i have the mother in law from hell. she came to my house n commented on the new etched chrystal glasses i got 80% off n bin. when she left the items were gone, how on earth does someone steal 7 cups n a bin.the brother knows there is no smoking in the house. he stayed over for a week n i found 40 cigarettes in my beautiful spare bedroom. he had stubbed them out in my grandmas china cups that were displayed there. she left them when she passed away. the sister ignores me on facebook but is nice to my face. when i met the mother i bought her a gift cos i wanted to make a good impression, i bought her a lo'occetaine gift basket. i got it on sale with the specials they had n instead of paying $600 it was $180.i added a few things that i got at another shop 2.lo'occetaine is a super expensive brand for really rich people, id never be able to afford it if it wasnt for the special.it was a huge gift basket with gourmet treats, hand cream, face cream, bath oil, reed difuser,3 scented soaps, foot balm, sugar scrub, perfume,3 scented oils, 3 scented candles, incense, relaxation cd,fardoulis chocolates, a bottle of her favourite sparkly etc. it was beautifully gift wrapped. anyway she hated it, she put it to the side like it doesnt matter, didnt really even thank me. 6 months later she has a go at me n said it was inconsiderate of me to buy her a gift like that, i asked her why n she said that i was flashing my money, but i didnt say to her "oh my god this was so expensive".i dont know how someone can change that aorund, the next time i went away i bought her back a gift from overseas, a fine bone china teaset i got a victorias basement they are only maybe 100 anyway n thats not alot for a teaset anyway, she didnt seem intersted, all she said was i wish youd gotten me perfume like you gave to kate (my sis inlaw). she comes over for tea, doesnt comment on the food, i made roast pork, all she said was, i wish youd let me help you, but it was already made when they arrived then she helped me serve.she is so ungrateful. i redecorated our spare bedroom, i bought at auctions online, deceased estates n garage sales n i furnished the whole thing amazingly for 250. i bought beautiful antique furniture that someone thought was worth nothing n sanded it back n laquered it, i went to alot of trouble for this n when she sees it she says nothing, then says to my partner that i offended her by showing her cos shes not good at baragins hopping, my partner also agrees stupid reason to be angry.the brother doesnt flush the toilet, drank out of our milk, (i caught him), picks his nose n eats it, plays with his belly button then smells his finger at the dinner table then wiped the contents on my grannys napkins that she left me.he comes to our house n opened my partners 6 month anniversary pressent, it was a bottle of gentlemen jack.when we first moved to the area nearer to them cos we lived on the other side of the country we bought all new furniture as we sold all our old cos it costs too much to move furniture that wasnt very nice anyway.we saved for a year like crazy. when we got the the area she came with us shopping for furniture then at the end of the day wouldnt speak to me n i didnt know why. my sister in law later tells me that she is upset cos she was eying a $1800 dinig set n i didnt buy it for her, how on earth can she be angry about that, its my money.she came to our house warming n didnt bring a gift. she came to my partners bday n bought a card, shes not even poor thats the funny thing.she rings up my partner all the time saying her psychic intuition told her within 10 minutes of meeting me that i have the devil inside me. im a seventh day adventist so we are super churchy ppl. his sister believes th intuition fromt he start. they even said we have ghosts in our house n evil spirits that want to hurt n kill me. who says that to someone. she said one of the rooms is really cold, but thats cos it has 3 2mx2m windows so its gonna be cold cos windows let out heat n let in cold.shes so nice to my face but says awful thing to everyone else.she says the craziest things like she said to me in a conversation that domestic abuse is normal. whos says that to someone. she manipulates my partner n brings up things like he accidently ran over the brothers cat 12 years ago n she brings it upa llt he time.she even got angry that we shouted the whole family pizza, apparently that was my partner flashing around money but it wasnt, we just didnt want to cook n it was a movie night.im a portly girl n she says to my partner, she will only get bigger, have you seen those ppl on tv that are so fat that they cant walk, she could become that.all because ive gained 8kilos in 18months.she wastes heaps and heaps of her money on lottery tickets, ebay crap that she doesnt need, 4 crap cars in the driveway etc then calls me out on buying pizza. another thing is i really want children some day, like 4 or 5 n my partner does too, i come froma big family n id

Dining with pigs, meet at a central place like CiCi pizza, cheap and usually bugger pickers will refrain while in public.

More often than not, people will buy gift baskets during seasonal time, occasionally on special days, once in awhile for the loved one. Whatever you get from Yahoo Answers are not well distributed and represented. For more and comprehensive details, my advise is to purchase a copy of survey from business consultants.

The 50's......?
Hi, My co-workers and I are in charge of an annual party given this time of year at our place of employment. This years theme is Going To The Hop, so everything is 50's related, in addition to good food, were having a contest of sorts for anyone dressed most accurately according to the era they will receive a gift basket filled with goodies. I am also in charge of creating the gift basket {which isnt a problem perse because its a fledgling business I'm trying to start}; at any rate I was hoping that someone can help me with some ideas for the basket, so far I have bottles of coke and pez candy dispensers and chesse whiz to put in the basket what else was fun and popular during the 50's that would hold up well in a gift basket. Thank you for your help....
--------------------
If you could find some speciality candy stores (plenty of them on the internet) and look for nostalgic 50's candy items: Beeman's Pepsin Gum Adam's Clove Gum Adam's Blackjack Gum Neccos Abba Zabbas Big Hunks Look Bars Seven UP bars Adam's Teaberry Gum........You get the idea.......Now, if you can find Grape NiHi Soda, you're set to go.......need some appetizer ideas, I have a TON of them, 50's themed.....email me at my 360 profile page..... (Geez, thinking about the 50's and how cool that era was, brings a tear to my eye *he sniffs*) Christopher

Is "Don't waste your breath talking to me!" direct enough to tell a guy off after he disappointed you??
He asked me to make him something...a gift basket. We're friends so I went ahead to make him happy. I don't usually, but this guy is usually nice. Well now he says he still wants it but acts like he doesn't!!! I'm mad and I want to know how other ppl would handle this situation. I have decided yet whether still being friends is important...so tell me in your statement how to handle it and if still being friends is right or wrong!
--------------------
I dunno if you wanna tell him not to waste his breath because he might take that as you NEVER want to speak to him. It sounds like he is playing mind games with you. Its NOT cool I like people to say what they mean and do as they say. I think the best way to handle this would be to play games right back. Tell him you gave his basket to someone else (You don't really have to do that though) I think that by giving him the basket now when he's acting rude and not showing interest in it, and not picking it up when he said he was going to would be rewarding him for bad behaviour. Men are kind of like kids and most of them are dogs so why not treat them like one. You have to train them just like dogs. When he does something good reward him by giving him the basket or saying something nice to him. When he is bad then don't talk to him or give him any attention, put him in the "doghouse,' figuratively. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know websites I can go to to advertise a gift basket business.

ebay, or try google adwords. Amazon also is definitely an option. Or you can buy email leads and just do the advertising yourself.

Ladies survey: Do you think this was this inconsiderate of me?
I have a sort-of girlfriend; we have been together many years, but I think it's clear to both of us that we won't be together much longer. We still live together as roommates. Today she received a gift basket from a friend that lives back east. This friend she grew up with, and though they have little contact anymore, they remember each other at Christmas. This gift basket had high quality fruit in it, and since I am a vegetarian, fruit is an indulgence for me, especially stuff like this. I just tore into the fruit basket and got at the fruit--I didn't stop to think about maybe her wanting to open the basket herself when she gets home from work---I just wanted that fruit. It occurred to me that maybe she would be mad, but at that point, the gift basket was in shreds, although there's lots left from it, of course. I'm halfway considering hiding it and saying one never showed up. Am I in big trouble? I'm sick from eating all the fruit, too. Was I an inconsiderate jerk?
--------------------
Yes, you are, this time, yes you are. You better show it to her and apologize right away. She will probably be pissed. I would.

need help fundraiser???
I am doing a fundraising event at my chruch. And we can sell whatever it is that we want. We have to you know set a price on what we sell to make a good profit. I'm doing two things. Never did this before, I want to do something with body products ( ex. body wash, lotion, lip gloss etc.) and maybe make a gift basket out of it..or sell it separately or both..idk. Also something with foods. So if any body can give me some advice i would appreciate it. Or if u have a different idea that will be fine too. THANK YOU!
--------------------
You can make a good profit on food products if you make the items yourself. Everyone loves homemade chocolate candy and other goodies. They really aren't hard to make, and most people can't resist. :-) You could make anything from fudge, to truffles, to chocolate covered caramel apples or chocolate covered pretzels, etc. (Now, I'm making myself drool!) :-) You could also make themed chocolates from molds. They, too, are easy to make and can be made as lollipops/suckers and wrapped in little cellophane bags and a bit of ribbon or twist tie. The mark up on these items would be really good. I think perhaps more than you would be able to get for purchased goods like the body products you mentioned. Hope your church raises all the funds you need! :-)

what should i put in?
my friend broke his wrist and i wanted to get him a gift basket...any ideas what i should put in it..??...thanks
--------------------
I don't know how old your friend is, but I just did a gift basket for my 27yo daugther. I found it to be fun with buying the stuff I put in it. One good thing to put in is hard to explain, I dont know what you call them...they're squeeze balls..you put it in the palm of your hand and squeeze it..it will help in the healing of his wrist. I went to the Dollar Tree and Dollar General Stores. I got her a keyschain with a funny saying, and a 19.00 sweat jacket for 2.99, shampoo, body soap, a t-shirt that said "All Stressed Out..And No One To Choke!" a paperback book and a case to put her cellphone in. The basket I bought was also part of her gift becausr it could be used for alot of other things. Also, a dvd she wanted. So, your options are plenty. You know what he likes, have fun with it and don't forget the get well soon card.

Wow you can plan a party for me anytime. For the gift basket, i love putting these together...Put things in that have to do with everything your planning to do for the evening. The fun part is hunting everything down to fill the thing. So something having to do with dinner, a blanket for the football game and little whatnot's that have to do with that...And anything having to do with spa stuff...They have those stores in the mall with all the smelly stuff, pampering things. Have a blast putting it together... The other stuff you have planned sounds great, no need to add anything, oh maybe a cake...

Does anyone have a recipe for a honey caramel corn?
Hi...so here's the thing. I received a nice gift basket during the holidays and it had a package of caramel corn in it that was made with honey. The flavor was so...WOW...like I had never tasted on caramel corn before. I would like to try to make something similar and am a pretty good cook, but just don't really know where to start as far as making up a recipe for that. Does anyone have this recipe? I would so appreciate a starting point (as I usually twist and turn a recipe until it is what I want, but a starting point is essential). Thank you for any help you may be able to give and have a wonderful weekend!
--------------------
The grated orange peel really brings out all the other flavors in this recipe for Honey Caramel Corn. 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup honey 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon grated orange peel 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 3 quarts popped corn Preparation: Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Melt butter in LARGE pan, stir in sugar, honey and salt. Cook and stir until mixture comes to boil. Reduce heat to medium boil without stirring about 3 minutes to 250 degrees. Remove from heat stir in baking soda and orange peel, put popcorn in large bowl and pour mixture over corn while stirring. Turn on to cookie sheet bake for 45 minutes stir every 15 minutes. Let cool. Break up with hands. Store in airtight containers or resealable plastic bags.

Do Y!A liberals agree with Bill Maher that Obama is over-exposed and needs to stop acting like a rock star?
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/comm
'President Obama should just join the cast of "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" It's not that farfetched; he's been on everything else. I'm still a fan, but there's a fine line between being transparent and being overexposed. Every time you turn on the TV, there's Obama. He's getting a puppy! He's eating a cheeseburger with Joe Biden! He's taking the wife to Broadway and Paris -- this is the best season of "The Bachelor" yet!..... Remember during the campaign when John McCain attacked Obama for acting like a celebrity and we all laughed at the grumpy old shellshocked fool? Well, it turns out he was right. Sorry, senator. I'm sending a nice gift basket of high-fiber muffins your way.'

Are these good?
I was wondering if these were good Holliday presents for my mom, dad and brother. And we arent like typical american families where the older brother thinks he's all that and walks around in baggy jeans and plays video games, and my dad is not one of those beer drinking, overweight baseball fans, and my mom isn't a pirssy drama queen. 2 dreams that will drive me crazy if I dont find out what they mean: Dream #1?: first before I get to my dream I like these two guys, one i just started to like the other Ive liked for way too long. ok, so Im at a crosscountry meet, and people are running and the guy I ve liked for too long, eric is in the lead, and wins, and the race he comes over to me and hugs me and we re really close, but the anouncer calls him back and afterward he just went over to his friends, but kept looking back at me. after that I was in some room and the other guy Dan, is there and he got me a really nice gift basket, but when I go to thank him I cant find him and when I do he ends up somewhere else. and its really hard to reach him. I know they arent really exciting dreams, but I KNOW they have a lot of meaning in them and I really need som,e help interpreting it so my opinion isnt bias. dream #2: Im just going to tell you a short part. we were in disneyland in splashmountain walking along where the water is. and my moms friend jane had my mom carrying booze along behing her on a long rope, each one linked together, but my mom slipped into the water and started to sink really fast and she just barely got away by untying the rope. i had anther dream of her drowning earlier last night too.. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK IT MEANS :[
--------------------
First dream: I think you and Eric have strong feelings for each other..and you think eric is the best guy for you....but maybe his friends are blocking him from being closer to you(maybe even more than he is now). And Dan might be a shy person so therefore you might feel shy when your around him..and if you are close to dan as well you might feel that he is a really caring guy but he's not there for you as often as Eric is. Second dream: There might be an obstacle or problem is your mothers life(that might be a result of her being irresponsible) that is dragging her and her self-confidence,down. So, she becomes dependent on her friends(and maybe family as well)

Congrats to the expectant mother! As for proofreading, it is grammatically correct. My suggestion, despite having added the website, would be to include an address and city for Stony Ridge. You say "in lieu of the wishing well", and I'm just not quite sure what that means. Where I'm from (Chicagoland), people just bring a gift to a baby shower. If it means that you are specifically asking for baby clothes...........I'm not sure if I dig it. The 'diaper raffle' as it is sometimes called is a great idea - my sister got tons of packages of diapers that lasted more than 3 months! But be aware: people will consider a package of diapers as part of their gift - which means you could end up with less of something else. Hope that makes sense. If it is your shower, have a great time! Best wishes to the mom-to-be for a great pregnancy, pain-free labor, and smooth delivery! :)
