What small items can be included in a small summer gift basket to teachers?
Since the school year is attending, my school's ASB is thinking of putting together and handing out small gifts relating to summer put in small boxes, summer-y cups, etc. to show teacher appreciation :) Each gift will have a small note saying something like "Thank you for being an amazing teacher! Have a nice summer." We would love some help in thinking of what we can put inside. This is what we have so far: - 1 Beach "Umbrella" (those ones you put in cocktails, since the gifts might be put in a small cocktail glass) - 1 Packer of Ice Tea Mix (like those Crystal Lite ones) - 1 mini bottle of sunblock - 2 or 3 Tropical Starbursts Do you guys have any more ideas? Please make sure they relate to summer, are small, and not to expensive. Thank you!

Any ideas what I could get my friend for her birthday?
My friend is turning 13 and her surprise birthday party is in less then 2 weeks! I was going to get her a pre wrap gift basket, but it was sold out!!!! I'm not sure what to get her now! Any suggestions? She likes volleyball, her friends, and she use to be in gymnastics and dance! Any suggestions welcome! I don't want to spend over $30 though, so thanks!
--------------------
OMG! My birthday is in 3 weeks! Your friend and I have birthdays really close to eachother. Anyway, I think that since she loves her friends, you should take pictures of her with you and her friends to make a collage of all the good times you've had together. Then you could glue it onto a cardboard, decorate the frame... Just an idea. Another idea: buy her something you can all do together. Maybe build something that you can buy generally for everyone to use...? My gosh, I have no idea. I'm the birthday GIRL. not the birthday PLANNER.

Looking for someone who can customize a cosmetice or toiletry bag. Any suggestions?
I am looking for a medium sized cosmetic pouch or toiletry bag that I can have a logo put on. In addition to that I am looking for a larger item that I can use for a gift basket. It can be a bag, tote, box, can , tin or any stylish unique item a young girl would like to carry around or use as decor for a room tostore items in. Sort of trendy. These two items will be part of a set sort of.
--------------------
I would look into a local promotional products company. They typically have catalogs and catalogs of different products that you can choose from to put your logo onto. There are a ton of different companies out there. I have worked with Logo Expressions in the past and been happy, but if you type in custom logo products into any web-browser you will be able to browse some of the items and the prices different companies offer before you even have to speak to a sales representative. Whatever you are working on sounds like a fun project!

I need a good gift idea to have delivered to a friend?
I won't be able to see my friend for a little while after her birthday, and I wanted to order something online to have delivered to her house. I don't want to do flowers, but I was trying to think of a nice gift basket or something...any ideas? Also, if I'm ordering online, I'd prefer a well known site so I won't be victim to identity theft, so nothing small-town. Thanks

Advice On Filling a Gift Basket?

--------------------
i think you have to decide what your going to put in i.e. bath stuff. chocs, etc then fill with items on that theme. How about make up you can get false eyelashes, mascara, lippy, wipes, flannel, cleanser all sorts of stuff. And it can all be got cheaply at wilkinson or somehwere like that Dont forget a bow get the local florist to do you a big one.

Where can I find a cup shaped wicker basket?
I have seen gift baskets made with a wicker coffee cup shaped basket. I love that basket and my moms is nuts about coffee. I'd like to get just the basket and buy my own gifts to go in it (I don't like what's prepackaged) but I can't find just the basket anywhere! Has anyone seen any in stores on online for sale?

What are some items that can go into a stress-relief gift basket?
Around this time every year I am tasked with putting together a gift for some of our employees. In the past I've done variations of movie-themed gift baskets with several different candies, popcorn, and a gift card to either Cinemark or Blockbuster. I am typically given around $35 - $40 to spend on each basket. Instead of doing the same thing again this year, a few coworkers and I came up with a "stress-relief" themed basket. So far we have a Starbucks gift card (price depending on my budget), coffee mug, chocolate, a stress ball, one of those little back massagers, and maybe some hot chocolate and marshmallows. The items have to be appropriate for a wide range of people. I have men and women aged 17-50. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I am starting a gift basket and party supply business and I need help coming up with a catchy name?
I am starting out small first..to see how its going to work out but I want to get everything together by Christmas so I can start with the next big holiday which is Valentine's day! I also want to do gift bags and baskets for weddings, birthday parties, graduation parties/ and just a place where people can buy supplies for events. I live in a small town that doesn't have much of anything. Right now im working on flyers and business cards and i need a name. My name is Roshanda.. and if anyone can give me some ideas i would appreciate it.
--------------------
Roshanda, Unlike the previous poster, I would NOT recommend putting your name in the business name. No matter how pretty it is, it's a waste of space. A good business name is one that is as short as possible, while still being descriptive and catchy. It's important to note that "catchy" doesn't mean cool or unique, it means something that's easy to remember. If you're selling gift baskets and party supplies, you'll want to have a name that makes that very obvious to anyone who sees it. How many times have you seen an advertisement displaying the name of a business and thought to yourself "Ok, I saw your ad, but what do you do? How can you help me?" If people see your name and it jumps out at them WE SELL GIFT BASKETS AND PARTY SUPPLIES then anybody interested in gift baskets or party supplies will be likely to remember your name, and maybe look you up when they get home. On the other hand, you could have the absolute coolest name in the world, but it will be very ineffective if it isn't descriptive. Example: I own a business that develops web applications and web technologies for clients. One of the main things we develop are called "web crawlers" or "web spiders" I named my business "Spider Web Technologies." It's descriptive, it's relatively catchy, and it's relatively short. Additional note: Make sure you can get the domain name of whatever name you choose. You may not be interested in selling online now, but you probably will be at some point, and it would stink to have the name "Basket Party" but not have basketparty.com available.

Is this good customer service from the largest Fruit and Gift Basket/Tower company in the world?
I ordered 6 gift baskets that were on sale from one of (if not) the largest fruit basket/gift tower companies in the world. Two baskets were delivered last week and the other employees were told theirs should arrive soon. After not receiving them today, I called the company and was informed that they no longer have any more of the deluxe baskets or anything close to the size. "But" I was told, they could substitute their "deluxe gift tower of treats" instead. The baskets i ordered were 18lbs of fruits, nuts etc and were originally priced at $340.00. The substitute has only 1/3 the fruit (pears and apples) and is just candy and popcorn that sells for $149! And we would have to still pay the same $100 for the substitute! Furthermore, they never even called/emailed etc to inform us to tell us of the mistake! We have been ordered with them for three years spending about $800 a year. Is this good customer service? I feel they should offer the equivalent discount on the substituted item OR should send the tower of treats along with a nice gift basket to fill in for the difference since other office employees will see the huge size discrepancy.

I agree... that is terrible. You need to call their home office and talk to every executive you can get hold of, and don't let up until the situation is remedied. Consider talking to your local TV consumer watchdog reporter as well.

Creative Gift Basket Ideas?
For a Family Reunion? We can not think of any! Its on the 16th and we dont want it to be too expensive or to cheap. There will be more adults than kids but what about something for the adults? Kids? or the whole family? Thanks so much!
--------------------
For a family re-union, you can think of arranging a small party with events, games and other fun items. At the end of the party, you can decide to give a gift to each one which need not be very costly. You can plan to choose toys for children and silver artifacts for adults. To make it more interesting and lively make them win these gifts in some game/event organized during the family re-union. The family members will get a chance to show their talent and at the same time make it more casual and joyful experience.

Wedding/Bridal Shower Gift Etiquette?
I'm going to a bridal shower this weekend and I'm not sure of the gift giving etiquette. It's being held at a country club. They had an engagement party last summer and I brought a gift basket (about $65). How much should I be spending for a shower gift, and should I get a gift off of the registry? Also, the wedding is in mid September and is also formal. I will be bringing a date to the wedding. Should I bring a money gift or should I purchase and mail a gift in advance of the wedding? What's the proper etiquette for wedding/shower gift giving?
--------------------
I would definitley get the shower gift from the registry. The bride and groom probably spent a lot of time picking out what they wanted and are excited to receive those gifts. If you spent $65 for the engagement gift, I would spend at least that much or more for the shower gift. As for the wedding, I think that either putting money in a card or mailing a gift in advance would be appropriate. I don't think that there is "proper" ettiquitte for all of this or if there is people seldom know it and they just go by what their family or community traditions are. What I have listed are just my opinions. I have found when talking with friends and co-workers, that everyone has different expectations of what is to happen at weddings. However, buying from the registry, and giving money have never been argued by any of my friends or co-workers :) Hope you have fun at the upcoming events!
