suggestions on other books she might like and what else I can put in there? What are things you really enjoy when reading a good book? Any ideas are appreciated.

First of all, I think that is a great idea! Wish someone would do something like that for me! Secondly, I like a small throw blanket to cuddle under, something soothing to drink (someone mentioned tea or hot cocoa,) and a bookmark is a must. Some recommendations based on the books she likes: The Study trilogy by Maria V. Snyder Poison Study, Magic Study, and Fire Study. This series has that paranormal quality, surviving against all odds, lots of action and adventure, and a bit of romance too. It leads into another series with a different main character but in the same setting, the Glass series. Storm Glass, Sea Glass, and Spy Glass (well not until 2011.)
