I'm looking for a song or songs related to business's. Personally I have a gift shop. I have a variety of items from Diaper Cakes/ Gift Basket's and so forth. With the website I am using to promote my small business at the moment I have found a bland not so interesting page. What's a good graduation gift for my older brother?

-100 dollar limit - thinking of possibly putting a bunch of things in a laundry basket - want him to know i spent a lot of time on it -im his 16 year old sister -hes going to marquette

Make him a photo book with photos in chronological order that goes from his first day of school to his last day of school. Fill it up with pictures from sports events, dances, plays, science fairs, friend hang outs and all types of other events that occurred while he was in school. It will take a bit of time to put together but will come out really nice and provide a good way to remember the past. If you go to http://www.smilebooksonline.com and use coupon code P20SBV you can save 20% so you won't need to reach more then $100.

Do you use a spay bottle during SEX time?

My husband and I use a spay mist bottle to make our KY jelly extra slippery. Do other couples do that too? I'm asking becasue I want to put together a gift basket for friends of mine who are virgins and are getting married and I want to include Massage oil, KY jelly, a spray bottle along with other things. SO I'm asking other couples if you use a spray bottle or not. PLEASE tell me if you use one or not. Thanks!
--------------------
It's never ocurred to me to use a spray bottle, but I can see the applications. Personally I would give a new couple KY Liquid instead of the jelly. The jelly is a little thick and could be harder to master getting the right amount for the inexperienced. Liquid is a bit more like natural lubrication. You might want to find out just how much experience this couple has with adult products. If they're using condoms as a birth control, you want to make sure they understand not to use oil based products (like a massage oil) as a lubricant etc. So presenting your basket might be a good opportunity to sneak in a little education. Back to the spray bottle, you might want to try out Silicone lubricants. These are condom safe, and ULTRA slippery. They also re-wet with just a little water if they dry out durring use. The only downside is that they aren't safe for use on silicone toys. But if you want a lube that's as slippery as it gets, try one out.

How does someone start their own small business online?

I want to start a small business selling gift bags and baskets online and I was wondering how to get started on something like that. Please answer soon. All answers are greatly appreciated :)
--------------------
The most obvious answer and best place to start is to create a website so that you have an online presence. You should be sure to showcase your work on your site, and make sure that it is easy to find in search results. I would also recommend a website hosting service that lets you accept credit cards and other forms of online payments. You can find all these benefits with Office Live Small Business from Microsoft. This is a free service that lets you make your own professional looking website and host it on their servers for free for the first year. Take a look at the site and dig around to get a feel for all the features, and be sure to check out the gallery so that you can see real functioning websites that use the service. Good luck with your business! Jeff MSFT Office Live Outreach http://smallbusiness.officelive.com/en-u…

She's 13. I'm friends with this girl but not best friends so I don't wanna get her an expensive present. I hate giving gift cards cause the school i go to is filled with rich kids who give expensive gift cards and I cant do that. i don't like people knowing how much I spent on their present. She loves chocolate so I was thinking maybe I could make a gift basket of chocolates and fudge and stuff. is this an appropriate idea for this sorta thing/ any other ideas would be great

Christmas gift for an almost teen? Good or bad idea?

My little cousin is almost thirteen, and she won't tell me what she wants for Christmas. Even though it was just around two years ago I can't figure out was a thirteen-year-old would want. I was thinking about buying her a large purse or tote and placing large boxes/baskets of possible gifts. Like new and old shirts, lipglosses, eyeliner, eyeshadows, shower gels, soap, body sprays, jewelery, and then a box for misc. stuff. I also want to splurge on a good eyeshadow set for her when I go away next week. Would that be a good idea or no?

Closing escrow, what should we, the buyers, get our realtor as a thank you present?

Hi! We're a young couple (Early twenties), and we we're really grateful for finding the agent we found! She has taken such good care of us and we want to show our gratitude! We're thinking, maybe making her a gift basket, adding gift cards, and little things, but we're not sure. We were just hoping some of you guys would have some awesome ideas for us!!! Thank you for your help in advanced!
--------------------
The most valuable - and most appreciated - thing you can give an excellent realtor is a letter of reference/recommendation with your permission to use the letter and you as a recommendation for future prospective clients. Write a nice letter of appreciation, print it on your personal letterhead (you can design a personal letterhead on your 'puter) on good quality business paper (you can get good paper at Staples, etc), such as ivory paper with a laid finish. At the end of your letter state that "You have our permission to use this testimonial or have prospective clients call us for a reference." A well-written letter detailing what this person did for you & how much you appreciate it is worth tens of thousands of dollars in future income to the realtor. It may also help another young couple find a good realtor who helps make their dreams come true, too.

Gift for a male teacher?

I was in this guys class as a guest for a whole year, he really helped me out a lot, but never got paid for teaching me. I am leaving and I want to thank him, I am writing a long thank you letter and and I want to get him like a present. I was thinking like a gift basket but I don't know what kind. Any idea for a general gift??? He is a music conductor...??
--------------------
That is very thoughtful of you. Depending on how much you intend to spend you could buy him a CD in his favorite music style, sheet music to a favorite song, tickets to a concert, a new book on music or conducting, a first edition book on music or about a composer he likes, a gift certificate to a favorite music store, music-oriented cuff links or tie-tack or pocket square or tie (depending on what he wears), etc. If you have absolutely no idea what he wants, you could always get him a gift certificate to Amazon. They have a lot of music-oriented things there. You could even print a page of something that you were thinking of getting, include it with the gift card, and say that you had planned to get that but weren't sure if he already had it. That way, you show that you were thinking of a particular gift but you still give him some choice in the matter. Good luck!

Struggling with making a bow out of wire ribbon?

I am making gift baskets for the holidays and I'm in the final stages of the process. The baskets that I am using have side swing handles which has made it a bit more difficult to shrink wrap. I am also using some gold wire ribbon that is fairly wide to make bows for the basket handles. After watching countless tutorials my bows STILL keep turning out like a kid trying to tie their shoelace. What am I doing wrong? Have ANY suggestions? Please help!!!
--------------------
take the end of your ribbon and wrap it over your index finger, this should make a loop or circle. now holding the ribbon between your thumb and index finger (still wrapped) twist the ribbon and make a loop. You will continue this pattern until you have the number of loops that you want. You will then need to slip your wire through the very first loop that you made and making sure all of the other loops are also included, twist to hold. finish :) If this does not work for you, you can make small-large loops (the size will depend on the size of bow you would like to have) like and accordion tie the ribbon in the middle and fluff out.

What is a nice thing to do for injured soldiers @ Christmas?

Is there a place like Walter Reed Hospital or another care facility that will take gift baskets and cards for the soldiers?
--------------------
What a wonderful Idea! Bless you for thinking of it. I googled walter Reed and they can not longer accept gifts to wounded soilders. However you could look into a local veteran's hospital and contact them. They maybe able to have you or your group give gifts to theveteran's in their care. I know that other than personal hygiene products alot of the veterans appreciate gifts like lap blankets, books, games and phone cards or videos. Some of these veterans even have children and are not able to give them gifts (it can be depressing) offer to have each veteran make a list of one gift per child they would like to give to their children (set a price of $10-$20) or give them stockings filled with small items to give to thier children. Beleive me it will make their day to be able to give their own children something for christmas. Good Luck, and again, Bless you. If more people thought as you do, what a wonderful world we would have.

Does anyone know of any good stocking stuffer craft websites?

I am looking for websites for crafty stocking stuffers or for gift baskets. I have done all of my Christmas shopping but now I need some cute stocking stuffers. I will also be adding candies, trinkets, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
--------------------
"Christmas Stocking Stuffers Christmas Stocking Stuffers On A Budget As a child and an adult, I've always loved Christmas stockings. Many parents use them to keep children occupied until Christmas breakfast is over. Then, the big gifts are unwrapped. This gives relatives time to arrive to see the kids open their gifts! But, surprise! Adults love them, too, and sometimes we don't give adults the pleasure of a Christmas stocking. Here are some ideas for Christmas stocking stuffers on a budget. Stocking Stuffers On A Budget For Children Think of your child's interests and hobbies, and take into account his/her age. Snacks (popcorn balls, brownies), candy, party favors, love notes, promise notes (a trip to the park, an ice cream cone), felt pens, crayons, coloring books, small games, baseball cards, marbles, gum, magazines, jump rope, jacks, cars, balls, stamps and ink pad, water colors, and small toys make great stocking stuffers. Also consider items they need that you have to buy anyway for stocking stuffers, such as: funny vitamins, barrettes, nail clippers, toothbrush and small tube of toothpaste, comb, hair brush, samples of cosmetics or toiletries, pens, pencils, erasers, pencil sharpener, small pad of paper, cute socks, gloves, or a cap. Items from a thrift store or yard sale are great for small budgets, including: small stuffies (most can be washed in a washer), books, or toys. Stocking Stuffers On A Budget For Adults Toiletries are welcomed by adults, for example: razor blades or disposable razors, samples of deodorant or perfume, body powder, nail clippers, toothbrush, floss, mouthwash, breath fresheners, makeup, comb, eyeglass cleaners, small hair spray, hair gel, nail file, nail polish, vitamins, or pretty soaps. Useful items are also appreciated stocking stuffers such as: batteries, a key ring, shoe laces, a tape measure, pens, a small pad paper, a car air freshener, Post-Its, seeds to plant, a hose nozzle, needles, thread, paint brushes, a chamois, homemade crafts (a towel that hangs), a mouse pad, scissors, a pancake turner, corn on the cob holders, a whisk, an egg slicer, a timer, or toll booth change. Fun stocking stuffers on a budget include: nuts, snacks, candy, swizzle sticks, coffee, a love note, a gift note (wash the car for someone), a magazine, a gossip rag, mints, gum, a note leading to a container of fire starters (pine cones or twigs), a homemade tree ornament, small gift certificates, a CD or audio tape. Top off the stockings with a large candy cane or a giant, Hershey's kiss, and bright, curly ribbon. Your Christmas stocking stuffers on a budget will bring your loved ones joy and pleasure on Christmas Day!" http://www.my-christmas-stockings.com/ch…

--------------------
Ignore that answer that that person above or below me wrote, that's ridiculous and immature. You can put some deodorant, and things a guy would need, you can put candy and other sweets in there, and put some polo shirts or something nice looking in there as well. And include some things that he would like, ask him what he likes, and try to include that in your basket if it fits into your budget. Let me know how it goes.

Ideas for a gift basket for a knee surgery?

When I make my baskets for people in the hospital I usually like to stuff it with things that relate to the surgery. Example, my one friend had her wisdom teeth removed one of the things I put into it was jaw breakers. (I know very cruel, but funny) . My other friend was seeing double, so I stuffed it with all "double" themed merchandise like double stuffed oreos, double toothbrushes, double mint gum. Any ideas for a knee replacement? Waffle Weave Face Cloths make great gifts. They're made from organic material and come in packages for around $10. There is also a few really good spa gift packages that don't cost too much available at specialty green living websites.

making a Method cleaning products gift basket for a wedding- any suggestions?

my cousin is getting married and since i'm obsessed with Method products, i would like to make a gift basket to give them on their wedding day. they are buying a new house shortly after and what better way to celebrate than with a CLEAN house?! do you have any suggestions for what i should include? i'm thinking all surface cleaner, lil bowl blu, le scrub bathroom cleaner, and tub n tile bathroom cleaner. the only thing is that they are moving to florida, so it will be a warmer drive. do you think these products will last long enough for a 16 hour drive? this is why i'm avoiding including air fresheners and candles, etc.
--------------------
The cleaners will be fine in the heat. You are correct in staying away from candles ect. I would include the dishsoap and hand cleaner also.

Some of my bridesmaids gift ideas....tell me what you'd rather get?

- stuff from bath and body (was thinking gift baskets w/ lotions, lip balms, body sprays, and maybe throw in a little shower radio) - a spa gift certificate to use at various locations - clothing of some type - like nice pajamas from victoria secret or something - some sort of tote bag (without their names on it) - something more personalized like little jewelry boxes I'm not going to give jewelry or pictures. Wedding is around the corner and I need to narrow down some ideas quickly. I'd really like to give them a nice yet affordable gift.
--------------------
I would really love the tote bag with the pair of nice pajamas from VS in it. Victoria's Secret (I think) is having a sale...last year around this time, I bought really soft nightshirts for $11 each.

How to handle Christmas gift "snobs"?

My husband's maternal grandparents have very odd ideas of what is appropriate to give them for Christmas. They basically want cash or a gift card and they're very particular about the amount. My husband and I moved from Delaware to Alabama this June and are planning on driving up for Christmas as a surprise. He just graduated from college and we're trying to buy a house so money is a little tight now. We thus can't afford to give large sums of cash to everyone so I've decided to make presents for our parents and his grandparents. The only people I'm giving money to are his younger brothers and my younger sister. I'm VERY crafty and good at baking so I've decided to make little gift baskets filled with homemade Christmas ornaments, cookies, candy and other goodies. My husband is afraid that his grandmother is going to make a stink because we "didn't spend money on her". I was taught from a young age that a thoughtful homemade gift often times shows more love than one bought at a store. I also believe that Christmas means more than just expensive gifts and over the limit credit cards. If she says something to me, how should I respond? Any ideas?
--------------------
Hm... If she says something... you need to remind her of the spirit of christmas. Remind her that you made this with your own hands, instead of paying for children in China to make it with theirs. :o/

Please help me get ideas for a balloon store?

I am currently working on opening a balloon store. I don't want to do the fancy balloon sculptures just yet. I only want to sell balloons and make small decorations with them. I also want to sell greeting cards. What else would be nice to add. Gift baskets, candy hummmm I need help. There are no balloon shops around my town but just selling balloons and cards will look rather plain and boaring. Please help I know you guys and girls are smart on here, U have great minds....
--------------------
Make it a store people will LOVE coming into!!! People will come to you for balloons for parties and special events, so why not sell some party supplies as well?? Such as some pretty celophane gift bags, or the single color m&ms, baskets, little trinkets and maybe party favors??? Then they can get all of their shopping needs taken care of at your store instead of going to multiple ones. Also, why not do a monthly drawing and the person whose name is drawn gets $10 off their next purchase or gets 5 free balloons? Also, remember to keep your quality high and your prices low, because you will be competing with other stores like party city and party supermarket! Just some ideas, good luck!

Tis The Season to re-Gift?

What are you re-gifting this year? HAHA I am completely serious. We all do it in one way or another. I am making up hostess gift baskets for various parties and find that all I have to do is rummage around the liquor cabinet for a bottle of something...that someone gave me last year...Good stuff, just stuff I dont like. Also, I find that the better the party=better gift that I will give. Every year we go to the same ones and one in particular, I am sick of spening lots of $ on (I give nice/thoughtful gifts) Is it really cheesy to re-gift a bottle of Yellow tail wine (yuk) because someone gave it to me...I will never drink that junk. Do most people think of it as cheesy wine like I do - I'm not being a stuck up wine snob..it's just my opinion Also, the person I have in mind for this serves this at parties - so they obviously know how cheap it is. Best answer=10 point. Be honest about the regift thing too!!
--------------------
Ok, here's what I'm regifting...soaps, shampoos, lotions, coffee filterpacks, stationery and pens from motels I've stayed at throughout the year. Not only is that the cheapest and s#ittiest in regifting but I make it even better by using expensive gift wrap and bows. The look on peoples' faces as they open the gift is absolutely priceless! By the way, I must agree--Yellowtail wine tastes like a$$. You're better off giving someone a 40 of malt liquor--much better quality.

is this a "manly" gift? need suggestions?

i know its early but i have to start making my bfs valentines day gift because a few of the items are on sale and need to be paid for right now...my friends brother makes AMAZING professional gift baskets and offered to make me one free of charge... so this is what i have so far: 1. a bottle of red sox steak sauce 2. shot glass and pilsner glass (both have red sox logo on it) 3. a bag of official MLB peanuts 4. a candy jar with the red sox logo on it filled with red and blue m&ms 5. a 6 pack of his favorite beer 6. pub style mustard and a bag of pretzels 7. a card with 2 red sox tickets in it 8. a few red sox scratch tickets obviously its a red sox theme (we are both die hard fans) anything else small but festive that could go in there? especially guys anything YOU would like to see in a gift basket if u got one? hes a 21 year old college student by the way.. is this a good idea?
--------------------
Wow sounds awesome!! My husband would love that! Maybe you could throw in a Red Sox jersey or t-shirt for him to wear to the game, or a hat even. If you really wanna go all out try going online to their site and seeing if you can order anything signed by his fave player or anything cool like that. Also, throw in some homemade coupons for hot dogs and beer (as in you will buy his snacks at the game). OH and a big foam finger!! Happy early Valentines, I'm sure he will love that!

a gift for any basket?

I changed my domain to agiftforanybasket.com for my gift bsket company (obv. lol) and now my friend and bf are saying abasketrforanygift.com makes more sense and now I am all insecure about my company name. Does anyone on here think the one I chose sounds good, or should I see if I should have it changed? Thank you.

It's cheap enough to register BOTH - this way you can use either or both (and find out which one people respond better to) and you won't have to worry about a competitor taking the other name.

What should i get my boyfriend for valentines day?!?!?

Okay my Boyfriend is 21 and i have no idea what the heck to get him...i texted him earlier and he said he didnt want anything but then i finally got him to tell me he just wanted a simple hug and kiss so i got him a giant hershey kiss and idk what else to get to fill his gift basket?!?!?!
--------------------
They do make men's soaps and cologne's in small sizes. I'd give shaving balm also... or you could go get those love coupons at the drugstore and separate them.. good for a kiss, massage, special date, meal, or make your own... very easy. If you fill the basket with fluff, get those red hots and sprinkle them in there also, like confetti.

What should I get my Secret Santa?

We drew Secret Santa's at work this year just like every other year and my Secret Santa is a female 26 married with 3 little girls. Our limit is $25. I know her pretty well and know she likes Bacardi Rum and diet coke, she loves shopping, and she's not really into girly stuff like soaps and body lotion. Our work is pretty laid back about the alcohol so they wouldn't mind if I got some for her. Should I just try to make a gift basket out of some small bottles or something? Help please!!!
--------------------
Get one of those tiny stockings and stick a gift card to a store she likes and a tiny bottle of Bacardi in there...she'll love it!

What do I do with these ingredients?

I have a jar of Cu Hanh Phi (fried shallots) and a jar of Cu Toi Phi (fried garlic) that I received in a food gift basket from a friend...other than as a casserole topping, what can I create with them?
--------------------
They're Vietnamese, not Chinese. You can mix them into any Vietnamese dish you happen to be cooking, to add flavor, the way you'd add Worcestershire sauce or ketchup. The great classic Vietnamese dish is Ph?, basically a beef-noodle soup. It comes to the table as a gigantic bowl of beef broth (made with Vietnamese spices, like cinnamon and anise) and thick, chewy rice noodles. You customize the dish to your liking with bean sprouts, cilantro, lime, peppers, etc. Well if you made ph? at home, you could serve these, too. (It's pronounced "phuh", by the way, with a rising sound at the end. You get better service in Vietnamese restaurants if you ask for it that way.) They're also great mixed into spring roll fillings, along with fresh shrimp, rice noodles, and mushrooms. They add a huge burst of flavor. Even if you're not making Vietnamese food, you can add these in to things to give them hits of flavor and texture. Try sprinking it on salads, on top of beef stews, in scrambled eggs.

gift business?

i'm starting a home based gift business and i intend to make gift baskets, lotions and body wash, soap, and perhaps candles. what are some other things that would sell good and bring in business? (things that are not too difficult or expensive) and what kind of qualities would influence you to purchase things like these?
--------------------
My sister and I do craft shows and we do all the items you mentioned plus a few others. The first thing you have to realize,is that it is going to be expensive to start up. You are going to want high quality supplies because the high quality of the items you sell will be what makes you have return customers. Your return customers are very important. Word of mouth is excellent advertising. Research what items you want to make, and then research different supply companies. The next thing to do is to start making your products. Before you even consider selling them you have to test each item for yourself. You need to make sure the candles burn properly and give a good scent throw. You may have to change your wick sizes, your wax kind, and your scents many times. Same with bath and body products. You need to see how they will hold up over time. Does the lotion turn runny or discolor? These things are important to know long before you start selling your stuff. When we first started,we did only candles and had well over $1000 into it before we ever sold a candle. It's harder and more costly than you would think. Don't get discouraged though. After doing this for about a year,we were both able to quit our full time jobs to do our crafts full time. We joke now that we put in many more hours doing our crafts than we did a 40 hour a week job. We enjoy it though. If you have money for the initial investment and are willing to donate the time and effort to it,you can do very well.

Any ideas on what business i should take up?

Im 24 this year, female and a been working as a civil engineer since i graduated (11months ago). Im taking of doing my own business, starting small in the beginning and working from there as i need more money to start something bigger. I was thinking of doing online businesses, any ideas? I was thinking of selling wedding favors, or gift baskets or something like that.. Or should i sell clothes online? Please just fill me in with your ideas or advice. Thanks.
--------------------
ok, you should start a business in something you already are interested in, like pick a hobby and make a business out of it, and this way you already know something about that area. if you don't have a hobby, try something that you might have connections for. if you want to sell clothes, you'll have to compete with major clothing stores and that's really difficult. try something more crafty because major companies can't mimic that and wedding favors sounds exciting. make a couple products, try to find a wedding planner and convince them to combine your product with her/his business, this way you have a boost to the start of your business. Entrepreneurship is difficult at first, but worth the reward, so stick through it and don't give up, good luck :D

Any super ideas for crazy cool Christmas gifts?

I have a reputation to uphold as the best gift giver ever but no time this year (last year was custom hand picked foods from around the world tailored to the individuals tastes in gift baskets, took forever but totally worth it) Something kinda universal but unique would be awesome, any ideas please.
--------------------
Ooh that is an awesome idea and so sweet, with adopting every one a starving child! And it doesn't just have to be from Africa, you know. just saying. You seem so kind a thoughtful x) I have no ideas, I apologize. I'd do the idea you have know, or "adopt" everyone a puppy from the humane society(donate money each month to help a certain puppy). Everyone would get a picture of the puppy, a t-shirt, and a magazine subscription or something like that.(since you couldn't get them real puppies). Merry Christmas :)

I am wanting to get a grant to start a home based business. Can yahoo help me with that?

I am wanting to start a home business and was wondering if I can get help from yahoo. I am wanting to do gift baskets, invatons, picture taking and calenders. I need start up things like a new pc a new camera and sart up stuff. Can anyone help me?
--------------------
It is hard to find grants to start a business. Unlike the myths that some perpetuate, federal government and even private foundations hardly give grant money for a for-profit business. And yes, grants mean PAPERWORK - lots and lots of it, that is why a cottage industry of grant writers was born. Nonetheless, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit venture. Even SBA does NOT give out grants. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/expanding/grants.html "The U.S. Small Business Administration does not offer grants to start or expand small businesses, although it does offer a wide variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA does offer some grant programs, these are generally designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small business management, technical, or financial assistance. These grants generally support non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions, and state and local governments." Here is a listing of federal grants for small businesses. See if there is any available for individuals for starting a business -- THERE'S NONE. http://12.46.245.173/pls/portal30/CATALO… Most of the federal grants are given to specific target groups with specific requirements (e.g. minority business owners involved in transportation related contracts emanating from DOT - Grant#20.905 Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Short Term Lending Program Grants are also often given to non profit groups or organizations involved in training or other similar activities (grant 59.043 Women's Business Ownership Assistance that are given to those who will create women's business center that will train women entrepreneurs I suggest you read the following books to get ideas of how to finance your business: Financing Your Small Business http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1… Small Business Financing: How and Where To Get It http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0… Financing the Small Business: A Complete Guide to Obtaining Bank Loans and All Other Types of Financing http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1… The SBA Loan Book http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1… Angel Capital : How to Raise Early-Stage Private Equity Financing http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0… Financing Your Small Business (Barron's Business Library Series) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0… For private grants, you may want to check the Foundation Center's Foundation Grants for Individuals Online http://gtionline.fdncenter.org . It's a subscription based website ($9.95 per month) but their opening blurb only says that the database is ideal for "students, artists, academic researchers, libraries and financial aid offices." Entrepreneurs are apparently not one of them, so I take it they also don't have listings of private foundations who give grants to would-be entrepreneurs.

Baby gift basket ideas?

Ok my aunt is expecting too so i can relate. if i didn't know the sex of the baby i would use soft neutral colors like green or yellow for the blanket http://www.nursery-rooms.co.uk/images/Wi… (sorry i couldn't give you more variety to choose from, this is the only one i found) and dont forget the teddy bears, range them different in sizes and colours http://www.morethanagiftonline.co.uk/sof… oh and buy diapers and if you want to you can sew or crotche (sp, pronounced cra-shay) a little pillow for him/her to rest on and to cuddle with, and try to make up a little lulllaby then buy one of those recording gift cards and put the lullaby on it, dont forget about the parents too, to help them save money on baby necessity's buy them at least a 20 dollar gift card for a baby store conveniently close to their home so that the mom doesn't have to drive or walk too long to get there. hope this helps and tell them congrats 4 me.

Put the paper filter in the basket. Add 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds for every 2 cups of coffee you'll be making. Put the water in the reservoir. (use the pot) Switch it on.

Candle gift with poem for baby shower/bridal shower?

I recently went to bridal shower and the bride to be was given a gift of a huge basket with all these candles in different colors and a poem - the poem explained when and which to light each candle. I've asked the bride and she doesn't want to give up the secret. I heard there is one for a baby shower -- does anyone know either/both?
--------------------
A Basket of Candles For [insert Bride's name] A basket of candles that come in a pair In all different colors, for you two to share The white ones burn first They are wrapped in white lace To celebrate your first married night In your new chosen place. The green pair is taller, and also much thinner Burn with the first company, you have over for dinner. The dark blue candles are for after your first fight Use them to burn while making up all night. Pink candles set the mood and pave the way For your first married Valentine's Day. Now, when your first year of marriage is through The cream anniversary pair, will light for you two. Red candles aflame, both your futures are bright Celebrate promotions you've worked toward with all of your might. By this time we hope, maybe, just maybe You can light the purple ones, on the birth of your baby. And just when you thought you'd put these away Take the light blue ones out-for your fifth anniversary day. Now just one more pair left - for the big 2 5 The anniversary pair that will keep your love alive. Congratulations [insert Bride and Groom's names] On the start of your forever May the two of you always be happy together And burn these candles Just the way we said But please don't forget-blow them out before bed! If I can find the baby shower one I will post it... Hope this helps :0)

How to build an E- commerce website?

I need a website where I can sell my customized/personalized gift baskets. I don't want to sell on Ebay. I want something more classy and sophisticated. I need secure shopping for my customers, yet I want a site I can build for free or atleast really cheap. I have no website developing experience or knowledge so please explain all answers as clearly as possible. I need step by step instructions on how to go about getting started. I also need a web host, domain name site and I need a host that has great server service with minimum down time. Thanks.
--------------------
If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account. I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent. Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend… They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). Easy Christmas Baking That Transports Well?

Hi! I'm not much of a baker, (I'm a great cook though!) so I'm hoping you guys will be able to help. I'm making gift baskets for friends this year, and want to include some homemade baked goods. I'm looking for recipes for treats that taste great, are easy to make (not a bazillion ingredients and complicated processes), and store and transport well (they're going into tin cans, and I have to travel with them). Desserts, cookies and candies are all welcome!
--------------------
How about Christmas Wreaths? It's the same way you make rice crispy treats (only you use corn flakes instead of rice crispies). Then you add a couple of drops of green food coloring in the butter (3 T) / marshmallows (1 package of big marshmallow, 10 oz or 1 package of miniature <-- I find this easier) mixture. Then you mix that mixture into the corn flakes one and stir, covering all the corn flakes with the melted green mixture. Then you grab a ball and make it into the shape of an "o" like a wreath and lay it flat on a waxed cookie sheet pan to cool. Then add 3 red hots in a cluster together on the warm wreath (add it while warm to get them to stick and stay). These are incredibly good and keep well (if in tupperware or wrapped up in cling wrap), plus they look like you worked really hard when all it takes is about 20 minutes. Directions: Melt about 3 T of butter in a sauce pan (preferably non stick) on low heat. Then add in the marshmallows a couple at a time. Melt by using a silicone flat spoon to stir the mixture. (I like to use the miniature marshmallows because they melt faster in less time, so you won't burn the mixture). When this is almost complete, add in 10 drops of green food coloring (this is for the festive part). Then fill a larger bowl with 6 cups of corn flakes. Pour the butter/marshmallow mixture over the corn flakes and keep constantly stirring to cover the entire mixture of corn flakes with the green butter/marshmallow mixture. Cover a cookie sheet pan with wax paper. Take a ball (about the size of your palm) and make the "O" shape, creating a wreath. Lay it flat down on the wax paper. Add 3 Red Hots (type of candy) in a cluster on the wreath, while it's still warm so they can stick and stay. Let cool. Time: 20 minutes. Expenses: $9, if you have butter. Batch makes about 10 wreaths (I believe!) and can keep for a couple of days if sealed in an airtight tupperware (probably a day or so if wrapped in cling wrap). Best of luck - what a great friend you are!!!

Welcome Baskets?

How did you or are you arranging you welcome baskets for the guests who are staying over in a hotel? Did you use a gift bag or a basket? Also besides snacks what did you put in them
--------------------
I'm sorry I am not of much help, but just wanted to say what a cool idea that is. I had not even thought of that! Thanks for giving me agreat idea! That will be especially good for those with young children! Actually I have a couple ideas for you. 1) Coloring books for the kids, crayons, dollar store little toys? If the hotel has a pool and allows toys, beach balls etc. (deflate so could be taken with them). 2) bottled water (especially if the hotel has mini fridges as some like me like a cold drink as soon as they wake up or need it to take meds. 3)brochures of your fave attractions (free from the tourism booth) 4) A bottle of sparkling, non alcoholic champagne with plastice wine glasses (dollar store). 5) Make sure the snacks are nut free (many granola bars etc have nut free varieties). That's all I can think of now. Good luck and best wishes!

Where can I find online, grocery hampers for Christmas?

I am based in Australia, but wish to buy a hamper of groceries for some friends in TX, so preferably online. I don't want a gourmet gift basket of stuff they'll never use, much prefer everyday groceries, similar to the Chrisco ones we have over here :)

Try Safeway ( it is a american store), or Walmart.

Does anyone know if "Private Preserve" works and is safe for preserving wine?????

Okay all wine drinkers out there, my aunt is a big wine freak and i thought this would be a cute add on to a gift basket im making her but is it safe? and is it good? does it work?
--------------------
Save your money. There are numerous wine-related gadgets of dubious use. If your aunt is a big wine-freak and she is going to use this then she'll already have one. The purpose of this device is to keep left-over wine by pumping in inert gases into the bottle to replace oxygen with the aim of stopping the left-over wine going bad. First question is whether your aunt has left over wine that she want to keep. And if she does she'd be better off putting the cork back and putting the bottle in the fridge. I don't know any wine experts who use such a device. So what can you get for a wine -lover? Its difficult because we tend to already have what we want. Some ideas - A bottle of Champagne. No wine lover ever has too much Champagne. Riedel glasses. Riedel make superb wine glasses with many different shapes for each grape variety. And they are very thin and very fragile, so even if you get a glass shape she already has, it won;t matter. You cannot have to many Riedels since they break so often when being washed. They're pronounced 'reedel' and you can buy them on Amazon - see http://www.riedel.com My book of amusing and unusual wine labels :) - http://www.amazon.com/dp/1594740992?tag=…

Any cute ideas for a collective bridal shower gift from co-workers?

There are 5 girls and one is getting married (all the guys are getting her something nice from the regestry list) so the girls wanted to put some sort of a basket together. I have no idea what to do~ any suggestions?
--------------------
Your money will go further if you pool it. Perhaps you could put together a very fancy basket of victoria secret bath and beauty products. Use your cash to put a basket together containing fragrance, oils and powder. It's a classy gift and it's coordinated such that the scents can be layered.

Does Zaro's Bread Basket offer gift cards?

It's my co-worker's birthday, I have only known her for a few short weeks and she's always in need of coffee. We work right next to a Zaro's and I forgot to see if they do provide gift cards. I doubt they do but I guess I just want a second opinion.

how many of you had a very nice experience in the hospital where you gave birth?

the hospital's service was beyond my expectation. Everyone was so kind from the nurses to the housekeeping employees. I am sending a gift basket (fruits, chocolates, nuts, etc) to the staff on the floor to show them my appreciation of their outstanding service.
--------------------
me!! everyone was soooo nice. they were always coming by just to see if i wanted something to eat or drink, to ask if i needed pain meds. i NEVER had to call the nurse, they were always there before i even needed them! btw, i had an epidural and was induced and i LOVED my birth experience. the nurses were so supportive and made me feel like i was in control. they helped me move around since i couldnt move my legs and they made sure that i was always taken care of. EDIT: like alyssas mommy, my hospital also had a free kitchen for family/husbands/patients. they also ALWAYS gave 2 meals at meal time, 1 for mommy 1 for daddy/boyfriend/parent/whoever was staying with you. most hospitals dont feed your husband, so that was very nice! they also just renovated the hospital i delivered at so the rooms were VERY nice. hardwood floors, flat screen tvs, brand new couches and gliders, hardwood basinettes and beds. i delivered at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL

do you think it would be a good idea going around my reception with a basket picking up my wedding gift?

would it look rude to do that at my wedding or should i buy like does Cute wedding mailbox and put it on the front of the entrance where the table seating cards goes?
--------------------
That would be incredibly rude. People who don't bring gifts will feel awkward and you'll look greedy. You should definitely stick with the traditional gift table. The mailbox (on the gift table) is really cute idea! Congrats :-)

good presents for an amaaazing dance teacher?

my dance teacher is taking a break and won't tell us why, but we've heard it's for a really sad reason to do with her family. she has supported me so much and me and my friend are making a gift basket to say goodbye but we're not sure what to put in it. some dance symbols or other stuff? we love her so much and hate to say goodbye and want to give her something amazing :) any ideas? thankyou!
--------------------
Its really sweet of you do put something together like that and im sure that she'll love everything to do with it, purely because it shows the thought you've put in to it. Here are some things that you could do- Get her some good tickets to a professional dance show that you know she'd enjoy watching If she teaches ballet, get her a pair of pointe shoes, and all your class to sign them Group photo's of your class with her Get a note book and write down all the amazing memories you've had with her Get another note book, and each write a little message A CD of some of her favorite music, either that she likes dancing to, or some that you know she just likes. Make a video of going round everyone and asking them random questions about your dance teacher. like 'whats the most embarrassing thing ___ has ever done?" etc Little things you could put in to do with dance- Pointe shoe keyring http://www.dancedirect.com/uk/Products/A… Dance necklace http://www.dancedirect.com/uk/Products/A… or http://www.dancedirect.com/uk/Products/A… Funny t-shirts http://www.dancedirect.com/uk/Products/A… or http://www.dancedirect.com/uk/Products/A… or http://www.dancedirect.com/uk/Products/A… Things not related to dance. If you put in everything dancey, then it will give the impression that she is a dance teacher and nothing else. To show she is a friend and not just a teacher, put in a few things not related to dance. For example- find out her favorite food. If it is say chocolate, buy a few of the most luxary and posh chocolates you can find. (inless her favorite chocolate is cheap brands). Find out her favorite colour and get a few cnadles or something in that colour. Find out her favorite perfume. Things that are personal to her will show her you've really thought about it. Obviously it depends on your budget, but if you can get everyone the class to chip in then it will be really good. and you probably won't be doing it again so why not give her somethign really special. Hope this helps!

It's that time of the year, what do you get your bosses for Christmas. I have two weeks!?

In years past we have gotten them: Movie ticket packages, spa gift cards, gift cards to our local Arena(for concerts/sporting events), Harry & David gift baskets. They are both Doctors, have everything they want/need and can buy what they don't have. They are vegetarian, eat at favorite spots for free most nights, don't drink alcohol. We have allowed ourselves to spend $120.00 total.

How about a good "coffee table book" about some aspect of their medical specialty or some medical-themed desk figurine?

What's a fun/neat way to give this Xmas gift?

I bought a cruise for my boyfriend as an Xmas gift. I was a fun way to give it to him though, not just give him a few papers that says we're going on a cruise. On EBay I have purcased a little Southwest airplane, a plastic Princess Cruise ship, postcards from St. Thomas and a mug from St. Maarten. I don't want to arrange them in a basket, I want it to be a bit more challenging, like open one at a time but I don't just want a stack of gifts...what's a good/exciting way to have him open these items that will slowly start to get him mind working and trying to figure how these all tie together?
--------------------
I like the tresure-hunt idea. Can you write poetry at all? If you can, give him one of the small gifts wrapped, with a note tucked in saying, oh, I don't know, "To find your gift, you first must see/What I have hidden on the tree." Then you could hide trinket #2 in the Christmas tree branches. And so on, and so forth. If the rhyming clues are too much of a hassle, you could just put cryptic clues like "You'll find the next clue where we keep the paper clips" or similar. This sounds like a fabulous gift and a very lucky boyfriend. And my goodness, you have to have a pretty thin skin to get your tail in a knot about how to spell Christmas! Oh well. A very merry Xmas from me. :)

Are Gift Baskets actual today?

Hello! Can you, please, answer me whether Gift baskets are actual today? How often are they sold? And, also, have you ever wanted to buy a gift basket by yourself? Do people buy gift baskets only for holiday presents? Thank you for the answer.
--------------------
Look gift basket is not at all an old tradition. It actually all time admired tradition. But the fact is that you have to decide that what you want to give for a particular occasion. Think what you want to pour for a particular occasion is entirely depends on you. They are sold on a regular basis and I also gift my uncle and aunt on their marriage anniversary.

Idea's for a Spa Retreat and Eat Party?

My friends own an up and coming, successful Mobile Spa Party Unit. She is planning on hosting a His and Her's party. Its going to be held in December, and there is going to be a His Party, and a Hers Party. Of course Spa themed, but we are looking at what kind of vendors should she invite to the advent. She currently has chefs, and party planners signed up for the event. Any ideas what you would like to see. I was going to contribute products from my business in gift baskets as a raffle for the event.

Just a simple theme, maybe like Pamper yourself..........

i am without work right now and pay very high rent i find it hard to make ends meet are there any churches or organizations giving out baskets during the holidays to the needy families....
--------------------
What state are you in? I would have to know that before I could answer... My state (town) has several differant organizations helping people with ThanksGiving and Christmas. If I were you I would open up your yellow pages in your phone book and call EVERY church listed until you find the one's that are helping. You can also call your local Health Department and ask them of any services helping low income familes during the holidays, They may know of some. Good luck!!!

Useful baby showers gift ideas?

I am planning on putting a "basket" together, except instead of a basket, using a diaper bag. What are some things that the new momma will need, and get plenty of use out of?
--------------------
DO NOT!!! I REPEAT DO NOT give her newborn diapers! I was given sooo many and barely used any of them!!! I would also get her a travel wipes case, nursing apron if she's nursing, spit up rags, and a couple light weight receiving blankets. I'm trying to rack my brain for things that I have in my diaper bag, but that's about it! hats would be a good one too.

Is the "War" in Iraq the best recuting tool Al Qeda has ever had or could have hoped for?

Should Osama send Cheney a gift basket?
--------------------
Invading Iraq was not about terrorism or protecting America. If we had just concentrated on Afghanistan after 9/11 and not attacked Iraq, Al Quaeda would no longer exist. Instead the occupation of Iraq has increased their numbers to a viable force. Neocon ignorance has severely compromised America's security. The fools.

What is this so-called FARTLESS stuff?

I was looking around for gift baskets for the holidays and came across this site with some really wierd stuff. help with a wedding shower gift?

http://www.etsy.com/listing/50444684/cla… i bought this apron for my soon to be sister in law, but i want to add some more small gifts. i was thinking maybe some measuring cups and a cake pan with the apron or the apron a cook book and a cassarole dish or if you have any ideas. i am leaning towards the cake pan, because then i can add a cake mix and make it like a basket gift. most of the things on her registry are out of my budget range, but she did have a nice cake pan on there, as well as a nice cassarole dish. which would you rather have? i dont want to do a gift card.
--------------------
How about a cookbook with her favorite type of cuisine or maybe some romantic recipes since they are newlyweds. And maybe as a gag include a rolling pin, because every good wife should have one just in case her husband gets out of line. Just Joking... I would go with the first suggestion.

What do I get a couple for Christmas?

My bestfriend and her boyfriend bought me a mystery gift from The Buckle. I am going to visit them next week, they live out of town, but I am still not sure what to buy them. I was thinking of something in around $75 dollars total for the both of them. A few ideas I have had are matching Cardigans from American Apparel or a gift basket with lotto scratch-offs and other things... I am open to any other ideas or suggestions!
--------------------
The best thing to get ANYONE is a gift card! And they have made it very easy, they have visa as well as American Express gift cards that they can use anywhere!! Let them pick their own gift, and it's better then giving cash! I could not think of a better gift!! Good Luck!! :o)
