ok so i'm a high school student. and at school i'm an athletic trainer and we just got a new coach this year and so i've only known her for about a month, but her birthday is coming up and i would like to get her something but i don't know wut to get her cuz i haven't known her that long. keep in mind she's 22 so she's a young one! wut about like a gift basket BUT WUT KIND OF BASKET??? any suggestions please??!!

Starbucks frappuccino question!?

okay i decided to make my friend a starbucks gift set for christmas and i made it and i bought a frappuccino and a "double shot cappuccino and cream coffee drink" too. Now these things are in their little drinks things. So i was just wondering that if i wrapped them up in a gift basket thing, would the frappuccino and double shot thing get gross or can i keep them unrefrigerated? Thanks!

They are kept on store shelves unrefrigerated, so you shouldn't have any problem. They only need to be refrigerated once they are opened. Sounds like a great idea for a Starbucks lover, I'm sure your friend will enjoy it.

snacks for pregnant women?

My sister in law is pregnant, and i wan tto go over there with a gift..I'm thinking of making a gift basket, but i need ideas as to what i should put in it..What are some good snacks, healthy snacks for pregnant women? thanks

If she is early on in the pregnancy, she might not want food, just to warn you. You could pack her a morning sickness kit if she's having problems in that area--put in saltines, ginger ale, peppermint, gum, preggie pops, fruit (make sure it's well washed), Gatoraide (the kind that has B6 in it really helps me), apple sauce, and Tums. All of these remedies have helped at one point or another in my pregnancy. =) If she is doing hunky-dory as far as nausea goes, put in stuff that is high in iron, calcium, folic acid, and fiber. Cheddar is great for the calcium if she hates milk, or if she is lactose intolerant, you could include some calcium and vitamin d fortified orange juice; that's what I drink for my calcium needs. The sky is the limit here. Sea food, lunch meat, and unwashed fruits and veggies are a no-no--the first because of mercury content and problems with spoiling, the second two because of listeria concerns.

Question to Holiday bakers ...?

I'm going to be a first time baker this Christmas.. My question is how to store things?? and how soon can I make them??? So far the things I'm going to make is Pumkin Gingerbread bread, Chocolate covered prezels, and cookies (not sure what kind yet) I plan on delivering the gifts friday (Dec 22) afternoon and I plan on packing everything in a gift basket ~~~Merry Christmas~~~

You should be fine making the items you listed a couple of days in advance. I recommend tightly sealing the bread, or even freezing it until you are ready to eat it. The pretzels should not be a problem and a tip for your cookies is to store them in a ziploc bag with a slice of bread. I know it sounds wierd but the bread will keep the cookies moist! Good luck! :)

My friend's dad in Iraq?

My friend's dad just left for Iraq yesterday and he will be there for 18 months. What should I do for her? I am making her a gift basket. What should I put in it? She likes webkinz so I am giving her a webkinz, and maybe some candy. I don't know what else to give her. Any other ideas? thanx.

I'm in the same situation as you. My friends father was deployed in March and won't be home until December 2009. I've found it best if you remind her of the nice things the 2 of them did with for a little bit, but don't talk about it all the time. She will come to terms with his deployment, but tell her that he will be home soon. My best friend has been making a scrapbook of a load of things that have happened whilst her father has been gone. She's gonna give it to him when he returns. I hope this helps. But please tell her when she's upset about his deployment, that he will be home.

How In the World Am I Going To Save Our Relationship??

My bf of 3 yrs & 7 mths, told me 4 days ago, after I had a screaming fit with him that he finally had had enough of my intolerable ways. He says he needs his space right now. He said he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me but just doesn't see that happening. We are childhood sweethearts and have known each other since we were 3. We have so many wonderful things in common and memories together. I sent him a gift basket to work today to try and say i am sorry. Was this a wrong move? He still calls me 3-4 times a day. Most of the time its: "Hey. How are you doing? i was just checking on you." Sometimes I say I Love you and he doesnt say it back. Today he said it back. I asked him if everything was going to be ok with us and he said he didnt know he had to think about it. its been 4 days and still no answer. this is our first sepeartion and the longest we've went. Were are we going from here? Someone please help before he leaves me for good! I love him more than life!

Wow, this is harder than most folks have it, b/c of your very long history together. BUT you will be OK, no matter what. When you get that idea into your head, that you will survive no matter what. You will not be so needy that is pushes him furhter off. In fact, he might miss you more and come around on his own terms. Then you need a little counseling. Just someone uninvolved otherwise, who will be able to help you get to what's important. What's intolerable? Why? What does he do that sets it off so that he can point it all on you? And you go from there.

So he sent her a gift basket. Um, OK.She called him to thank him but hung up on him when she found out he had a new GF. She called again while he was at my house. He text msgd her back and she replied while he was with me again. He'd like to remain frnds with her and keep the peace in the family b/c she's also his first cousin. He seems open about when she contacts him or him her. But he still talks about her not a lot but some and I was perturbed when she TM'd him tonight. He apologized to me and tried to say it wasn't like they were really chatting as friends. She was in dire straits medically (and financially) and he just wanted to help out. Is it OK for a man to still contact his ex? Should I be worried? Or say I won't tolerate it? Yes, the cousin thing is gross and weird.

Why didn't Tom and Kat invite Oprah to the wedding?

When I found out that Oprah wasn't going to the wedding ... I cried. How DARE they not invite that woman. HOW DARE THEY. I am shocked they would do such a thing, and Oprah is hurt. Did you see how shocked and sad she looked on The Insider when they asked if she was going to the wedding? I'm thinking of sending a gift basket to her fan club to be passed on to her. She will appreciate it.

Homemade Christmas Ideas?

Because of the the economy and everyone being on a tight budget this year, my mom is having us do a homemade christmas this year.... I need help coming up with ideas for my 20 year old brother who is a Marine and is getting shipped after christmas and for my mom. Please help! By the way I am making my dad a fleece blanket, my sister a coffee gift basket with homemade coffees, and my younger brother a hideaway book....

Your ideas for your Dad and Sister are perfect for homemade gifts, in my opinion, as for your Brother since he is so young and will probably be away from his family for the first time I would suggest a Memory book with Photo's of Christmas past and maybe some written memories along with them and some things you think he might miss such as a favorite CD you can burn of the net, or something along the lines of what you are making for your father. You mother I am sure would be thrilled to receive anything you would make her but think about her hobbies, and her favorite things to enjoy at home, like maybe a book maker for her favorite book or her Bible with picture's of all you guys and you could laminate it to protect and sturdy the maker to last longer and protect the photos, as a mama myself I would be tickled pink at my kids making me something like that, maybe also write her some coupons to cash into you for favors I am not sure of your age but you could offer one for her to relax while you cleaned up the kitchen or did laundry or give her a foot massage back rub anything to pamper her efforts to save her family money during this hardship from the economy. Try searching on the net for ho made gift ideas and you could find something that would suite her own personal style or likes. Huh? Things must have changed since I got married. A sample letter? If you have something to say to him you merely write it out on paper (or just TELL him), in YOUR OWN WORDS! Why would you send him a letter the night before you get married? Like I say, things must have changed. As for the gift basket, well, that's another new one. Why is it necessary the night before the wedding for YOU to create a gift basket for him? This sounds odd and like you are focused about the WRONG things! Believe me, years from now these trivialities won't even be remembered.
