Baby Shower Present Ideas?

So my sister is having a baby in october and her baby shower is in august. I am throwing the shower. So far all ive gotten as my present is clothes and bibs. Since I am the only aunt I want to have a really great present, something my sister will love. But not too expensive im thinking under $100. Any ideas on something unique i could do with the clothes and bibs ive already gotten her? maybe like a giant gift basket? Here are the things she already has: crib changing table rocker high chair stroller car seat diaper bag any ideas on something unique and inexpensive that i can give as a present?
--------------------
How about a diaper cake? You could look on Youtube for how to make one. I think they are really nice & very practical. The diapers from mine lasted me well over a month. It was 3 layers and stuffed with all sorts of goodies (lotions, baby wash, butt paste, spoons, socks, hair bows..etc)!

Christmas gifts for my boss and co-worker?

My boss is a Chiropracter. His wife is the office manager. Normally I get them a combined gift of either a basket from peperidge farm or a gift certificate for a restaurant. She is pregnat again with her fourth child. It will probably be hard for them to get out to go to a restaurant by themselves. Is there something tastefull that I can give them thats not to expensive. There is someone else in the office. I don't know what to get him either. It needs to be something appropriate for people you work with.
--------------------
Since they are expecting their fourth child and may not be able to get out to a restaurant, why not try a basket filled with microwave popcorn, fun candy treats and either a nice DVD that they have said they wanted or a gift card for one that they can pick out themselves. If you want you can also slip in a gift card for a restaurant that delivers. Hope this helps!!

do you slip a little pressie for you into your shopping basket when your doing your christmas shopping?

i do..esp when im buying in boots where they have 3 for 2 deals and i have a 'free' gift left over to get and noone to give it to!
--------------------
Of course.Boots are brill for their special offers, I buy a lot of my pressies there.2 out of 3 of my friends get a gift that cost me nothing. That way I can afford to buy something nicer.I like a little treat for myself too, because I'm worth it.;o) Just rewarded you with a star.

Valentines day is coming up????

A two day gift basket????? Wann send my bf a two day gift basket but I dont know what kind oof flowers to pick for him. And chocolate strawberries. Need help!!!!
--------------------
Red Roses are the traditional flower, but some of the assortments of white/pink/red are very pretty. Carnations are another favorite (and are generally less expensive) As for the strawberries, some of the places that make them (ours included) let you pick the chocolate type for the strawberries; that way if he does not like one type of chocolate it's no problem. Strawberries are very perishable so you should send them to an address where he'll be at (or at least someone will be there), apartment complexes are not recommended because the drivers sometimes will not leave them unattended because of security concerns.

What do I get him?

I am about 12, so stick with me here, but I really like this boy who is 11, and I am making him a gift basket for Christmas. I am trying to keep a low budget, but I also want it to NOT look like I threw some junk in a basket. Any ideas for what I could do?
--------------------
You could put a hand made coupon book for him. Include in it different dates and activities that you know he would like to do. A walk in the park, a day at the zoo, Dinner at your house... the sky is the limit. You could also include a few more "fun" coupons too, like Free access to your breasts for fifteen minutes, a night of strip poker, an afternoon of truth or dare... mix these in with the more wholesome ones of course, but surprise him with some real fun too.

Friend's 21st-Where to get a cute flask?

One of my friend's in the sorority is turning 21 soon, and we have a thing where we always make them a gift basket kind of thing. Where should we get a cute flask? ...Preferably online, since our school is in the middle of nowhere and we've already checked the actual stores around here, and not too much money, since we are all in college and there's a chance it might get killed at a frat party pretty quickly. Also, if you have any other good ideas to put in the basket, that would definitely help :) Thanks!

well since u live in the middle of nowhere idk. and i know this sounds wierd but one time i was in Claires and they had one but, maybe you can try the web.

Education majors (20 characters)?

My younger sister will be graduating from college this May. She is an Education major with an intent to teach upper elementary grades. For graduation I want to make her a little "gift basket" of some sort with items that she will use in school, but I'm not really sure what to include in the basket. Does anybody have any ideas? She already has been employed at a local elementary school and their mascot is the bulldog. Their school colors are blue and purple with accents of white and black, if that gives you any ideas.
--------------------
I think you should go to an Education Station or to the school supply section of Wal-Mart. I'm sure you'll get some inspiration there! Some things that every teacher finds useful: - Sticky notes - Paper clips. At my Wal-Mart they have some in the shape of bones, which would be cute since their mascots is the bulldog. http://www.amazon.com/CLIPIT-Dog-Bone-Pa… (they are cheaper at Wal-Mart!) She also might need the big ones, like this: http://myitchyfingers.files.wordpress.co… They have decorative and colorful ones as well. - Push pins. My Wal-Mart also has decorative push pins. I saw some that were ladybugs and were just adorable! - Dry erase markers/chalk (depending on what type of board they have in the classroom) - Tape. You can also find cute tape dispensers around stores. - Sharpie pens. - Highlighters. - Sticker sheets. - Memo pads. You can find them all kinds of shapes and designs. I'm sure you can find some in an apple, bone, or doghouse! - Clipboard. You can find decorative/colorful ones.

under-the-sea present?

im making my mom a gift basket: cute soap shells, santa starfish ornament, and and book of 'poems under the sea'. so, as you can tell, its a beachy-sea themed basket. i'm already over my budget, so what else could i include? im going to make her bake 'fishy' cupcakes and put them into a cute plastic sea bag w/ blue ribbion. maybe even a draw some stuff too. what else can i make? nothing too childish plz (im 14)
--------------------
Go to a craft store or Wal Mart, buy a small fishbowl (they are under $1 and have scalloped edge top). Fill the bowl with sand, various shells, and other beach themed items. Go to the dollar store and buy a pillar candle, use a paint brush to apply a thin layer of craft glue to the candle. Roll the candle in sand. Then, use craft glue to attach small sea shells or other similar items. Cut a picture frame out of cardboard or buy a dollar store wooden frame. Use craft glue to attach starfish and seashells to the picture frame. Melt a dollar store candle over medium heat on the stove until it forms a wax, pour the candle wax into a giant shell (such as a large conch shell or similar shell), then insert the wick from the dollar store candle into the shell. Let harden overnight. In the morning, trim the wick down to the right size. Put this in a cellophane bag with sand, and small shells. Take a starfish, and cut a skirt, sunglasses, and a coconut bra out of fun foam, use craft glue to attach these to the starfish, and then attach a pin back. For a boy, cut shorts and sunglasses.

--------------------
Do the unusual, take him to the movies for a change. Dad's don't like ties and such anymore. Over the years, my children have treated me to a wide range of experiences. Including a trip to a casino and a riverboat cruise. Since there are 7 of them, they can now pool their funds. What's on tap this year? I have no idea, as usual their Mom has the inside scoop! Even when they were young, I appreciated the hand made cards more than the store bought ones. Dads are a different animal.

What are some good gifts for a mom with a baby in NICU?

My cousin's wife just had an emergency c-section about 2.5 months early and her baby will be in the NICU for a few months, I would like to make a basket of things for MOM to keep her occupied, take her mind off things, relax, food stuff...I am looking to spend around $50. Thanks :)
--------------------
My daughter was born 6 weeks early and stayed in the NICU for a month. As a NICU mom I can tell you, it's not easy! What a wonderful idea, I wish someone would have done that for me! Things I think are a good idea to include in the basket are: slippers, purell hand sanitizer (always washing your hands in NICU!) a journal for mommy to write about what's happening for the baby later, a note pad to jot down names and numbers of health prof. and new friends made in the NICU, hand lotion (from washing your hands so much!), a disposable camera, snacks, information about preemie's and baby wearing (as the hospital may not tell you), a warm throw blanket for mom to snooze with in the rocking chair, and maybe even a gift certificate for mom and dad to go out to dinner....you need to take a break from the NICU sometimes! Awww....I really hope she enjoy's the gift basket and knowing she's got a good friend thinking of her!

"Welcoming baby show" invitation?

Has anyone gotten an invitation to a "Welcoming baby show" in the mail and actually attended it? The invitation says you will get a gift basket worth $129 and I was just wondering if this was true. I figure they are trying to sell me something but I wondered if the gift was worth the sales pitch.
--------------------
My husband and I went to something similar to that. We sat through an hour presentation of them trying to sell us a $2000 crib. Our "gift basket" was a bunch of coupons to their products or to things you would never buy.

Is my husband jealous or just hates me?

a few days ago my sister had a baby and called her Trisha, well, my husband who has a hard time remembering names, so he tried to associate the baby's name with something that will help him remember it. The best he came up was the "trash", he told me so and I got hurt but decided not to make a big deal, so I didn't say anything. A few days later while shopping at Costco, I asked him to pick up a gift basket because we will be going to visit my sister on Sunday. Well, my husband said that he bought a new TRASH basket. I don't understand if he is doing it on purpose or it is just a coincidence, it feels like he is, but then why would he want to hurt me? What do you think? And if he is doing it on purpose why? He is always doing stuff like that, it's making me think he wants me out of his life?
--------------------
First you want to Tell him why he's doing that that he thinks it bugs you. Don't let him know his achieving it. My opinion is that he's just a rude man, He grew up like that, with no fine manners. That does not mean he hates you. Trust me, it takes more than that to show hate.
