I'm pretty new to the area and I'm putting a Welcome to Baltimore gift basket together. So, other than crabs and Old Bay Seasoning, is there anything else Baltimore is good for?

Mom's 50th Birthday...Gift ideas needed?? Here is what I have so far...?
I got her a nice basket from target, so she can use anywhere in the house. Anyway, since her b-day is close to Easter I went with the basket theme. In the basket, i got her 4 pair of flip flips from Old Navy. A collage picture frame, with pictures in it, a cookbook, she loves them, and a sweet pea bath and body set. I just feel like there needs to be something else, after all it is her 50th. Any ideas of what I could add?

Are there any die-hard Sopranos fans? I have a question.?
There's an actress that plays Tony's mistress. There's an epidsode where she's channel surfing on the bed and it's a barbara striesand movie, and tony ends up sending melfi a gift basket with a bottle of tide in it, and there's a card saying thinking of you, your prince of tide. What actress plays the part of the mistress that is channel surfing on the bed?

Is this a good idea to do , or not.?
I'm takeing a florist class, and I was thinking of makeing a dezine of flowers for my boyfriend's mom, I was going to do a gift basket, but I was thinking it would be to much, I'm going to meet his parent's for the first time in two years, and I want them to like me, so is flowers a good idea, and make a small bag of candy for his 8 year old brother and 12 year old sister.

homemade natural pet treat/food business?
I am going to be doing my own homemade pet food home business for a bit of extra $, and to feed my own pets (3 cats, 1 dog) Also, any ideas you may have on packaging the treats/food would be great... basically, tell me what you would like to see and purchase, if you were in the market for pet treats. -What kind of pet would you buy treats for? (Bird, cat, dog, rodent) -What packaging would appeal to you? -What price ranges would you find acceptable? -Would you buy the item online, at a reasonable price and shipping rate? -Would you buy a gift basket for a pet, or someone with a pet? Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks! ;)
--------------------
I'd buy stuff for cats guinea pigs and rabits, but only 'cause they are the only pets I have :) I think, a good price is around £1 to 3. Or $5 to 6 colourful packaging is essentiual, and state on the packet why your treats are better then the other brands, state they are handmade with your pet in mind ect. I may buy the item online, but I'm not much a online shopper, but if you got on some good websites to advertise / sell your stuff, you should sell many . A gift basket is a lovely idea, but it has a be a fairly cheap one, maybe make it seasonal, like a christmas one? Good luck! or, as we say in Japan, gombatte :)

Is there a correlation between expensive gifts and sex?
One of my ex boyfriends was always buying me flowers and expensive gifts. For example, for Easter, he spent hundreds of dollars on baskets for me and my family. He would go all out and do anything for me... At the same time..he kept talking about all these amazing sex acts that he wanted to perform...
--------------------
he,s just trying to buy sex from you. if someone buys expensive gifts they are,nt suppose to expect sex from you in return. sex is suppose to happen because both people want it, not because they buy you stuff.

Christmas gift question?
I'm giving my boyfriend money for Christmas but instead of just putting it in a card I'd like to do something fun with it. Ex: Buy candy and put the money in a basket of candy. (don't like that idea but just to give you all an idea of what I'm talking about). I want it to be inexpensive too. Thank you!

I'm an American sending a gift basket to my friend in England who wants products that he cannot find there. So far, these include Lucky Charms, Twinkies, and Mountain Dew. (not sure why he likes those, because I think they're disgusting!) Anyways, what other kind of American products would you want to see in your gift basket? Any ideas outside of Food + Drink are welcome!

I need your opinion?
I run an online gift basket business, and I am delivering a gift basket from FL to CA, anyway, the sender wants to add a personal message. I was unsure about whether I should send his message in a typed card, or a more personal handwritten card. He ordered online, so of course, he is unable to write it himself. So should I try to neatly write the message so it seems more personal, or just type it up?
--------------------
If you have the time, and if you have good handwriting, then it would certainly add a personal touch to the gift. The person who is going to receive this gift, will certainly send a "thank you" note to the person who sent the gift. Or they might even pick up the phone, and call to thank them. Either way, you can be sure that your personally hand-written note will be mentioned. Who knows, it may create a reputation for your business. There is nothing better than the word-of-mouth advertising. Of course if this catches on, then your business is going to boom and perhaps you may have to hire a full-time person to write these hand-written notes for all your gift baskets. So what is wrong with that, right?

I was sick for a few days, so i missed the lessons, :/ I need help changing these sentences from active to passive, then translating them into latin. Active: The boy will hold the small gift basket. Passive: The gift basket will be held by the boy. (?) Latin: ? Active: The dog was eating the food. Passive: The food was being eaten by the dog. Latin: ? Active: The girl will have been singing the song (for two days). Passive: ?? Latin: ? Thank you!

Latin: Puella canta[3rd singular passive ending in the right tense] a [Accusative for song] I have to write an essay, so I can't look everything up. :/ Sorry.

How do you help your teen to understand that a failed relationship is not the end of the world?
My daughter's relationship with her high school sweetheart ended a few months ago. They attend different colleges. Unfortunately, she put all her eggs in his basket and assumed they would go through life together, now she's lost her drive for school and work. (She is very gifted mentally)

What should I get my mom for her birthday?
My Mom's Birthday is in 6 days, kinda 5, but it's on July 6th. I'm 14 years old, and a male. I'm Russian. I'm going to Russia by myself from America on the 5th, lol, I know. I'm thinking of getting a birthday card, and writing in russian, I might make a lot of mistakes in spelling though, but she'll understand it. In the card I want to say happy 29th birthday (she's turning 38 : / ) because as a child I always asked how old she is, she always said 29, then next year on her birthday i asked when i was a child, she said 29, so i was like how is this! you were 29 last year. lol. Then I was to say a lot of stuff, then close it with ps, ask alex for your gift. 9alex is my 19 year old bro). So then he hands her the gift. I want to pretend I'm forgetting her birthday, haha, so then she'll be REALLY surprised. So what should I get her? I have about 900-1000 dollars in cash, yes I'm a rich motha fudga, lol. I am not spending it all! She won't really want a spa thing, or a gift basket, so i think i wanna buy her some jewelry. She has a lot of jewelry already. Mostly rings I think. So, what should i get her? it can be anything.

Why is my Ex So Rude?
Yesterday was My Ex's birthday. So being the nice person I am, I sent her Roses and a huge Godiva Chocolate Gift basket. We haven't been speaking for two months. She emailed me yesterday and thanked me for the gifts and asked me why I did that. She also started telling me what was going on where she was about neighbors and things. I emailed her back and she responded once telling me more things about her neighbors. This morning I emailed her very early and I know she's been online and I know she read my email but hasn't responded back. What should I do? I mean why would she accept my gifts and talk to me a few times then stop again? I don't get it. I didn't say anything that she would stop emailing me.
--------------------
You did a very nice thing for your ex and of course she accepted the gift. Her emails are those of a friend. She probably thought you were getting the wrong idea when you emailed her early in the morning. Give her the space that she needs. When she writes to you take your time in responding. Take it easy... you'll probably get more. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

My sister is getting MARRIED! I need advice!!!?
My sister and her fiance are getting married in August, and she's made me the Maid of Honor. I'm so excited for them, but I'm very nervous because I'm not sure what I'm expected to do... I want to do everything in my power to help her, but I don't want to step on anyone's toes either... What are the typical responsibilities of a Maid of Honor? I've also been wondering what to get them for Christmas. I want to make them a "Gift Basket" type thingy. I found a really beautiful oak magazine rack, and I already bought them a Wedding Organizer, but my "basket" idea looks... well BARE... What else should I put in the basket? I don't want to get them anything that's going to clutter up their apartment, (I was thinking about HIS/HERS towels, but it might be a little early for that.). But I don't want to get them junk either. My sister is like my best friend. What would you do? I want it to be heartfelt and meaningful, but I need to do so on a budget! THANKS!!!!

Maid of Honor Responcibilities ------------------------------ Start watching a show on TLC called, "Who's Wedding Is It Anyway". As Maid of Honor you will most likely be in charge of much of the wedding planning if a wedding planner is not being utilized. You will have to collaborate with the bride/sister to make sure that she is tying up all the loose ends and that plans are made and details are not overlooked. Keep a binder with individual sections for each thing you are supposed to keep track of... with a front page dedicated to immediate things that need to be done. A 'to do list' with a date of when it is to be 'done'. Get a three ring binder with inserts/dividers that have pockets to put magazine clippings, business cards, reciepts, samples of invitations, place cards.... anything that you need to be able to produce at a moments notice for the brides approval. Make sure the bride/sister knows about this binder and also uses it to keep EVERYTHING together. This can become your idea book as well as your business book for the wedding. Make a budget. Keep track of expenditures. Keep bride and groom and best man informed of how much is being spent on what... and how that reflects on the budget. A phone list would be great as the second section. Keep numbers on a contact list of guests, florists, bakeries, photographers, invitation shop, reception hall, church, pastor/priest/rabbi, the dress shop... everyone that has to do with the wedding. Velentine's day help... for my fiance?
My fiance and I have been together 5 years, and Valentines Day has always seemed to be a disaster. So we weren't sure to plan anything this time around. I am a full time student and part time worker.... I have class on Thursday night until 8. He said he would try to cook for me when I got home. and that I really all I could ask for in a gift, but I want to give him something he will apreciate and enjoy. I like the idea about a srapbook, but don't have any time to make one, and don't hardly have any latest pics of us together..... I was thinking of making a gift basket... any ideas of what to put in it? I am not really on a budget I guess just not too expensive! Oh yeah also as his gift to me I have asked him to go with me this weekend and have professional photos taken of us. He isn't too thrilled about it though. :(

i need some help with christmas present ideas!?
i am going christmas shopping this weekend for my little brothers (they aren't really little, just younger than me!) ages 18 and 15. they both play guitar VERY well (self taught) and i was looking for some gift ideas for them. i wanted to put together a gift basket for each of them containing some of the things they might need for their guitars (picks, strings, etc) but i also wanted to add some other things...i'm just not sure what! it doesn't HAVE to be guitar themed, it can just be music themed or something that they as teenage boys would get a kick out of. i'm trying to stay with cheaper priced options, however i don't have an EXACT budget so if you guys could let me know about some not-too-pricey items to include in their gifts, please, help!

Christmas ideas for a needy family of four?
Hi, I'm a 16 year old High school student. I'm helping a family of four have a Christmas this year by supplying them with gifts. In the family there's a mother, father, 14 year old son, and 10 year old daughter. I also have to put together a food basket. So far, I have the 10 year old daughter covered. I have soups, mashed potatoes, canned corn/peas what else could I give to them in their food basket? And any ideas for the other three family members? Thank you :)

I would like to put together a wine basket for my brother for x-mas who loves all kinds of wine a good cheeses.I live in a small town in Ohio so no access to imported stores, and I like to make it personal by not ordering a ready to go gift basket. So what good(not brake the bank) wines should I put in it,I know he loves Cabernet Sauvignon, and port, but I have no idea when it comes to names and don't want to ask not to apoil the suprise. And what else besides the wine,I mean a mini wine rack or a single wine holder or a decanter?Cheese and cracker,or cheese and a nice cheese cutter set? What would make a perfect wine lover's basket after all. Thanks in advance.

I say to get a nice basket and put a red and white checkered napkin inside with smoked gouda cheese, edam cheese, smoked parmesean and Dublinger Irish cheese, and Guiness cheese along with three bottles of wine, one Merlot, Cabernet and a Chardonay, I recommend Yellow Tail wines, add a dipping oil, (olive oil) and some Cabot crackers. and yes add a cheese cutter.

Do you think that the grandchildren are being rude?
I was speaking with a friend of mine about the upcoming christmas holiday. She has five adult children but one that is 14. Three of her children have kids of their own. My friend was telling me how she is trying to save money and I suggested just giving a gift to her youngest daughter this year and then if she could afford to send a gift basket to her children's families. She then told me that she couldn't because she already received their wish lists and had to get them what they wanted. She was clearly perturbed about that. My question is, who is in the wrong, if anyone? Are the grandchildren in the wrong for openly demanding and expecting to get what they want for christmas? Or are their parents, her children, in the wrong for condoning this? Or is it perfectly okay since it is family? What should I advise my friend to do? Get them what they want? Or do a family gift? Or not give them anything?

her children somehow lost the meaning of what christmas is about, and in turn are teaching their children the same bad values. I say that yout friend shoud just get a family gift for each family. example: ( make a movie night basket. get a good family movie, put some popcorn, and mabey a special popcorn bowl. Or a family board game, with some chips and soda. this way Shes teaching them a lesson about just being with family and having fun. Without having to overindulge. Without actually saying it. As for the 14 year old, she should just get regular presants. after all shes still a kid, Im sure her older siblings still got gifts on christmas morning at that age.
