Electronic Accessories?

I got my sons a Wii (from grandparents for both kids), PSP and the new ipod nano for Christmas. I want to make "gift baskets" since I told them they were each only getting one gift from me this year. Any suggestions on what accessories for these I should add to the baskets?

They keep sending me gifts... what would you do?

I'm a property manager at a high rise office complex. Our secuirty officer contract is up for re-bid. For the past 6 months, one security company (not the one we are currently have a contract with) has been sending me and my staff all kinds of gifts.... Omaha Steaks, Gift baskets, Flowers, gift cards, birthday cards, holiday cards, lol they even sent holiday cards to a few of the tenents lol ... I feel kinda obligated to award them the contract, how would you feel?? Thanks
--------------------
Considering I work in the security field, I wouldn't base who gets the contracts solely off of gifts. I would do a little shopping around, have a couple other companies come out and give you a consultation, see what they have to offer. You might find that they're giving you gifts to turn your eye from poor workmanship. Just an idea.

How do you say...you smell?

I have a co-worker who has a very healthy lifestyle. She's vegan, uses only natural products and only drinks water. She doesn't use deodorant because she claims it's "bad" for you and doesn't need it anyhow due to her healthy diet. The problem is...she does need it! How do we suggest to her that she try using, at least, one of the "natural" deodorants on the market? And what are some that really work? Maybe we'll make her up a gift basket!
--------------------
A gift basket sounds good to me!! There are many great natural deodorants that are "not anti-perspirants which use aluminum" that is unhealthy and goes straight to your lymph glands in armpit. Some research has stated that the incidence of breast cancer has risen since the use of anti-perspirants. The natural health idea is to allow the sweat process but smell nice. A great natural deodorant is Amazing THAI Crystal Deodorant Mist. Inexpensive about $5 at Whole Foods Market and lasts over a year. Tom's has some good ones. Sunrider has a great one, but very expensive and has to be ordered on line.

I need ideas for holidays gifts for my family that aren't too expensive. (College student on a budget.) HELP!?

I'm visiting some of my relatives for the holidays. The ideas I had in mind were: 1. For my aunt and uncle and my cousins who live in that house- give them a gift basket that can be used for their home. (i.e. the kinds that come with holiday food or whatever.) 2. Give another one to my other cousin + his roommate. Since they're also young and on budgets. 3. Give everyone my handmade holiday cards (I'm an art student and they have been a huge success in the past) along with treat bags or candy canes, etc. Please keep in mind that I come from a huge family. These are the ones that I know for sure I'll be seeing. But on that side of the family, I'm 1 of 20 cousins + their spouses and kids + my aunts and uncles + great aunt and uncles, etc... I know it seems early to think about, but I need to plan ahead for money's sake. Also, if these are ok ideas- does anyone know if Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage, or Sunflower market sell vegan friendly holiday food gift baskets? I'd like to get them something that is environmental friendly/ cruelty free. (Just an FYI, we don't have a trader joe's where I live.)

I need ideas ... for teacher gifts... on Valentine's day.?

I feel bad.. I never got things together in time to gift my child's preschool teachers + director + p/t staff this past Christmas. I'd like to make it up to them by giving some type of creative gift(s) this Valentine's day instead. I need to keep it within a reasonable budget.. but not cheap...I'm thinking of some type of small gift baskets.. but stuck on the big picture from there. I don't want to go with typical things like shower gels or desktop teacher gifts.. ya know... trying to be creative.
--------------------
I used to own a teacher store and we would make up gift baskets to themes that are covered in each grade. Our baskets would run anywhere from $10 to $50. I would try to include a book to read aloud to the children, a teacher resource book (Teacher Created Resources makes really nice theme-based books at the early childhood level), something hands-on like a game or puppet, perhaps a fun notepad or accent decoration or stickers, and something just for the teacher like a bookmark, gift certificate, etc. Example: If your theme is ice cream, you could put in a book about how ice cream is made, a TCR book on ice cream, an accent packet of ice cream cones, and a $5 gift certificate to DQ. If you are located anywhere near a medium to large city, there is probably a teacher store--or order from one online. Ask your child's teacher what themes they will be covering in the spring. For the top of the basket, have your child help you make a heart-shaped card that says something like, "I love my teacher because she makes learning fun." Teachers loved these because they were useful and fun at the same time.

The roses were a sweet thought, but the puppy probably made you look a little desperate. Women like me who are confident. Don't obsess over her. Just smile if you see her and if she talks to you, talk back. Good luck ; )

Poll: Is a Basket of Burgers a great Valentines Day Gift ..?

....If so ....ummm .... Sharp Cheddar & some bacon are nice touches
--------------------
it depends on where they are from(some fast food burgers don't stay good long!, they get all mushy and the lettuce goes bad too!, but if it was from someone's favorite place, for sure!) and maybe you could put the ketchup on them for me in the shape of little hearts!

Is this a good gift idea?

Ok, my twin's birthday (and mine) is in two weeks and I have an idea and I need your opinion on it. I'm thinking of buying a small basket and putting candy, and $10 gift card to iTunes, a ring she really wants in it. I'm trying to think of something big to put in the basket but I'm stumped. Any ideas? She's a big Jane Austen fan (she has all her books) and she loves clothes and baseball and a few other stuff that I can't think of right now. THANKS!
--------------------
I would say maybe get her one of Jane Austen's books (a one she dose not have :P) and then the gift will be complete. that's an awesome idea by the way :) Your really good at picking gift ideas :) P.S : I need to think of something for you :D

Would this taste good after two days?

I'm making this as a part of a gift basket http://www.recipezaar.com/Caramel-Popcor… Would it still taste good two days after I make it? I'm also making cookies and freezing them so they stay fresh, could the popcorn be frozen with them? The cookies and popcorn with be placed inside plastic and tins, would that have any negative effect when I'm freezing them?
--------------------
They would still be good without freezing them.Cookies would probably dry out and popcorn would get really sticky and gooey once they defrost.

you don't have to use it everyday once you have built up to your desired color and the color holds pretty well too. It will start to fade about a week after stopping use. But as gradual as it built up

Ever heard of a "leave behind" gift?

I am a basket weaver and want to make small baskets with candy in them, for sales people to leave behind when they get turned down by a client. This way, the sales person can go back in a couple weeks and refill the basket for that potential client and get their foot in the door again...who wants this type of service? Who gets turned down the most or who has the hardest time getting new clients?
--------------------
If the sales person goes back in a couple of weeks I'd bet the basket is empty and in the garbage.People turn down salespersons because they don't want or need what they're selling and it just irks people when they keep on persisting.

what gift to give a 15 year old boy who loves basket ball?

must come cheap
--------------------
There are basketballs that light up when you're playing, go to sportsauthority.com or do a search for light up basketball. I got them for my teen niece and her best friend and they LOVED them, in fact everyone at every basketball game loved them and one was robbed, so if you do get it for him, tell him don't leave it unattended! It has a pin to turn it on and off and when it's in motion, the whole ball lights up, it's awesome and I think I paid about $25 or less for it. It is the size of a regular basketball. It's very unique and it was a HUGE hit!! You can also get him something that has to do with his favorite basketball team, maybe a shirt, basketball shorts, something for his room that has his favorite team's name, etc. Maybe one of those giant cut outs of his favorite player, framed poster of his favorite player, etc. I hope some of these ideas help!

Making/Selling porcelain dolls? Other ideas?

I have had a lot of time to think. I'm a stay at home mom, and I would really like to start making porcelain dolls as a hobby, and to sell for extra money around the house. Has anyone done this? Is there anything else I can do on the side besides candles? I really don't want to do gift baskets.
--------------------
Hi, In order to make porcelain dolls you will have to be able to pour them and fire them which means you need special equipment, I suggest you look into creating Reborn Dolls. They are the newest dolls for collectors. You don't need special equipment besides the paint and needles to make them. It is a wonderful hobby and can be profitable once you are good at it. You can see some Reborn Dolls on this website. http://lastingmemoriesnursery.com Hope that this helps. Debbie

A memory box to puts her precious stuff in. Something that has the name of the city that your living in. A disposable camera so she can take pictures of the place she is moving to. Stationary and so she could mail back to all of you. And a letter from everyone telling her how much she means to you. Yup thats good enough.
