go buy this person something to sleep in or something to wrap up in while in bed. also, and most important, get a cute frame and put a picture of yourself in it for it to be put on the person's nightstand. so whenever the nightmares come, they can just look over and see you

Which name do you like for my gift basket business?
I am starting a gift basket business, but cant come up with a name. My main market is the Asian community, but I will be doing baskets for all sorts of festivals and events from Christmas to Diwali. What do you think of the following names for my business - (Please note the first two have the tag line underneath, the others don't have a tag line) 1). Eastern Hampers - Unique Gift Baskets with an Eastern Touch. 2). Asian Occasions- Gift Baskets for Festivals, Holidays & Cultural Events. 3). Asian Delights 4). Timeless Expressions. Or perhaps some other suggestions? Full points to the best answer so please give some sensible answers. Thanks for your help.

Timeless Expressions. That way if your business grew you could expand your products with out being tied down by the name.

You know those catalogs you get around november, that have the summer sausages and gift baskets and cheese and things like that. I need the name of one of those catalogues so i can order it online, can someone give me a name of them? I gotta order some gifts, and I can't think of any company in that nature.

Just wonderful! Hope this helps

Are you great at gift giving?
If you are...I need some ideas for gifts to buy for a gift basket for my boyfriend. I already bought him a snazzy gift for his motorcycle, so these gifts are small. So far I have some movies, pj's, a few snacks (beef jerky, cookies, chips) and I just want to fill it with as many cool things as possible, my budget for this is $100 so please, let me know if you have any ideas!!! Thanks a bunch and Happy Holidays xoxo C.

I would suggest getting him everyday products that he uses. Books/magazines Shampoo Toothbrush Razors Socks Underwear Shoes Shirt etc. Everyday practical gifts are great I think, next times he needs one of those he'll have the ones you got for him Happy Holidays to you as well :)

New grandmother gift basket?
I'm throwing a baby shower, and would like to make little gift baskets for the new grandmothers. They are both first time grandparents, and very excited. I need to know what to put in them. My budget is about $50per basket. However, I would like them to be identical, because they seem to compete with each other. I don't want either one to feel slighted, even if it is unintentional. I already have these cute little "grandma's brag book albums", and picture frames which are not included in the budget. I would like to get them a book or set of books to read to the child, but am not sure what to get. Also, maybe some essentials to keep at their house. Any suggestions?
--------------------
there's lots of books: http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&keywords at one of the barnes and noble in my city they have a whole little section with 'grandma' books. is there one near you? essentials to keep at their houses: diapers, wipes, onesies, blankets, bottles/cups, silverware for when the baby starts food.

Items to include in a gift basket?
i am going back to my country and i want to take something for them. I have a very big extended family so i want to give 1 gift basket per family. Since i am going by myself and i am 21 i dont want to take too much luggage so i am trying to keep luggage to the minimum so that means the gift baskets cant weigh much and oh not to forget cant cost too much since i am on a budget. What should i include in the basket?? (most of them are girls) so so far i have : a shampoo bottle, mascara, lip pencil, lipstick, eye pencil. Should i include something else? because the basket seems empty.... thankyou in advance

I suggest putting together a couple of baskets and bringing them into various office buildings in your downtown area. Try to show them to office managers and executive assistants. They are the ones who typically send gifts and choose who to buy them from. Let them know that you are local and can ship same-day (if this is true) or do local deliveries (if this is true). You could even offer them some sort of discount such as 10% off orders of $100 or more.

Christmas gift basket ideas ...?
I wanted to do themed gift baskets this year but I'm having a hard time ... (my) Aunty, 39, single, live on her own (no kids) - I have a picture of her and my daughter that was taken just yesterday at a pool (we live in Hawaii) .. I was thinking about framing that and giving it to her in a basket .. but with what else?? (my) cousin - 34, single mother, one child (7) - son is a allergic to ALOT of foods .. chocolate, rice, wheat, and alot more ... Mother is allergic to some scented itemed .. any ideas would be helpful cause I'll totally lost with this one. (my) aunty & uncle - mid 50's to early 60's .. live alone - stays home all the time, both doesn't work any more .. no hobby's .. uncle has diabetes **no gift cards** Thanks in advance!!
--------------------
I think the photos in a frame is a great idea, and could work for all 3 baskets. You said no gift cards, but how about some food coupons to grocery stores, and or eating places. Everybody likes to eat out. Or a "booklet of coupons" that you can make on the computer, offering yourself for homecooked meals, childcare while mom goes out to a restaurant or spa. That sort of thing always worked for me with a wealthy aunt who had everything else, but loves to go to Pizza Hut or a local place. For your aunt and uncle, a "coupon" or gift certificate to a local barbershop or hair salon for a makeover, perm, haircuts, etc. along with some nice hair products from that particular salon. Even if people can afford these things, it's always fun to have somebody else to pay for it !!! Your cousin who is allergic to scented items. Make the basket with unscented candles, lotions, body wash, bath mitt, the framed photo--maybe of the 2 kids together, an ivy plant in a pretty pot. That also may work for your 39 yr old aunty, too. I hope I've helped you some.

What else should I put in a gift basket?
We are doing a white elephant Christmas on both sides of my family. Our gifts are going to be between 20-25 dollars and something that they can actually use/enjoy. I decided to make gift baskets for all of the Christmas'...4 baskets (me and spouse). I am doing a TX Longhorn basket (all fans), a movie basket (blockbuster gift card, popcorn ect), a sports movie basket (sports movie, popcorn, sodas, candy, pretzels, dip mixes) and a chick flick movie basket. I am having trouble with the chick flick basket. I am going to buy a romance movie, put tissues and chocolate in the basket, but what else can I put? I need about 2 or 3 more things. Any suggestions are appreciated!! And you can also suggest ideas for the other basket if you would like! Thanks!

Should I scale the gift basket for my big sister down a bit?
Ok I am really creative.I am into writing and art.I paint, draw, color, scrapbook, and make things.I am actually an only child, but this lady has been my older play sister for 2 years. We are best friends and she's my older play sister and mentor since I'm an only. This year is the big one.I may not be able to give her the gift this year.It may have to be for next year.I told her and she understands.I make gift baskets for really good friends.I have only made 4.The last one I made got kind of out of control. She said she is still just now getting to some of the toiletries that were in it.I gave the last gift basket I made to one of my younger friends. The basket had toiletries, school supplies, and accessories. She received 400 things in all in the basket. It took me 8 months to put it together. She didnt tell me what she liked so it was hard and got out of control. Now I know what my big sister likes,so its not hard.I made list of possible things I want to put in basket. It comes to 200 things.

Quality is more important than quantity. Focus less on building huge piles of things to give and more on getting her things she can truly use and appreciate. In other words, yes, I would say that it is good of you to scale this gift basket down somewhat.

Gift Basket/Flower Drop shipping? Help needed!?
Hello I am looking for a drop shipping company to provide gift baskets, chocolates and flowers in america. Can anyone recommend a dropshipper that does gift baskets, flowers to cater for the american market? * one that is reputable * offers a website package as I don't know how i will be sending all the orders through manually to the wholesaler on a daily basis keeping up with this would be crazy.. for example some drop shippers state "Once you sell one of our items, you will return to this website and place your order" this is what i would like to avoid (any suggestions on how to over come this would be appreciate) * with no excessive fees what drop shipping company would you recommend?

Hey, I have had experience with Dropshipdesign.com. My business was not related to gift baskets, chocolates and flowers, so I don't know if they do that kindof distribution. But I can attest that they were very helpful and efficient with all my business transactions. You can check out testimonials and a business comparison in the source section. Good luck! -KB

You can add handheld electronic games like Yahtzee. My local Walmart has a little section for these type games. A large variety of them. Fruit is always good. Personalized mugs would be neat as well.

Gift basket ideas for project???
I need to come up with an idea for an online service. Nothing real just demos for my e-commerce class. I went w/ ordering last minute gift baskets online for that person that's hard to shop for. I wanted to do buckets w/ 6 packs of beer for men, mixed drinks for women both w/ snacks, a shirt and flip flops or something. Then I decided that going thru the research and disclaimer info for alcohol sales was more than what I wanted to deal w/ for such a small project so most of my ideas are out the window. Now I have only one basket w/ food and glass coca cola bottles and a Blockbuster popcorn bucket w/ giftcards and candy. Now I'm stuck and I need more than just two products to sell. I'm in a rut so any, even if crazy, ideas would really help me out. Baskets for women isn't too hard but what about men? Thanks in advance, I'd really appreciate any kind of advice!

You are very thoughtful! I think he will really appreciate all you are doing for him. If he likes sweaters, a sweater would prolly be welcome. He might like a pair of slippers, let's see. A photo of you in an nice frame I always appreciate a new Teddy (Bear, for those who have something else in mind).. If into sports, then something related to his favourite team I always mention buying something he wanted for Christmas or a birthday and didn't get. That might make a very nice option as well. ---That Cheeky Lad

christmas gift basket raffle?
i was thinking that a cute idea for christmas eve would be to have a raffle for small gift baskets. i don't have that much money and our extended family will be coming over. i think there should be a couple of baskets. everyone is aged 4 to about 60. there are lots of parents in their 50- 60s and then theres some 20 year olds. a couple of teenagers. a grandma whose in her 80s. and a 4 and 8 year old. how many gift baskets do you think i should make? and what themes should they be? =) thankyou and happy early holidays!
--------------------
The amount of baskets you make depend on three things How much money you have to spend, How many people are going to be there, and how many people you want to get a basket. For the 4 and 8 year old you can make them their own special basket with a coloring books, crayons, stickers, stuffed animal, and a small toy or you can just have the baskets for the adults. Basket Ideas Santa's Goodies-Hot chocolate, Christmas Mug, and homemade cookies and other sweets. Gingerbread-Gingerbread cookies, Gingerbread man cook book, whisk, and a gingerbread scented candle. Cold Winter's Night-Fleece Blanket, hot chocolate, Christmas mug, candle and or a pair of one size fits most gloves Movie Night-Popcorn, candy bar, soda, cheap Christmas movie, or tickets to the movies. Christmas-Small Christmas decorations, ornament, hot chocolate, Christmas mug, Christmas CD or Christmas movie. You can buy everything I mentioned from the Dollar Store and try to buy items that you get more then one item so you can use it in more then one basket like the hot chocolate. Edit: My husbands family have a raffle every year and then the money is saved and used for the following year for food, drinks, baskets for next year, etc. so one person isn't stuck paying for everything and so they can plan for next year and get items when they are on sale.

There is no need to give the first room mate any gift basket. She made it clear she didn't want you as a roomie. She only changed her mind because she realized she could get somebody really awful to replace you. Just be pleasant for the month, pack up, and leave. Enjoy being a roomie with your two friends.

Buying a Beauty Gift Basket Online?
I'm trying to find out if there's a place online that sells beauty gift baskets (i.e. makeup, skincare, ect.) with an array of options and that have good quality items and a classy look. Or if there's even such a place. I couldn't find a place when I searched online. And to clarify I'm not talking about gift baskets from departments stores or just from certain brands at Sephora or whatnot. I mean, like gift baskets that have an array of items, prices, and products all thrown together in a festivey-gift-basket way. Ones that are custom made or whatever. Let me know if you know of any. Thanks.

starting a gift basket business?
i would like to get every ones opinion on which basket theme they would think would sell the best. i would like to have ten main baskets and a customized one.
--------------------
This all depends on your target market. You need to identify your target market and establish the type of gift baskets that would sell well to them. Is your target market women or men, local businesses, local clinics and hospitals, local gift stores? You can create a core of about five standard gift baskets and use a few items to customize each basket. A guide to starting your own gift basket business is available at the free site below.

Gift Basket business looking for advertising ideas...?
I am trying to get my gift basket business's name out there in my city....I have handed out flyers, put flyers on car windshields, bulletin boards at community parks, put flyers around my apartment complex.....the next goal on my list is to send a few baskets to companies with my information inside....I'm thinking maybe companies that cater primarily to women, so can you give me some ideas of companies that do that? I will probably start with the local "all women" gym....if you have other ideas let me know :) thanks! here is the site with some of my company's information and pictures of my gift baskets.....let me know what you think while you're at it http://www.myspace.com/perfectlyprepared You have to click on the "Perfectly Prepared" profile picture at the top or the "pics" link under it to view the pictures....

well if you have a myspace account for the business of course be sure to add lots of people in the community as friends and post a bulletin or two about the baskets--also try nursing homes or banks, daycare centers (if they display it at the front counter perhaps the parents of the children will see it ;)! ) same with apartment complexes or hotels--anywhere where people are in the mood to celebrate and they would have to be waiting around for a while! Good luck and God bless!

You have to take three examples of your baskets to every corporation within a hundred miles, talk to executive secretaries and leave one with them when they say they can use your baskets for all out of town guests who are staying at a hotel while in town visiting the company call it the corporate welcome baskets offer assortments like: with cheeses, crackers, summer sausage etc also a breads and fruits basket A wine basket and a soup and cornbread basket. Gear the baskets you carry in after you have done the research as to what the corporation does so you are seen as thorough and well informed. Next go to franchise operations and meet with Managers to have them send a basket to the hotel where their corporate people stay when they come into town. Next set up appointments with non-profit groups to give them the choice of sending a basket to certain benefactors of significant thanks. Same with hospitals and colleges to thank large donation supporters.....
