I need to make a gift basket for a fundraiser?
I need some ideas. The basket is going to be raffled off at a pro football training camp. I can do almost anything but I am not sure what to do. I need to do something nice yet inexpensive. any ideas? The most I want to spend is about $20 and I need to get it by tomorrow afternoon!

Who are the people who are going to attend? Mostly men or women? When doing this, plan ahead and get people to donate to you. Since you can't do that this time, here is a suggestion: Go to Kirklands and get a nice container. (what I have done before is a little chest or one of the decorative books with storage. I am unsure of what you are wanting to put in the basket, but you can do Bath & Body works clearance items and their trial items. Put a bath sponge in with it and a relaxation CD. You can get most of this on clearance. Another idea is to buy a popcorn bucket and fill with movie tickets, chocolate, microwave popcorn and a funny movie. (clearance in Wal-Mart) Good luck.

Poker Night Gift Basket?
I am Putting together a "Poker Night" Gift basket to Action Off at a Bennefit, I need some Ideas on what i could put in it? Any Ideas will be Helpfull. Thanks!!

cards, poker chips, one of those automatic card shufflers, bags of snacks: chips, pretzles, peanuts, bridge mix, or a gift certificate so they can buy their own snacks. EDIT a poker book that tells all the rules of the games, and maybe you could find one of those mats/clothes that you put on the table that tells whats higher than what (or if you are crafty you could make one)

Should I use a basket or wrap each gift individually?
I'm buying my boyfriend a whole bunch of little gifts like a wallet, cologne, beer holder, sunscreen for our fishing trip, gym membership for MMA, you get my point.I kust want to know if it would be better to wrap everything in seperate boxes or put everything in a big basket. I think individually it would be more exciting but i dont know what do yall think?
--------------------
I think a basket is rather feminine. What will he do with the basket after he takes the gifts out? I'd prefer giving him a gym bag(or a gift bag) and load it up with the gifts each wrapped in different colors of tissue paper. Add some socks, and a small picture frame with a picture of the two of you. Throw in some loose wrapped candy, gum, mints etc and maybe even lottery tickets. I could go on and on, I love thinking of neat ways to "wrap" gifts!

I want to make a basic fishing gift basket for someone...?
I have a good friend that likes to fish, but her last ex took all of her fishing gear...I would like to make her a small basic gift basket with essentials, but wouldn't know where to start... Can anyone help? P.s. We live in Northern Wisconsin if that's helpful...
--------------------
If someone were giving me a fishing gift basket, and I am absolutely addicted to fishing...lol, then this would be some of the stuff I would like to see in it. For the "basket" get a good tackle box to place all of the items inside. You can get a decent small one that would be a good starter for $10-20, it doesn't have to be too expensive, just functional and sturdy. (We tend to take our small one out when doing live fishing and have a bigger one we take out when we use lures, that way we are not always lunking around a big tackle box everywhere, so a small one should start her just fine.) It'll also be easy to wrap if you choose to do so for added surprise...lol. In the box put a couple of packages of slip bobbers with bobber stops. Maybe a package of still bobbers as well. Two or three packages of split shot weights, in a couple of sizes. A spool of fishing line, either braided or flourocarbon is better (but she can use monofiliment as a starter if the others are out of your price range). Line test weight is going to depend on where she is fishing, but I tend to stick to either 8lb, 10lb, or 12lb line, any bigger than that and the fish see it too easily. If she is going for LARGE fish though, she might want something a little heavier. She will need lots of hooks and you can get small packages for about $1.50 and get varying sizes. (The sizes we tend to use the most are 1/0, 2/0, and 3/0 Eagle Claw wide worm hooks, Eagle Claw Crappie Hooks, and size 3/0 Eagle Claw circle sea hooks. The sizes will vary though depending on what size fish she is looking for, but I've found 3/0 and 4/0 will typically get you decent size fish without neglecting a smaller fish). You might could pick out a couple of lures to throw in as well. Anything that will allow a lot of movement, color, and noise will work good. Just don't pick anything too large, or the fish won't be able to get it in it's mouth. I've found live bait works best anyway, so you could just start with a few really good ones for now. She can go from there. I doubt you would be going so far as to buy her a pole, but if you do, you can get decent starter poles at Walmart for $30-40. But the type is going to depend on her skill and preference, so that would probably be better left up to her, or you go pick it out with her after surprising her with the tackle box with neat items. Good luck putting the basket together. I know your friend will be really surprised and will REALLY enjoy it. I know I would...lol.

What gift ideas do you have for a family of four with little money for Christmas? We've had it rough.?
My husband was out of work for about 5 months and now has a job that only pays $8.00 and hour. We have gotten help with food and clothing and bills, but Christmas is coming up and we don't know how we are going to make gifts or buy gifts for our loved ones and our kids especially. I usually make gift baskets and even those aren't too cheap when you have little to no money coming in.
--------------------
Have you looked into Thrift Shops? They can have some neat toys and some good as new. Also you can make items for them or together. Use things in nature like leaves, pinecones, sticks etc. Books at your local library will give you plenty of ideas. Check one out. You can go caroling, make cookies, get them involved in helping others like visit a nursing home or senior center. Another cool idea is to make a big Christmas Basket (decorated). As a gift to your kids let them pick a card out of the basket each week for two months (something like that). Put index cards in the basket (decorated with santa, reindeer, candy canes or ?) with an inscription or wish. Examples: I will take you to the Park for Two Hours Bake cookies together, you choice of type I will play football with you for an afternoon I will take you fishing and teach you how (wow) We will go on a 3 hour hike We will go to a local animal park to see the animals We will build sandcastles together at the beach We will go to the local swimming pool to swim You can find literally hundreds of things you can do that your kids will enjoy for low cost or no cost. They will LOVE this. Make it fun. Anytime a kid get to spend quality time with a parent they love it more than any toy. This really works, just please try it. But remember to follow through, dont ever not do what they pick. Maybe pick Sunday as they day of the week they pick the adventure. Also you can see if the local newspaper will run an ad for you that your kids are not getting Christmas this year. They love humanitarian stories and may feature your family. You can also talk to churches (they have toys and food) or local non-profits like the Family Resource Centers, Boys and Girls Club or get your kids put on an Angel Tree ( people pull the names and buy them a gift, but make sure it is a resonable toy). Womens Centers may help also. Many churches and non-profits have parties for less fortunate kids, I know I used to buy 100 gifts each year and help throw the party. Help is out there start searching. All kids deserve CHRISTMAS. Good Luck

Christmas Gift Basket Ideas?
Hello. My sister and I are wanting to make edible christmas themed gift baskets to give to our friends/family. got any ideas??
--------------------
I got married two years ago and I got lots of themed kitchen baskets that were super cute! One was "breakfast" themed: it had a waffle iron (not necessary at Christmas, but nice for newlyweds!), syrup, pancake mix, pre-cooked bacon, a spatula, measuring cups, etc. Another was "pasta themed" it had a strainer, boxes of pasta, Parmesan cheese (the kind in the jar, not fresh!), jars of sauce. The third was "tea" themed: tea kettle, cute cups and saucers, an apron, recipes for cookies and cakes, etc. I loved these gifts! The things in them were not the most expensive or extravagant, but they stick out to me most from all my gifts! I'm doing this theme idea for my family this year. I'm making a "Mom and Daughter Day" basket for an aunt, a "College Kid Survival" basket for my sister, "Penn State" for my Uncle, "Country Christmas" for my mom...all easy stuff that I will be able to buy cheap or make! Packed in a basket with a pretty ribbon and some clear florist wrap around it? It looks like a thousand bucks and is really cost effective! (Here's a tip...look at the Salvation Army or second hand store for GREAT and cheap baskets!)

Ideas for a gift basket- married couple for "honeymoon"?
Some friends of ours are getting married and we thought to get them a sort of gift basket for their wedding. They are leaving on a "pre-honeymoon" to an NFL football game and they will be driving. The drive is about 8 hours. Any ideas on good things to include in the gift basket- We were thinking music that they can listen to on the drive map of interesting things to do where they are going Any other ideas or sport ideas???? Please don't put done any sexual answers please, this is a serious gift. I know it is the honeymoon, so something romantic and tasteful would be good. Thank you

Trying to make a gift basket?
Okay I'm making a gift basket for my mom for Christmas so far I got one of her favorite perfumes, some pajamas, some comfy slippers, and a mani/pedi gift certificate but I don't know what else to include in her gift basket any suggestion from those who've made there mom a gift basket before.
--------------------
You should add in your mom's favorite food(s), or add in little snacks you know she would enjoy, whether it be a box of expensive chocolates or even a pack of Twizzlers, if that's what she's into. It will be special because your mom will know you remembered what her favorite food/snack is. You could also add in useful tidbits such as: - Pen + mechanical pencil set with her name on it. - Books/magazines she might enjoy. - Cute little cellphone charms with some of her favorite cartoon characters or a cellphone charm with her first initial. (Not really useful, but adorable.) Oh, and since your adding in spa/bath type of things, you should also try looking for a small towel set with her initials on it. My grandmother got these for me last year for Christmas and I think it's really cute. It included a large towel and a smaller towel, both with the letter "A" in pink script on it. I'm not sure where she got it though. You should also try: http://www.glitzy-glam.com/store/ They have some cute and useful things on there for females too.

i have old wicker/woven baskets.what is best way to clean deep down dust for re-use?
i've got a whole box of baskets i wanna re-use as gift baskets, but they have dust deep down in every crevice. i'm assuming water will make them swell....not sure what to do?
--------------------
I've cleaned wicker baskets with water and they were fine. Just make sure they dry quickly--hang them up in sunlight or in a breeze. I usually put them in the bathtub or shower and spray them with very hot water. Spraying them with windex, vinegar or an ammonia solution wouldn't hurt. Spray on, rinse off 5 minutes later. Don't use anything soapy or you'll have to rinse a lot.

What is the price for 1 oz. grass used to fill the gift basket?
and how much grass does it cost to fill one midium sized basket
--------------------
A bog of this stuff in a craft store is about $2.99 I think. If you want to save money you could run colored paper through your paper shedder if you have one. Or just just sheets of colored tissue paper, match the corners together, holding the center at the same time. Then artfully arrange this in your basket until you think it looks good.

What are the best things to but in a gift basket?
it is the persons birthday. she is a girl turning 14 and like my best friend in the world. she loves the color purple and white if that means anything. and she is pretty tomboy but we are getting manis and pedis for her b-day and doing a sleepover so i want this to be like the best gift basket ever!! she wouldn't tell me what she wants and I thought this would be really thoughtful. here is what i have : a nancy drew book (cause she really likes them) a little happy birthday book (you know the ones that are like 3 inches big and have happy quotes) a mini book "nancy drew's guide to life" it's super cute a burt bees facial kit that has hand stuff too. it's super duper cute! :) a sachi bookmark that says "Friendship is a sheltering tree" the most gorgeous journal that ever existed along with the most gorgeous pen that ever existed (it has little beads coming off of it! here are some other things i'm thinkin: nail polish in purple, gift card, bath & body works, candy?
--------------------
I think you are on the right track!! I love to do this for my friends!! Nail polish is great because even if you are a tomboy, you still like it (I was when I was 14 too!!) some of the lil' bottles of B&B lotions are great, maybe some lipgloss or flavored chap stick?! Also picture frames are great!! She can put pics of the sleep over in them. And may some cute cheap jewlery from claires or something!! Shes lucky to have a sweet friend like you!!

Good gift ideas for a math teacher?
It would be a group appreciation gift, so everyone would contribute maybe $5-10(100-200$ in all). What could we get with that money? Something thoughtful, not a gift card. I was thinking a gift basket and a plant maybe?

anyone heard of La Bella Baskets?
Would you buy gift baskets online for friends and family anymore? Just curious how many people still do so, and if they have ever used the company La Bella Baskets? They give you a website and commission on sales and referrals. But, not an arm and a leg to start - which is what I like about it. For $1.97 you can be up and running. But don't want to put my efforts into it if no interest is out there. Just relative answers please, about this subject only.
--------------------
I definitely would buy baskets. As a matter of fact, I came across La Bella Baskets while looking to buy multiple baskets for some clients. The baskets look beautiful, and the prices are very reasonable. I plan on purchasing from them as soon my company okays it. If it works out well, we will continue to do so. Also, my sister is a high school cheerleading coach, and she buys gift baskets every week during football season to give to the opposing teams. I've already let her know about their website. Here it is in case you are interested. www.mylabellabaskets.com/crystal.html

I want to send my dad some sort of gift basket for Father's Day, any ideas?
Edible Arrangements were too expensive.

Far cheaper to put together your own basket than to order one online or from a florist. I would put in a currently popular dvd, some treats you know he loves, or else a car wash "bucket" basket, with a nice sponge, some chamois cloths, car wax, etc inside!
