We are sending my parents to Hawaii and for Christmas I wanted to make a sort of gift basket of things for them to take with them for their trip. I have a few things in mind like sunblock, a pair of flip flops, a beach towel, and dramamine....any one else have any ideas on what I can put in it? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
--------------------
When my fiance and I went to Hawaii my Aunt went online and purchased tickets to a couple really neat events that were going on. It was an awesome gift! It might be fun to throw something like that in the basket. I would also suggest a cheap bag that they can bring to the beach...as unfortunate as it is, people easily pick up other people's bags on the beach, I made sure to bring one that was cute...but wouldn't hurt my feelings too much if lost/taken. I hope they have a great time!

Gerber sizing?
I have never purchsed Gerber clothing... I just received a gift basket that is full of PJ's and onesies for 3-6 months, and I am not sure what the length for that is... anyone know? If not, I will just check a package next time I am shopping - I was just curious. Thanks!

Ideas for name for my business?
I have a small gift basket business. Ideas for a name??
--------------------
Ideally choose a name that describes whats your business offers or sells the most of. You can always change it later to try to get a better brand store but if its a new store, first try what i said above. If it is a small gift basket business you can try your name (ex Ashly's Gift Baskets). Go with what feels right to you.

Ideas for baby gift basket?
Hello my best friend is pregnant and she's having a girl so I want to surprise her by making a basket full of different things for her soon newborn. Can anyone pitch any ideas of what I can do or put in there?
--------------------
A basket is a good idea, I always like putting together an assortment of things too. Baby wash cloths Baby wash, lotion, powders, etc Pacifier Nipples for bottles A bottle brush (never can have to many, they tear up easily) Receiving blankets Booties A cute outfit A picture frame Baby Qtips Nail clippers Infant tylenol/motrin Diapers/wipes Little hair bows (in case she has hair..lol, they sale clip on bows at most stores) Some type of book (for mommy to read to baby) Socks Rattles/teething rings A blanket Really the possibilities are endless, you could really put any type of baby care item in the basket and they would come in handy, never can have to many.

Where can I get a medium sized wooden barrel...one that looks like a whiskey barrel?
I am making a "Beer & Whiskey" themed gift basket for someone and I need a medium sized barrel to use. Something that looks like a whiskey barrel, but not as huge, and I have no idea where I could go to buy one. Any suggestions?
--------------------
You can buy mini barrels on eBay or from http://www.1000oaksbarrel.com/. People use these to further mature whisk(e)y. Because they are smaller than the usual barrels used for maturation, a great proportion of the liquid is in contact with the wood surface and it matures faster.

Christmas gift for a guy?
Wanting to do a gift basket for a guy, but not sure what to use as the basket? I was planning to gather up a few of his favorite things . . . gift cards, candy, snacks, favorite team. But what would I put it in? I think a basket would be too girly. He works many hours, so dosent have time for a hobbie. I'm just stuck on this idea. Please help!
--------------------
Hmmm . . . a basket might not be too girly, if it would go with his decor. You could put the stuff in something else if you don't think that would work. Maybe inside of one of those plastic things that are used for storage or something, if you can't think of anything else. My advice: Use a rectangular basket without a handle over it; those can be used almost anywhere in the house to hold other random stuff. A wooden box might do too. I think they sell all this stuff at craft stores. Also, I see someone mentioned a backpack. If you have enough stuff to start to fill a backpack, that would be an excellent idea. Good luck!

How much is a kitten at the SPCA?
I was thinking of getting a kitten for my boyfriend at the Spca , and put the kitten in his valentines day gift basket, he said he was ready for a cat, cause his ran off, but What else could I put in there with the kitten.
--------------------
What else to give him along with the kitten would depend on what he has already. A giftcard to someplace like Petsmart would be a good idea, so he can get what he needs and not have a bunch of stuff he doesn't need. You could also take him to the SPCA and let him pick out a kitten. That way you know he'll like it.

How much should I tip for my services?
I got a gift basket valued at $150 for a haircut, blow dry & style, spa mani/pedi and also received salon haircare products in the basket. I assume the cut is around 50, mani/pedi around 50 and the products were 50 (shampoo, conditioner, hand cream and hairspray). What should I tip for the service(s) and should I tip separately for the hair stylist and manicurist?
--------------------
20% is the usual tip. so $30.

What would you prefer?
I make gift baskets and I wanted to know what people are most interested in. So pick a category! -Spa baskets (lotions, bath salts, bubble baths) -Gourmet baskets (cheese, crackers, wine) -Relaxation baskets (candles, chocolates, teas) I'm open to any ideas you might have!
--------------------
relaxtion baskets. also, a movie night basket theme might be neat too. you could put like a $5 giftcard to blockbuster or something, and like some microwavable popcorn and little candies and stuff. or you could even kinda put things from all three of your basket ideas into one, and have like bubble bath, candles, and wine. kind of an indulgent spa basket

Some ideas for gift bags for out of town wedding guests?
What are some things to include in a wedding welcome basket, for all my out of town guests? Every single one of my guests will be from out of town...if you where going to be spending a couple days in a city you've never been to, what kind of things would you want to know about, and what would make your stay a little more comfortable...?
--------------------
Snacks and drinks (because they'll mostly be relying on restaurant meals for their stay, might want something between meals.) In the past, we've gotten granola bars, M&Ms (you can get them personalized for the wedding), trail mix, that sort of thing. Also on the same line of food, a list of local places to eat (the hotel might have one they can copy for you.) It's always good to include a magazine or book of local attractions and/or a map, or the pamphlets for any major attractions. Also details and directions about all of the wedding and pre-wedding events (i.e. details on the rehearsal dinner, how to get to the reception, if there's a breakfast the morning after the wedding, etc.) You might want to ask one local friend or relative who isn't going to be too busy with the wedding if they'd be willing to have their phone number given out in case guests have local questions. (You don't want all the guests calling the bride or mother of the bride, who are busy with the wedding, to ask simple questions.) This works out great if you've got a friend who really knows the area who doesn't mind playing "tour guide" a little bit. We've also received wine or champagne (don't forget a corkscrew, at least one of the small ones, and maybe wine glasses or champagne flutes), a votive candle (with the typical wedding matchbook,) and golf tees with the couple's name (all the guys were invited to a round of golf the morning of the wedding while the girls got prettied up.) You could also try keeping an eye out on places like the $1 area in Target to see if there are any little things that match your wedding colors or theme.
