It's our 2nd year anniversary and we are still going strong! The first year we were together I go my partner a ring along with some other stuff. This year I don't know if I want to get jewlery again. I made a gift basket, got some stuff pet supplies (loves animals), but for the main gift I don't know what to do. My partner works a job they love but makes very little. I wanted to help out by giving a 250 check to start an IRA (Individual Retirement Account, for those who don't know). They could contribute to it monthly and it would obviously grow and grow. I know love isn't about money, so don't answer me back with all that love stuff, this would seriously help my partner out in the long run and I would like to know if you think it's a good anniversay gift? I mentioned I wanted to do it before and they didn't seem to decline. This is a gift not a charity, lol.

What would be in your ultimate gift basket?
Put yourself together a gift basket consisting of some of your favorite things. Please make it realistic.
--------------------
In my perfect gift basket I would love all sorts of candy packs like skittles and m&ms. I would love to have baked goods like muffins and would LOVE to have pumpkin scented candles inside. Cookies, books, videos, and even flowers would be wonderful. I have never received this kind of basket before but if I would I will scream with excitement for an hour.lol.

13 yr. old girl Christmas gift ideas?
I know people ask this question a lot, but I read some and I still don't have a good answer. What are some things that a 13 yr. old girl would want for Christmas? I already have a cell phone & an iPod. And I hate getting gift cards, b/c I hate spending money, so money's out too. I don't know why I don't like it, but I don't, I love shopping though. I've already asked for a digital camera & a gift basket from Bath & Body Works. I don't want any CD's, b/c 1.)I have iTunes and 2.)I don't really listen to music besides my iPod. I already have a Nintendo DS, and don't want a PSP, & we can't afford a Wii. My grandparents are going to redo mine & my sister's room [[we share a room]] for out present from them. I'm not that big on concerts, magizines, boooks, and my mom already has A LOT of nail stuff. What else can I ask for, all I can find is the digital camera & the gift basket. I know you may think I'm spoiled or w/e, but I've gotton all this stuff over years & from different ppl

Bridal Shower Gift Idea?
Hello All, I was invited to my BF's sister's bridal shower which is in a few weeks. I already ordered a frame for her with her and her hubby-to-be's name engraved on it but I think this may be too small a gift. I don't know what else to get her? I was thinking of making her a small gift basket. I know she likes candles (per her mom) but too many candles will make the basket too heavy and may damage it with the weight. :( Any ideas will be appreciated. I will really like to get some ideas from recent brides and brides to be. :) Thanks in advance, Brown Eyed Girl ;) BTW, I already have something to give her from her registry. I will take it to the reception because I don't want to arrive empty-handed.
--------------------
Well first I am thinking that the recertion is mainly for money! I've never went to a wedding where I seen a gift. Even if you give 50 if you're not with a date then thats good. I think the frame is great by itself. I would put maby some candels in the bag! Maby some wine tags or a bottle of wine. You dont want to spend much becasuse its you're sisters bff. You will be fine getting away with that you're giving. I would not bring the gift to the reception she does the registry for the shower!Good luck

If you got a gift you didn't like, would you tell the gift-giver that you don't like it?
What would you do? My mother in law usually tells me she doesn't like what I get for her, and sternly tells me it needs to be returned. Then she will pester me in the days following Xmas to see if I have returned her gift yet. This has made me question whether I should get her anything at all this year, I take offense to this behavior. I was taught to always be gracious and say 'thanks'! FYI, these gifts are very expensive items from high end stores, I'm really trying to get her something she'd like, not just some crappy gift. This year I decided to send mother and father in law a large gift basket full of goodies instead of trying to get them each a thoughtful gift. Am I being sensitive, or am I right to feel this is really rude of my mother in law?
--------------------
when i get something i dont like, i just give it to someone else next year, no big deal. you could always give her a gift certificate, that way you cant be wrong. yeah, you have the right to feel the way you do, this goes beyond insensitivity, it just being mean and disrespectful. if it were me, i would give her a dog turd in a box, then tell her if she didnt like it, she could return it.

How do I keep a NASA astronaut from stalking me?
I keep getting threatening emails that I am being watched from some nasa.gov email address. I get pictures of my house from space including infrared photos showing me. I thought I was watching a meteor shower but it seems to be localized to where I am at. I went out of town for a few days and found a used adult sized diaper sitting on my doorstep. My satellite dish only gets some wierd webcam of someone floating in no gravity on all channels. I keep getting gift baskets of Tang and toothpaste style food. Someone decorated a flower garden in my yard using real moon rocks. I opened my garage and found a stolen moon rover parked in it. It was supposed to be sunny skies but there is some kind of space shuttle shaped shadow continously over my house. I received a bouquet of flowers not indeginous to earth.

Need creative birthday gift for boyfriend?
I already know that I'm getting my boyfriend a digital camera for his birthday this summer, but I also want to get something really creative and surprising. Nothing sexual! I was thinking one of those Edible Arrangements fruit baskets but the problem is they are very expensive and most of them have chocolate and he doesn't eat chocolate. I'm not really interested in a scrap book or picture frame, not that kind of creative. Any ideas out there? Thanks!

Holiday Help!! Question about Diwali gift.....?
ok, I need to know if I am doing this right. I have an Indonesians for a boss and I want to give him and her a gift for the Diwali holiday today. I made a gift basket with candles, incense, candy, a candle snuffer and a large bag of roasted pistachio nuts. Would this be a good gift to give them?? Do you think I should not give them something I listed above? Do you have any better ideas to put in the basket or is this a holiday where you do not give gifts?? Please help me if you know what to do....I will give ten points to the person who can help me out the most. Thank you!!!
--------------------
The gifts are adequate. You can add something sweet - like chocolates etc. to the basket as Diwali without sweets seems very incomplete. If your Boss is a diabetic - though I hope he is not - you could add sugar free chocolates.

For practical mothers, a gift for the home is ideal but I am not referring to your ordinary kitchen utensil or cutlery. Be a little different with your home gift ideas. Gifts such as Mood Glow Candles are interesting and different. Another unique gift is the award winning Sun Jar. This is a jar that collects sunlight by day and glows by night. It is truly an eco-friendly product that recharges from sunlight - the perfect gift to brighten up your mother's day. Ok, for something more down to earth, home decor items such as candles and vases need not be ordinary. Contemporary mango wood candle holders and vases made in Thailand can be both stylish and interesting. For busy mothers, perhaps something to help her relax and de-stress would be welcomed. Bath pearls that change colors can add a touch of spa therapy and create a total relaxing atmosphere in the bathroom. Aromatherapy gift sets are also popular, especially ones with therapeutic relaxing ingredients. Last but not least in this category is a gift that needs to be tried to be appreciated. It is the highly effective Head Trip Therapeutic Massager. It is specifically designed to stimulate your nerve endings and massage acupressure points on your scalp, temples and neck, sending you to total relaxation. Personalized gifts have grown very popular over the years. There is nothing more personal and unique than a personalized newspaper headline gift. You create your own headline which is then printed by hand onto authentic newsprint. It is created to look like the front page of a newspaper. You can make the headline as original, funny or serious as you like. On the subject of funny gifts one can choose from a vast array of gifts from gadgets to toys. Popular wind up toys such as the Racing Grannies and Boxing Grannies are one of my favorites. These wind ups are extremely hilarious and make a great novelty gift for mothers and grandmothers who appreciate the humor

I would like to make similar frosted cookies to give as gifts to friends and families. But I don't want to pay $80 for a dozen of these cookies at these popular cookie boutiques. What is a good X mas gift for my 11 year old friend Heather?
Well I am thinkning about going to the dollar store and buying some lotions and stuff like that and putting together a little basket but im not sure. Any other ideas under 10 to 20 bucks?
--------------------
That sounds great. My daughter, Heather, just turned 12 and she loves stuff like that. She is into fashion. My daughter loves makeup, clothes, and styling her hair. I think your idea would be great. I don't think there is anything wrong with going to the dollar store for a gift. There are some nice quality items at dollar stores. Walmart will cost a lot more. At a dollar store, you can get a lot more for your money.

What should I get for my best friend?
Only 10 days till christmas and I'm stumped. Its not an emergency but I could use some help. 1. She is 13. And a tomboy, with a great arm for football, so no cutesy stuff. 2. I have $20 to spend. 3.No gift baskets. Gift baskets are cheap. 4. No makeup or clothes 5. I also live in Hawaii so I'm limited on places to buy. So no Target, or Trader Joes, etc.
--------------------
What music groups and artists does she like? Perhaps the latest CD of a popular artist (one she doesn't already have). Some t-shirts to go with her clothes. I have seen some nice ones at stores like Aeropostale (sp?) and the GAP. A few tees could cost about $20. Maybe a tee from her favorite football team? I know you said no clothes.... Any computer games perhaps? There may be some on sports or something else that may fall in her hobbies.

A question for Nurses...gift?
I'm going to be checking into the hospital soon and I'd like to take a gift basket to the nurses. Last time I filled it with $3 items from Bath & Body Works, like moisturizer and hand sanitizer. I put a bunch of these small items in a basket in my room and asked each nurse/staff member who came in to take one. They seemed to really like it, and it helped me establish relationships with my caregivers. Can you tell me what you'd like to see in a gift basket? The items have to be inexpensive, so I can get enough for everyone working different shifts. Also, I won't be able to eat at first, so I don't want to put food or candy in the basket. That would make me crazy! Thanks for your help!
--------------------
How wonderful you are! That means so much that you would want to show your appreciation to the nurses. I love that. I'm sorry that you are going into the hospital. I hope you have a complication free recovery! Well, bath and body stuff never hurts every time - lotion, hand sanitizer, hot chocolate mix, tea bags, lip balm, ink pens, stickers, gum/mints (if you can handle that), Inspirational cards - the little cards you find that have quotes, bible verses on them......you can get them at Christian book stores, book markers, etc. Nurses do their job because they love what they do, but patients like you help us through the hard times. We usually get complaining patients that we can't make happy. I think you are great. All the best to you!

Baby Shower Gift- Need Ideas!?
I'm putting together a gift basket for my friend's baby shower, and I'd like to go with a 'food' theme-- lots of things she needs to feed her newborn/baby/toddler. I'm going to get stuff off her registry, like the boppy, placement, bibs, sippy cups, bottles, spoons, etc, but do you have any ideas of how I can creatively package this gift? Just a big basket? I like to make the container that I package my gifts in something useful as well. If you have any ideas of what might look cute in a basket like this, please let me know. I was thinking of including some jars of baby food, etc.
--------------------
If you are going with a 'food' type of theme, why not put it in a picnic basket? Get a little checked blanket (blue for boy pink for girl) just like the red ones you see at picnics and stuff. And fill it with all the registry stuff and food items. She would think it was adorable! I would love that for my newborn!
