Where to buy gift baskets?

Is there a place where I can buy empty gift baskets? I want to make gift baskets with wine and liquor for my liquor store for the holiday season and can't seem to find any empty ones online and all the ones I find are like $20 a piece. Can anyone help me? I need a lot so anyone know where I can buy them in bulk?

What's a good way to package gift baskets (wrapped in shrink wrap)?

for shipping? I want to avoid any shifting of the contents and squishing of the package. Packing Peanuts ?
--------------------
Packing peanuts will work. Also the air pillow packing will work too. You should talk to a box company and see if they have a box already made for gift baskets or check S. Walter Corp @ www.swalter.com. They are packing specialists.

what are some things to put in gift baskets?

I know of candles and candle holders...stuffed animals...but not quite sure about what else...Ideas anyone?
--------------------
You can use almost anything depending on who you're giving the basket to. A garden theme: flower seeds, small garden tools, gardening gloves: put all these in a small decorated flower pot A stationery theme: writing paper, stamps, note cards, envelopes, pens, address book Different types of coffee and hot chocolate with mugs, cinnamon sticks, marshmallows Bath basket: soaps, hand towel and wash cloth, lotions

I'm trying to make idividual gift baskets for the different members of my family. Any one got any ideas?

I'm a student so they have to be fairly inexpensive. And I have a large range of ages, from 6-66, to buy for.
--------------------
Take a family picture at Thanksgiving or several. These could be posed or even more fun, candids. Either buy some inexpensive frames and decorate them or personalize them or make your own frames. This way, everyone's is a little different, yet still alike enough that you will feel that they all have an equal gift. You could also through in some cookies.

cheap gift baskets:any good idea to make cheap gift baskets?

im interested to make gift baskets but in low budget..so anyone can show me how to make cheap gift baskets?
--------------------
You can make your own baskets from play dough of regular dough which I am including a recipe for. There are also 2 links for baskets and the rest is information you may want to read before you decide or if you will make your own. I think this is the cheapest way for you to go and the only expense you will have to go for is a sealant . Hope this helps you. http://www.craftown.com/instruction/doug… http://www.crayola.com/crafts/detail/rol… http://familyfun.go.com/crafts/pinch-pot… Tools: You will need a couple of simple tools for your sculpting. Choose duller tools if using foam compound. You can use pretty much anything to make indentations. Pencils, screwdrivers, scissors, pins, and picks make great eyes, holes, and patterns on your dough. make sure you put the indentations in your sculptures BEFORE they are dry, or your sculptures or figures will crack. If you are making a large amount of identical figures, you may choose to use a mold. make sure, if you are using a foam compound, that the mold is smooth, metal or hard plastic, and you trim your seams BEFORE drying. Painting: For your dough, you can use ANY oilbased paint, and a few of the waterbased paints as well, as long as you put many coats on your work. For fast drying, smooth looks, use several thin layers of paint intstead of one thick layer. You can also use glitter paint, or if you want a dust of glitter, use powder glitter on top of your paint, without smearing it in. Sealing: For figures that you are going to be using on paper or cardstock, choose a papersafe sealant, such as MOD PODGE. it is a shiny glossy smooth sealant, and will make your figures dry hard. For other figures, ModPodge will work well too, but you can also use an acrylic sealer. use ONLY one brush and ONE pallete for your sealant, and use only ONE coat of it. too many coats will make peeling a good possibility, and that will ruin your finished product.

Can you give me an idea for gift baskets?

what to put in them and also I'd like to have some cool ideas for filler, not just fancy paper. Useful filler would be neat. I'd like to make baskets for people on my list for Christmas. Thank you, I'm sure all suggestions would be used!!
--------------------
I love giving gift baskets!! Depending on the basket, fillers can be table cloths, napkins, towels, gloves and mittens, a scarf etc. If you want something "fluffy" try curling strips of colorful curling ribbon. Gift Ideas: Movie buff: DVD's, popcorn, movie tickets, boxed candies. Newly Weds: Wine, wine glasses, candles, table cloth, romantic cd, cheese and crackers Reader: Book marks, mini book light, books or book store gift certificate, journal. Knitter: Knitting magazine, needle case, pretty yarns Sports fan: Sweatshirt or t-shirt with their favorite team logo, coffee or beer mugs with team logo. Tickets to a game. Person who has everything: Food basket with all the junk food they like. Candy, nuts, sausage and cheese, smoked oysters, olives. The possibilities are endless.

My MOPS group is making gift baskets for the elderly. I signed up to make one for a man. Any ideas?

We are taking them to an assisted living center. These people have their own apartments. They are able to take care of themselves with a little assistance. Any ideas?
--------------------
socks, small bottle of after shave, stationary, home baked treats if he isn't diabetic,Chex mix if he is,fresh fruit, Comb, Kleenex, Large print puzzle books, Large print playing cards, Hankies, depends on how much money your group has, flannel shirt, slippers, sweatshirt. Older folks are usually cold, and like these items. You are doing a wonderfull thing. I work in a nursing home and the folks there appreciate even a kleenex box wrapped up.

Looking to purchase wicker baskets(gift baskets)?

looking to purchase giftbaskets w/o products at wholesale prices. either online or in the Michigan area for homebased Candle and gift basket business
--------------------
Go to your local St Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army, Goodwill etc. They usually have tons of them. Scout garge sales in the summer too. People get floral arrangements, gift baskets etc and never know what to do with the baskets afterwards. It would be a good start anyways depending on how many you need.

If I purchase items and package in gift baskets, am I breaking any laws, do I need permission ?

I am thinking about starting a small ebusiness. Do I need permission to use existing products: Milk-bone dog biscuits, for example do I need to contact manufacturer? Additionally, should I enclose a disclaimer to protect me from liability if someone burns down their house by using candles packaged in basket improperly...something along the lines of "Please read and follow manufacturers labeling, (My business name) can not be held liable for failure to do so." Thanks!
--------------------
No, you are not breaking any laws by doing that. Just make sure that in your description you list the items that are in it...ex. Milkbone Dog Biskits. As far as the candles...make sure that you package them properly and you won't be responsible if their house burns down (include all warnings). The bad part about your own business is that even if you include a label saying your company can not be held liable for things...it won't hold up in court unless the person has signed a paper agreeing to it (which isn't likely to happen seeing as the basket would more than likely be for someone other than the person who bought it). I suggest you contact a small business lawyer before opening your business to make sure you have done everything on your part that you can to protect your business. Good Luck.

What all should I put in these two gift baskets?

ONE: Movie night basket for my boyfriend and I TWO: Relaxation basket for my mom
--------------------
For the first basket: Popcorn, movies, candy/chocolate, peanuts and your preferred drink. Instead of putting it all in an actual basket, maybe put everything inside of a giant popcorn container. Examples; http://www.findgift.com/Categories/Gift-… For the second basket: Herbal soaps, body wash, lotions, bath sponge/loofah sponge, bath salt/bath soak, bubble bath, candles or maybe a few chocolates.

Wine/Spirits/Mixers advice- I have to make gift baskets for fundraiser-I have to make list of alcohol---?

I need to post a list of wines and spirits to make these any advice?
--------------------
It really depends on how much you want to spend on the gift baskets. If you are shooting for a fairly modest priced basket that can sell for $50.00 USD or less, I'd suggest you include a medium priced ($10.00 - 20.00 USD) bottle of wine, Chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, or a burgundy, a couple of wine glasses, a package of good quality crackers and a vacuum sealed piece of cheese and a corkscrew.
