Any ideas???

We are sending my parents to Hawaii and for Christmas I wanted to make a sort of gift basket of things for them to take with them for their trip. I have a few things in mind like sunblock, a pair of flip flops, a beach towel, and dramamine....any one else have any ideas on what I can put in it? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

When my fiance and I went to Hawaii my Aunt went online and purchased tickets to a couple really neat events that were going on. It was an awesome gift! It might be fun to throw something like that in the basket. I would also suggest a cheap bag that they can bring to the beach...as unfortunate as it is, people easily pick up other people's bags on the beach, I made sure to bring one that was cute...but wouldn't hurt my feelings too much if lost/taken. I hope they have a great time!

I have never purchsed Gerber clothing... I just received a gift basket that is full of PJ's and onesies for 3-6 months, and I am not sure what the length for that is... anyone know? If not, I will just check a package next time I am shopping - I was just curious. Thanks!

Christmas gift for a guy?

Wanting to do a gift basket for a guy, but not sure what to use as the basket? I was planning to gather up a few of his favorite things . . . gift cards, candy, snacks, favorite team. But what would I put it in? I think a basket would be too girly. He works many hours, so dosent have time for a hobbie. I'm just stuck on this idea. Please help!

Hmmm . . . a basket might not be too girly, if it would go with his decor. You could put the stuff in something else if you don't think that would work. Maybe inside of one of those plastic things that are used for storage or something, if you can't think of anything else. My advice: Use a rectangular basket without a handle over it; those can be used almost anywhere in the house to hold other random stuff. A wooden box might do too. I think they sell all this stuff at craft stores. Also, I see someone mentioned a backpack. If you have enough stuff to start to fill a backpack, that would be an excellent idea. Good luck!

What else to give him along with the kitten would depend on what he has already. A giftcard to someplace like Petsmart would be a good idea, so he can get what he needs and not have a bunch of stuff he doesn't need. You could also take him to the SPCA and let him pick out a kitten. That way you know he'll like it.

I got a gift basket valued at $150 for a haircut, blow dry & style, spa mani/pedi and also received salon haircare products in the basket. I assume the cut is around 50, mani/pedi around 50 and the products were 50 (shampoo, conditioner, hand cream and hairspray). diapers wipes bath items, toys, blankets, washclothes, baby wash, towels infant tylenol, mylicon, neosporin; a health kit that has a thermometer, gum brush, hair brush, comb, etc. i think the little plaster molds you can buy to make hand or foot impressions are really neat and they aren't expensive baby book photo book gift card to the store she is registered at for items she doesn't get but needs; or if she isn't registered, to a baby store or one that carries a lot of baby items bottles if she is going to use them, bottle brush, drying rack, pacifiers (soothies are wonderful passys!) if she's getting a diaper genie, throw in a couple refills... some cloth prefold diapers for burp cloths, bibs.. some dye/frag free baby detergent or dreft... a 'piddle pad' and/or 'swaddle me' wraps by kiddopotamus (the wraps are wonderful! ) hope something there helps you

Some ideas for gift bags for out of town wedding guests?

What are some things to include in a wedding welcome basket, for all my out of town guests? Every single one of my guests will be from out of town...if you where going to be spending a couple days in a city you've never been to, what kind of things would you want to know about, and what would make your stay a little more comfortable...?

Snacks and drinks (because they'll mostly be relying on restaurant meals for their stay, might want something between meals.) In the past, we've gotten granola bars, M&Ms (you can get them personalized for the wedding), trail mix, that sort of thing. Also on the same line of food, a list of local places to eat (the hotel might have one they can copy for you.) It's always good to include a magazine or book of local attractions and/or a map, or the pamphlets for any major attractions. Also details and directions about all of the wedding and pre-wedding events (i.e. details on the rehearsal dinner, how to get to the reception, if there's a breakfast the morning after the wedding, etc.) You might want to ask one local friend or relative who isn't going to be too busy with the wedding if they'd be willing to have their phone number given out in case guests have local questions. (You don't want all the guests calling the bride or mother of the bride, who are busy with the wedding, to ask simple questions.) This works out great if you've got a friend who really knows the area who doesn't mind playing "tour guide" a little bit. We've also received wine or champagne (don't forget a corkscrew, at least one of the small ones, and maybe wine glasses or champagne flutes), a votive candle (with the typical wedding matchbook,) and golf tees with the couple's name (all the guys were invited to a round of golf the morning of the wedding while the girls got prettied up.) You could also try keeping an eye out on places like the $1 area in Target to see if there are any little things that match your wedding colors or theme.
