I'm making a gift basket for my best friend - she is 23 years old, and so far I've come up with a few things, but I need some stuff that is really creative and cute that I haven't thought of! Here's what I've thought of so far: lotion and matching shower gel nail polish Reeses & Mountain Dew (her faves) A necklace & matching earrings cute water bottle to hold it, i'm buying a cute chest (about 1 sq. foot)

Does she have any hobbies? If she likes a specific sport or craft you could put in a few appropriate magazines. If she has a movie she really likes but never got a copy of you could add that as well, or a CD or book. If she likes to write you could buy a standard notebook and then do a collage of her favorite things or places on the front, and the same goes for a sketch book if she likes to draw. If there is something that you know she needs you could get it for her but make it pink or purple or whatever her favorite color is. Also, if she is involved in community volunteer work or any kind of charity you could make purchases and additions accordingly.

Healthy Gift Basket Idea?
For Mothers Day ~ am trying to make a creative gift basket for my Mom. She has been working out and eating healthier. (She also quit smoking :) ) I was going to buy her a new outfit to wear to the gym. Can you give me some other ideas of what to put in the basket? Thank you!

fruit is a great idea! its healthy, tasty, and would look nice in the basket. you could get her one of those counters that tells you how many steps you take. you could get her suntan lotion (for when she is working out outside). a gift certificate to a spa so she can relax after all the hard work she has been doing. also maybe a gift certificate to a salon, new hair style for the new and improved her. congrats to your mom for improving her life!

My sister's job is raffling a chocolate gift basket and they want to know what creative chocolate snacks can they include that will make their basket stand out. my class has to make a gift basket based on a movie that we pick For example if we picked the movie caddy shack we would do like a golf themed basket Does anone have any ideas?

You could do a theme with other movies like you said, or you could do just a traditional movie basket with other children, teenaged, or adult movies, (depending on the age group), and put in popcorn and the long rectangular boxes of movie candy. You more than likely could buy most of these things at WalMart or Target for cheap prices.

How can I get more sales on my site?
My site has been active for almost a year now. I sell baby gift baskets for all occasions, but am currently concentrating on new baby baskets until they start to pick up. I also make and sell luxury birth announcement cards. I am getting about 10 hits a day but in 10 months have made just 3 sales. I have a links page which operates on an exchange basis and I subscribe to google addwords. Is there anything I've missed that I can do to promote my site without forking out a load of money (since I'm running on a loss at the mo!) Thanks :-)

But here is a marketing plan for you. 1) Make sure that your web site has been SEO'd (Search engine optimized) 2) Check your Gogle Adwords account to make sure that you are not advertising on keywords that are too wide - for example "gift baskets" . You are in a very competive market and the bid amounts will be very large. Go for the less obvious terms. Fine tune your ads and search terms at least once a month. 3)Design a basket that is unique to you. Write a press release about it and send it to PRWeb 4)Write at least 4 articles a month about the joy of receiving gift baskets etc. Place them on ezinearticles.com and articleshut.com ClickingBusiness.com has stacks of helpful information for you on how to do this. 5)Contact your local social clubs and tell them about your baskets. I am a new strat up company is it okay not to take credit crads?
Hi i am starting a gift basket company. In these hard times I do not feel safe taking credit cards. Is it okay to ask for only personal checks or money orders before i ship product out? With my company you get to choice every item for the baskets. I just put them together and ship them.

You might want to look into using PayPal it is a well known internet payment system that takes the danger out of using credit cards for both parties. What kind of wine should I get?
I'm thinking about making wine gift baskets for xmas presents, but i don't want to get cheap (or too expensive) wine. I want to get 3-4 bottles of different kinds per basket, but what brand would not make me look really cheap and also prevent me from goign broke?

Depending on the number of baskets, most wine stores offer case discounts in the 10-15 percent range which can help keep it affordable. They are too many to recommend but look to California for "Old Vine Zinfandel's" which I find complex and interesting. Washington state is also coming around and offering some really good value. Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Australian................... Have fun, seek out a reputable merchant and seek advice when you shop

Some recommendations based on the books she likes: The Study trilogy by Maria V. Snyder Poison Study, Magic Study, and Fire Study. This series has that paranormal quality, surviving against all odds, lots of action and adventure, and a bit of romance too. It leads into another series with a different main character but in the same setting, the Glass series. Storm Glass, Sea Glass, and Spy Glass (well not until 2011.)
