GIFT BASKETS!! HELP!!?
I am making bath and body gift baskets this Christmas for the females. Where can I buy body washes, lotions, scrubs...etc, for a decent price? I'm looking to buy in bulk, because I have about 20 baskets to make... Any advice. Thanks!! :)

Try Avon...they have been around for a long time and have great specials. You can even mix and match your creams ,soaps and lotions. They also have other cute little things you can add to the baskets to make them each a little more personal. I love your idea by the way ...I was wondering what to get the girls in the office !

Homemade Gift Baskets?
I want to make my mom and sister a homemade gift basket. I want to fill it with homemade items. Things such as body scrubs and other items that they can pamper themselves with. I just need some ideas of things I can make myself.

I make & sell soaps, bath salts, and bath cookies and it is so much fun to make & give! Let me share a site with you I found, it has recipes for all the things you mentioned, in e-book form. If you have a Hobby Lobby near you & are interested in soaps, they have great prices on soap bases & molds, as well as colors & scents. Good luck! Here's the link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/2540259/504-Re

Ideas for gift baskets at a preschool auction event?
I need some ideas for suggestions for the following types of gift baskets. 1) "Manicure and Pedicure" themed gift basket. 2) "Children's Outdoor Fun" themed gift basket. 3) "Children's Favorite Books" themed gift basket. 4) "Campers Backpack" themed gift basket. 5) "Movie Night" themed gift basket. 6) "Bath Time" themed gift basket. 7) "Children's Art Supplies" themed gift basket. 8) "Bug Collecting and Gardening" themed gift basket. These themed baskets are for a preschools auction and we are giving parents a few suggestions for their donations. Each class has it's own themed basket. The ages of our schoolers are from 18 months to 4 years. I have come up with quite a bit on my own but feel I may be missing something. I am looking for some unique ideas. Thanks for every-ones help

Take a class on making gift baskets, or google it. Selling gift baskets online is a real popular thng. Dont worry about the packing yourself. Take it to the postoffice and ask then to help ya. Make sure you wantch em and maybe the next time you'll be able to do it. Or take it to a packing place, purchase the packing materials and ask them to shoulw you hw to do it. There always happy to do that aslong as they dont have to do it them selves.

Gift Boxes or Gift Baskets?
Do you prefer to get a gift box, or gift basket? Which one in your opinion looks better?
--------------------
I actually like gift baskets. They just look neat all wrapped up, allowing you to peek at the goodies inside, yet stay wrapped with the nice bow, etc. And even if you open them, you can often re-tie them to keep their nice appearance. There are a bunch here that rock, as examples: http://gift-gallery.us Now a box, once you open it, that's it. You find out what's inside, but it doesn't have that festive look any longer with the wrapping.

My only suggestion would be to include photo's of the contents of the basket! Are your candles from the 99 cent store, or are they le"occitaine( know they are not le occitaine as they are expensive, but you get the idea) What brand are the bath products? Maybe you could do an inventory sheet with products you can include in each basket. Like for example a coffee basket could have: Luxe Basket starbucks french vanilla coffee 2 mugs a french press Godiva chocolates biscotti Back To School Basket Morning Blend (ground at local grocery store) 1 mug mug warmer home baked cookies

Easter gift baskets , ideas, please help?
I want to get my boyfriend's brother and sister a easter gift basket, any ideas of what I could get them, the girl is 12 and the boy is 8. I know it's early , but I want to have ideas ready. Thanks and have a nice day.
--------------------
spring time outside kind of toys like jumpropes, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and kites. You can really fill up a basket with a cute kite! They make bubbles that are not just the regular little bottle of bubbles, but something an older child or boy might like, with fancy looking wands to blow a zillion bubbles at once. Squirt guns if you dare! Could be fun. And since they eat a lot of Easter candy, a really fun toothbrush is actually kind of cool. They make them now that play tunes while you brush, like from High School Musical or Hanna Montana (guaranteed the 12 year old will like.) My kids love the kind of candy you can only get at Easter, like Creme Eggs and Peeps.

There are many ways to wrap a gift basket. 1. You can buy cello bags that are the appropriate size for your basket. They are easy, once you finish the basket you just place it in the bag and tie off the top with a ribbon. 2. You can use cello rolls. These are good if you can't find bags in the right size they are still fairly simple to use, just cut the size you want set the basket in the middle and gather the edges at the top. 3. Some people also use shrink wrap this is a similar process to the cello rolls except once the basket is wrapped you use a heat gun to shrink the wrapping down for a secure fit. In terms of bows, I'd recommend trying curling ribbon its easy to curl and you can use a lot of fun colors. If you are set on a larger bow but don't know how to tie them pull bow make it very easy, you can buy them to be a specific size or on a reel so you can make your own size. Hope this helps and you have a happy Valentine's day.

Out of town gift baskets?
A bunch of family members are coming from out of town to a wedding in November. I want to have some gift baskets at the hotel when they arrive. What should I put in the baskets? I'm thinking a map of the area, a few bottles of water, cookies/muffins, a thank you note for coming, and a list of phone numbers of family members.
--------------------
For out of towners the map, water and food are great ideas as well as the thank you notes. However, you may want to include lists of places to visit while in the area and you may want to include a few little things like a travel toothbrush set, some razors things that people may forget. I would not put in a contact list people will be going nuts already. You don't need the extra headaches.

Making a gift basket and sending it from NYC to LA?
My friend's birthday is in May and I live in NYC. he lives in Cali. LA. He enjoys coffee very much but gift baskets online are soo so so expensive. I thought maybe I'd make one myself and send it to him. Do you think that would be even more expensive? would it arrive there in one piece or would it break?
--------------------
Shouldnt be too expensive. If you go to the post office they'll show you different box sizes to choose from and the cost of sending it. Fed Ex would cost a little more. Put the basket in a box.Wrap anything breakable in bubble wrap and fill the box with some foam "peanuts". (wrap the basket in celophane before boxing if u don't want the peanuts in it.)

That's a fun idea! Make a theme basket. If he is into coffee, send him biscotti, some Sugar in the Raw packets, some wooden stirrers (You can snag these from a Starbucks :P) a ToGo coffee traveler and a cheap CD..

some cute socks, maybe a foot-themed basket with lotion, polish, etc for my feet. They have socks infused with aloe that are heavenly. You could do an office/school themed basket with pens, notecards, stationary, stamps, markers. A sewing kit basket with needles, thread, patches, scissors, some cute scraps of fabric, buttons. And this is my favorite because it's on sale right now: a breadbox is the gift basket http://www.lillianvernon.com/catalog/pro and inside you put a fresh loaf of bakery bread, and maybe some spreads and jams.
