Ideas for Christmas gift for co workers...?

i work at a restaurant, last year I filled a basket with post-its, pens, mints, snacks, nylons, etc. It was a very practical emergency kit. Everyone loved it. They've been using it all year. i'd like to do something again for them. There's about 5 women & 5 men (host, management) I could have the girls covered (pins, earrings, etc) but what about the guys? Any other suggestions?

Coffee cups and fill them. Men are a little harder. You can personalize the cups and fill them with a favorite small candy. M & M's have a web site you can print your own m&ms. You can also stick post-its and pens in the cups with the candy.

christmas gift ideas?

my sister is going off and getting her 1st apartment. i wanted to make a basket with handy things she might need like tide to go, cotton balls, shampoo & conditioner. i was thinking to be extra creative and put it all in a hamper but thats too big. what other creative things can i put everything in an what else should i add to it?

the best thing is a small basket or medium size so that you can fill it but its not to overly big that you have to buy a million things.....the shampoo's and things sound nice, you should get her things that don't just pertain to the bathroom though...like a cute set of kitchen towels from wal mart or kohls rather inexpensive....then get her a nice candle or two a pair of slippers a book by an author she likes, and maybe some fun kitchen utensils....and then a picture of you and her in a simple yet classy frame....all in all if you look around for the right things this will maybe cost you 40 or 50 dollars but its a nice simple gift that your sister will love...=] good luck and merry christmas p.s. and to wrap it just tie a nic red bow around it

packaging for valentines day presents?

i'm getting my man's present from the internet. it's going to be delivered to my mom's house, so i can go get it and keep it in my car and out of his way. but i was wondering how to present this present to him? it's all stuff he needs, and last night i asked him his favorite candies. he said "atomic fireballs, tootsie rolls, swedish fish" should i incorporate that? i really don't want to give him his gift via basket. help?

What is the difference how it is wrapped? Decorate the basket, or whatever in a manly type ribbon, bow, paper, or whatever. Paper could be with snow mobilling on it or ice fishing or anything that men do this time of year. Just don't let it get to be to femmy or sappy. Keep it simple but nice.

I do not know about Ohio, but some states require a gaming ( or gambling ) license to conduct public raffles , does not matter if you are a 501C3 or regular for-profit organization. Best to check with your state government.

What are things a teenage girl get's her boyfriend?

Me and my husband are not getting each other gifts this year (baby on the way) but I wanted to do something small and inexpensive...I was thinking of putting together a basket of things a teenage girl would get her boyfriend...like the funny overly romantic things...the only thing I can think of is a mix cd (covered with doodles of course) but what else could I get him? I would like to keep it cheap but some things that would make him laugh and feel like I got him something. :) Thanks!!

1. get a picture of you and then add a quote like "all i want for christmas is you" and then print it out on card stock and cut out pieces so that it'll be a customized puzzle. 2. make him a book of notes, like one per day for the next month. 3.decorate a picture frame with your picture in it. 4. some of his favorite candies. 5.yea obviously a mix cd. 6. a scrapbook. 7. so i learned how to make this origami box in a class but it's really cute a little challenging but he'll like it and you can use paper that is either christmasy or reminds you of him... here's a video that shows how to make it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCyMdaeFB… it's a little difficult but they turn out nice. 8. an ornament for the tree. 9. a coupon book for stuff he likes like back rubs and what ever else.. maybe like he gets the remote or can pick the movie. they could be dirty or not. or both 10.make the basket too!!

I am putting together a holiday basket for a family in need. The children are an 8th grade male and an 11th grade female. That is really all I know about them. very nice of you to do this :) I'd go with some nail stuff for the girl. maybe some bubble bath, socks, gloves, basic makeup - lipgloss, mascara - i wouldnt buy lipsticks because you never know what she wears, a magazine for the boy - some socks, a winter hat/gloves, a small lego or bionicle set for like $10, a magazine for him too i'd throw in a few chocolate bars too - nice little sweet treat

Gift for a 2nd time new mommy...?

My girlfriend is coming home from the hospital on Friday from a planned c-section of her 2nd girl. She's more than ready to have me come over on Friday evening and I was thinking of what to bring. I know she LOVES sangria and dark chocolate and was thinking a little basket containing these might be nice, along with some flowers from the garden. She will NOT be breastfeeding. Thoughts, Ideas?

Skip bubble bath stuff, she can't have a bath right after having a c-section! I would also throw in the offer to help her with housework. She won't be able to lift more than 10 lbs for many weeks and can't vacuum so she will want some help!

What I did for my best friend was fill up a basket for her. What THINGS comfort you in the winter?

I have decided to assemble Christmas gifts for my/my husband's coworkers. So far I am putting in 2 packets of really good cocoa, a pack of popcorn and possibly a mug or basket depending on the ideas I come up with in the next two weeks.....any other suggestions? What THINGS (not people, or places) do you find comfort in in the winter months?

What is the etiquette for receiving food gifts?

My mother-in-law flew in for my daughter's birthday. She always likes to have snacks at hotels, so as a welcoming gift, I baked her a challah (braided egg bread) and gave it to her as we picked her up at the airport. She seemed very happy to get it ("Oh! You made me a challah!") and I felt really good about it. The next day, after the party, she said "I'm going to shellac the challah you made me and put it in one of my baskets." Thinking she was teasing, I said "I made it to be eaten!" with a smile. Then she said "But we didn't wrap it up, and it's too hard to eat!" (It was crusty, like Italian bread, when I took it out of the oven.) I was mortified, and somewhat offended. I was always taught that if you didn't like a gift of food, and you're not actually allergic to it, you dispose of it discreetly.

How do I deal with this?

My kids got a nice gift from proflowers.com that had cookies and fruit in basket, but I am REALLY offended because it included tea biscuits imported from Israel. That is about as appetizing as just sending me a bloody corpse in the mail. I do not buy or use ANY products from Israel if I can help it. What is the best way to voice my disapproval to proflowers.com? If I just call and just yell at some low level employee it probably won't make a difference. But seriously, tea biscuits are supposed to come from ENGLAND!

Well, you could always write directly to the main company of proflowers.com, it might help you feel better. It would be better for your health if you just accepted the gift and tossed out the cookiees that offend you, as it was all meant as a wonderful gesture. Trying your best to find the good in things is so much better for your health and so less frustrating. You can reserve your right to never patronize this company again.
