Mom's 50th Birthday!! Gift Ideas?
Mom is turning the big 5-0. My father, my brother, and I are throwing her a surprise party and flying out her friends from back home (we moved awhile ago) and we know that "being thogether is the best gift" but seriously... we want to buy her something. She doesn't like any spa things, clothes, or jewelry since that's always what everyone gets her, thus asking you guys... We're putting together a basket of good gifts and gag ones. We've already got custom m&ms, a custom wine glass, and a slap-chop (inside joke). Be creative and thank you!!

Christmas gift ideas for my Boyfriend?
We've only been dating a couple months, and are not yet sexually active, so nothing like that please I'm on a super tight budget, and have this idea for the 12 days of Christmas. Day: 1. Picture of the two of us, in a nice frame 2. Cologne of some sort 3. Gift basket- What to put in it? He doesn't really like chocolate, and cookies hurt his tooth... NO clue what to put in this basket 4. Superman movie, tshirt, poster, or boxers or something *he's MY superman, That's what i call him* 5. 70 things I love about him... one for each day we've been dating 6. Homemade card.. or something 7. Funny Movie he HASN'T seen. *he's seen a LOT of movies* Jim Carey is his favorite actor, this'll be a toughy, but I'll figure it out, since you guys don't know what he has and hasn't seen 8. Need help with gift for my SIL....?

hi. i make gift boxes alot and have found out that craip paper or tissue paper works best. just buy a nice basket, tissue paper and clear celephayne, will also need ribbon and sticky tape. all up it cost me around $10 australian, which is very cheap. - wrap a ribbon around the handle like a spiral and put a bow on it. - line the basket with the tissue paper, two colours works best, making a - star shape from different layers, so that the corners poke p and out. - arrange your presents nicely and prop them up with more paper. - clear celephayne to wrap the whole thing up. place it under the basket and bunch it up and tape the top bit and put another bow on it around the tape.

'manly' christmas gift that boyfriend will really appreciate?
So, to start with, for all practical purposes, let's just say that we've been dating for a long time. There's no need to be nervous thinking about what he'll like or not - I'm just looking for extra ideas. I gave him part one of his Christmas gifts.. which is a split heart key chain that has my name engraved in it [I have the other half with his name engraved in it] but now I want to get him something 'manly', like 'guy stuff' that he would really appreciate. He works quite a bit, and his back hurts all the time.. and he's tired a lot and not getting enough sleep because juggling school, work and a girlfriend is tough. So I'm looking for things that will help him out and make him feel better..I was going to get a little gift basket and fill it with little [or big] 'guy stuff' that he could use and be really thankful for- what should I put in there? So far, I was thinking.. couples massage gift certificate, money clip, boxers [would silk be good? or just plain cotton?], a small grooming kit & little bath items [because i know guys like to look good too], one of those cheap plastic ball massagers that you roll on someone's back, a little 'sexy' coupon book, a couple of his favorite DVDs, a CD mix of all of 'our' songs that we have memories from over the years [okay, that's a bit mushy but he likes stuff like that].. I'm probably not getting him every single one of those things, but I'm just making a list for now to see what I can choose from. So, what else do you guys think I should add? I appreciate answers from girls as well but I'd really love to get this from a guy's perspective - what's some nice 'guy stuff' that he'd love? I can give him plenty of cute little gifts showing my love, but for this gift I just want to give him something he'll really appreciate. Guys - don't hold back, what are more things I could put in the gift basket? Something maybe he wants but is too proud or shy to ever ask for? Or any suggestions on how to expand on the ideas I already have? Just throw whatever you want out here. I'm totally ears. =) Thanks! p.s. As far as budgets go, it's super flexible. What is a good arts&entertainment themed white elephant gift?
I'm taking part in a white elephant christmas exchange with my boyfriend's family. The limit is $30 and the presents should be gender neutral and must be Arts&Entertainment themed. Any ideas? I'd like to maybe do a basket or something instead of just buying 2 random DVD's and calling it a day.

One year, my husband wrapped up a 3 pack box of tennis balls. No one in the group wanted tennis balls and besides, it looked like a horrible gift. (no one we know even plays tennis). Once the game was over, and everyone was thrilled with their gifts, (except for the person who got stuck with the tennis balls), he showed them that he'd slit a small hole in each of the balls and put 10 dollars in each one. It's amazing at how money changes everything. They were thrilled and since then, everyone tries and figures out which gift is my husband's because he always gives money. Gifts are hard to pick out but money is something everyone likes. I hope this helps and I hope that you have fun. :)
