You can never go wrong with delicious baked goodies, and fruit, and some nuts, or the like. You can go "sweet" or you can throw in some meat like salami. That is very thoughtful of you. I think he will appreciate your gesture.

Do people actually purchase gift basket filled with only candies and lollipop worth $150 ? What do you think? How much will you spend on such gift basket ? I'm not kidding, they actually sell for up to $300 !! No liquor and No Caviar !! No Fancy Basket either. Here's the link to ponder: http://www.dylanscandybar.com/jump.jsp?i
--------------------
That's ridiculous! $300! Maybe $25!

Horrible at giving gifts -- what do guys REALLY want?
My man isn't the traditional "guys" guy. He works in internet advertising. He's into movies, music, entertainment, likes "nice" things. Not that into sports or beer, but more meaningful gifts. He has all the latest electronics. He has a watch, has a wallet, briefcase, shaving set, clothes, etc. So....I'm stumped. For Valentine's day, I framed an article his business was featured in from a business journal. I'm going to make a gift basket and include lingerie, candy, massage oil; I'm also starting a scrapbook and thought about making a page dedicated to "us" and all the reasons why I love him. BUT he goes above and beyond every holiday; he gets me jewelry or does something really special. I feel like my gifts never measure up. Do you think this is a good idea? What do guys REALLY want? (Besides sex, I'm talking gift-wise)
--------------------
The lingerie and massage oil should cover it especially if you put them to good use. All the rest is window dressing. Lucky guy.

Need suggestions for chemotherapy "care package"?
A friend will soon be undergoing chemo, and I was wondering what things I could put in a gift basket type thing for him. I'm going to include a couple of weird wigs, some comedy DVD's....just need some more suggestions.....Thanks
--------------------
There are sites which offers "chemotherapy gift packages" like this one from Choose Hope Inc. where it consists of a tote bag with polar fleece blanket (for treatment sessions), a book entitled "I'd Rather Do Chemo Than Clean Out the Garage" , stylish cap, a tin of Queasy Drops and a water bottle. Anything that would take your friend's mind off the hardships and discomfort during treatment will be good.

Price for foods/ objects?
How much for each of these objects/ foods? 1 popcorn can of planters peanuts 1 magazine (Arizona Highways) candy (m&m's, chocolate, whatever) 1 candle 1 bag of tea 1 lotion jar of olives 1 red bull or coke This would possibly be in a gift basket for someone that I am making, thats why I'm asking. It doesn't have to be correct, just an estimate is fine. I'm just wondering. Thanks!!!

need ideas? (10 points best answer)?
I am making a gift basket for my mom for Christmas. In it there's this small photo album. I want to use the photo album to make a story :) But I don't know what the story should be about? Once again remember it's a small cute short story I want for (and about) my mom. What should I do it of? Best story line gets 10 points :)
--------------------
The story should have a Christmas or winter theme. Here are some ideas: Eveyone is in the house, preparing for Christmas (putting up the tree and decorating it, wrapping gifts, etc.) It is all warm and cozy. Then it starts to snow, and everyone goes outside to enjoy the snow- snowman, snowball fights, for example. Just use photos from last winter. Another idea is that you could make a story that counts down to Christmas day. Pick a date you want to start on (maybe December first?) and from that day on, make one page each for each day until Christmas, and fill the pages with pictures of you Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts, decorating the tree, according to what you did that day. For December 25, leave it blank and take a photo of your mom getting the gift or a pic of the whole family together and put it in. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Teachers, will you help me?
I have a friend who is a techer and wanted to make her a school themed gift basket. What in your opinion is the best red correcting pens?
--------------------
I'm a teacher and I love getting teacher stuff - you know your friend best. Last Christmas I was given a bouquet of school supplies. She got some florist foam and some skewers. She used florist tape to attach pens, pencils, erasers, highlighters etc. to the skewers and stuck them into the foam like flowers. I loved it.

What should I buy him? He's the best...?
I've been with my fiance for 10 years, since we were 13 years old. He is the kindest, most hard-working guy ever. I don't have a ton of money but I wanted to throw together a gift basket to show I appreciate him, and just wanted some ideas to throw stuff in there. I was thinking a few scratch tickets, maybe a porno movie and a bottle of booze... What else you think would be good to throw in?
--------------------
his favorite candy a cap a cd a dvd a disposable camera two wine glasses sun shades a key ring t shirt boxers thongs (for you) a red plastic rose a stuffed animal nail kit gum razors shoe strings a candle socks peanuts You can even go to the dollar store and rack up. Sometimes it's not the cost. If you make him a great big basket with the clear paper and give him a card he will never forget it.

It sounds like you put a lot of thought and effort into it, and I think that's what attendants gifts should be. Something designed for each person, and something they'll use.

I need to buy some gifts from Charlotte NC, does anyone have suggestions on something original from there?
I am trying to put together welcome baskets for a convention and to keep the Global flare to it we are trying to get some gifts from certain cities. I need help with Charlotte NC, maybe a vineyard, food, keepsakes etc. I live in Chicago so I would need some guidance. Thank you very much!

perhaps something related to NASCAR racing, or NBA "Bobcats", or NFL "Panthers", or banking (with 2 large banks headquartered in Charlotte - Wachovia and Bank of America), the "Lance" cracker/snack company is headquartered in Charlotte too. The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, The Charlotte Oratorio Singers, The "Blumenthal" Performing Arts Center, and the "Discovery Place" science museum are special places too, and may perhaps be able to provide some trinket for your packet.

It has been a long hard battle for her and her family. I want to get her like a basket/gifts to i guess help her through it or something. I haven't had a loved one die and I am not sure what to put in it. I was thinking her favorite candy, magazine, nail polish...just fun stuff. Any ideas of what I should include?

What kind of christmas presents do kids get ?
From age 13-18 , umm i live in egypt , and we dnt really celebrate christmas , i mean we do , but not the presents thing , we just get a tree and decorate it and drink hot choco :P i just wanna know : do kids get very BIG gifts like an imac or an iphone or like a pc or do they get stuff simple like a basket ball , a jacket , or like a toy Thanks for who ever answers ;)
--------------------
It depends on the family and their financial situation. In my experience, though, kids usually get one main gift (an ipod, camera, laptop, etc), and other smaller gifts (books, clothes, other less expensive things). But, like I said, it depends on the family, and each one is different!

my friend's mother is about to die/is going to die VERY soon.?
what could i get him (teenager) and his dad as gift other then our time and compassion. mabey like a gift basket. what could it include? HELP!
--------------------
Instead of a gift basket how about going and cleaning the house for them or taking younger siblings out for the day to allow them to do what needs to be done. Fix a meal and have it ready so all they have to do is heat it up in the oven. The best gift I got when my dad died was a poem a friend had written and had framed with a picture of me and dad together.

Pregnant Women's Care Basket?
Heres the deal: My boyfriends bestfriend is pregnant. But she is giving the baby to her mother's landlord, since the landlord can't have children. Now the pregnant mother and I have never quite seen eye to eye as she thinks I'm not the best girlfriend in the world (and im probably not),but I thought I would take the high road, and make up a basket of gift's for her.But no baby things, since shes not keeping the baby. Other than stretch mark lotion, what kind of things could i put in this little gift basket for her? (I was thinking condoms kind of as a "haha" gift.Is that appropriate?)
--------------------
I would concentrate on things like bath beads to take a nice warm bath and scented candles and other girly things you'd like to get. If it won't include things pertaining to a baby then just make it a relaxation basket :) Alo if she doesn't care for you then she won't get the joke so I woun't bother trying anything that may come across the wrong way ie the condoms :)

Exchange gifts! yuk!! Need your opinion and ideas fast...?
I dont like the whole exchange thing---but for a bunch of reasons I said yes to three parties this year. The first is ladies I play cards with. I know these women the best. I have a choice right now between two gifts: 1) is practical; its a gift basket with a bottle of wine, coasters and two bottle stoppers (corks) with a cards theme. 2) is season, get the yankee candle with the xmas topper and be done. Which is the better gift? Or do you have a better idea. Idea 1 seems corny and 2 seems lame. The next part of my dilemna is two parties where I dont know anyone that will be receiving the gifts (which is admittedly easier). We were told to buy something for someone in our own age/gender category. One is a $15 gift and the other a $20 gift. I am thinking gift cards and an ornament....better ideas? Why do people do this to each other? I would be so much happier just getting together for a few laughs and some egg nog. bah humbug.... and thanks for your help....
--------------------
Personally, I think #1 sounds like a better gift. As for the others, I don't know your gender or age group, but you could bake some cookies, or something from Target or whatever. A gift card is pretty unoriginal. But then again, people always love money!

If your girlfriend (of 2 yrs) were to do a gift basket for you for Valentines day, what would you want to be in it? I just want to get an overall idea of what is and isnt too cheesy. Thanks!!!!

This sounds like the porno site so far. A gift certificate to take you out and have fun on the town. A nice dinner and show or place to kick your heels out lol. Also your favorite and his cologne, after shave, body wash to smell good period. (suggestion to add or main items in it. Like any thing else if the gift cert is not the plan) A dvd or game which he doesn't have but wants. (mix that with the smell goods) A lot of ideas but the sex can be the finish later without the suggestions by the rest on here. The mood hopefully will be nice......(romantic)
