different kinds of teas.

How to make my Gift Baskets sell?

I have a website set up it's not great but it will do for now. I handed out alot of flyer's for father;s Day and have got nothing so far. My website is giftsfromgracie.com if anyone can tell me how to improve it to get more sales that would be great. I also will be taking credit cards soon instead of pay-pal.

Hi Jamie... Firstly, congratulations on starting your own business! I took a peek at your website. I understand it may be a temporary site, but here's my 2 cents anyway. Most urgent : - The image at the top doesn't load, which means I see a big box with an "X" in it. A big turn-off when visitors see it. It gives an unprofessional look. - Your photos don't do justice to your gift baskets. They're a wee bit dark. Remember, your website (photos) could be your ONE AND ONLY chance to WOW a potential customer and make him/her contact you. - Your contact is also a Yahoo! email. This is definitely a big NO NO. I notice you are using Yahoo!'s web hosting. Ask them about setting up an email account like enquiry@giftsfromgracie.com. Personally, I NEVER, EVER buy from any store that uses only a free email account. It's one of the first signs of "untrustworthy". Not so urgent : - My first impression of the website is that it could use more color. But remember that too much color can also kill a website. Perhaps you could buy a web template? They don't cost too much. - Your photos should be linked to larger high resolution images so potential customers can see and appreciate what you have to offer. As far as marketing your business is concerned, everyone's ideas above are great. I might also add : - participate in relevant online forums - parenting, lifestyle etc and leave helpful comments with your signature pointing to your website. - write helpful articles and post them online at article sharing websites like ezinearticles.com - add more content to your webssite, like customer feedback, tips on choosing the right gift basket, what types of gifts to give people with specific personalities (the topics are endless). The 2 main purposes of doing this is : First, you are building your reputation as an expert in your field and hopefully, gain your potential customers' trust. Second, you are adding content that Google and other search engines can spider and add to their index. Search engines LOVE content. The more content you have, the higher the chance that one of your webpages will appear in their search results and more people will find you. - The suggestion by thuybee is an important one. If you can manage it, set up a small kiosk in your local mall or marketplace so people can visit you and see your products for themselves. It's also an avenue for you to BE IN TOUCH with the public. A physical store or kiosk re-inforces your credibillity and reputation - that you aren't just going to take people's money online and run. - Run an affiliate program. Offer a commission to your affiliates for leads and sales generated by them. - Sponsor gift baskets for charity events, company gatherings etc. This is all part of your marketing and branding costs. The exposure and goodwill your generate cannot be measure in dollars and cents. - List a handful of your items regularly on eBay or Amazon. Choose seasonal gifts for example, list Sports baskets for Father's day, Toys for Christmas etc. - List your service on Craigslist for free!

Who to contact at corporations to sell them products for use in their giving (gift baskets, client gifts, etc)

If you want to sell something to corporations for them to give to their clients or for use in gift baskets to clients or employees or to give out at conventions or business meetings, who do you contact? Is there a particular employee who usually handles something like this? Human Resources? Someone else?
--------------------
Administration and purchasing departments - they are the ones who source the company supplies. Sometimes they call it the procurement department. If the company is small, the decision to purchase gifts is made no less than by the CEO/COO/Proprietor specially if it is not the usual office supplies requirements.

Do they like to cook? Buy a big mixing bowl, add wooden spoons, measuring cups and spoons, a timer, and a cookbook. Do they like to do word puzzles? Buy a canvas bag and add crossword puzzle books, sudoku books, pens and pencils. Buy a pretty bath towel, unfold and add shampoo, body wash, a bath scrubbie, nail polish, scented lotion then bundle the towel up around it and tie it with a pretty ribbon. You can get most of this stuff at Dollar stores and save a bunch.

How do you make/create a fruit/gift baskets?

Here is the website I would like to imitate. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im…
--------------------
You should pick products that fit the occasion, color scheme, age, religion, sex, dietary restrictions, etc. of the recipient of the gift. You would then need to fill the bottom of your container with newsprint (newspaper without the print) almost to the rim of the container. At this time it would be a good idea to add a piece of floral foam to one side of the container to anchor the enhancements you'll be using. Then you need to add shred to cover the newsprint. Shred comes in many different colors and styles, so be sure to look around before making your selection. Your next step would be to add the products. I like to add the biggest or tallest products in the middle of the container and work my way forward. I have found the easiest method for me is to use skewers and strong packing tape to anchor the products. When you get to the back of the container, face your products outward so the back of the basket looks nice also. When you are done adding products, you would then use silk flowers, tulle, decorative tissue paper, balloons, etc. to enhance your baskets and fill in any bare spots you may have. After you have finished enhancing the gift, you need to decide if you will shrink wrap or cellophane the gift basket. I choose to cellophane most of my designs, I just think it looks nicer. But, if you decide to leave a basket at a business for people to see, I would recommend shrink wrapping to prevent people from sampling and pulling apart the basket. When you start to cellophane the basket, it might take a few times before you can get comfortable enough with the process of making the cellophane tight enough to look nice. I use curling ribbon the hold the cellophane in place and fan out the top. You should include a handmade bow, in my opinion it just looks a lot better than a pull-bow. There are many ways to make handmade bows. I use the bowdabra. It's very easy to use and comes with complete instructions. Ribbon comes in many different widths and colors. Remember to stay with the color scheme so everything flows together. Ideally, you should leave three forms of advertising on the basket. These should include a gold-foiled sticker at the top of the cellophane fan, the enclosure card and your business card

Gift Baskets - would you buy them?

If you were looking for gift baskets and stumbled upon a website that had gift baskets for different price ranges and a choice of mens, womens, or unisex for each price range. Would you buy them? Each style would have a list of what kind of things would be in it and a picture of an example, but each one would be a little different. Would you trust that or would you want to know exactly what was in the basket before you bought it? It's a business idea of mine but i thought i would get consumer opinions first to see if it would be marketable.
--------------------
If your thinking of going into that business, yes it's great business. What your saying exists somewhat, but there's lots of room for growth. It's tricky though and costly to make the catalogs and get them out there. I do it but it's part of our business( gourmet market) so we have other things to fall back on. There are some famous companies out there that do very well and people go by the picture you show.( usually no questions asked) You also have to add a clause that says "some items may be substituted" ( in the pic because it will happen at times). It's a spotty business with 80% of all sales coming on x-mas and the other 20% the other 364 days of the year. Need more info? Feel free to email me

I want to start my own small business. And thinking GIFT BASKESTS. But how popular are gift baskets???

Are gift baskets really popular??? Or what other ideas are there for me. Anything small!! Low capital. Please.
--------------------
It is a great idea. However no business will go anywhere without a game plan of how you are going to market them. Make samples and show them to friends and family and encourage them to tell who they know. Maybe have a "tupperware" party if you will. Contact different businesses that like to give items like this and get them your contact information. If you are a little internet savvy try to put up something on myspace.com I like giving the ones made by people rather then what is found in the store as it always looks better and is more unique. Best of luck!

Do You Like "Harry and David" gift baskets?

I just ordered a huge gift package of baked goods to send to my boyfriend who's in college.(It's called the "new delux bakery tower"; you could check it out on their website and tell me what you think!) I have never ordered from them, or even tried their food before. Is it good? Has anyone ever ordered from them before? Do you think my boyfriend will like it? (I hope so...he always says that he appreciates "thoughtful and sentimental" gifts the most..what if he doesn't like it?:(
