Why is it that Hollywood's liberals see no problem with squandering millions of $$ while people die of hunger?

For each $20,000 "gift basket" they receive at the Oscars they could feed a starving family in Africa for a year. Why do you think they have no problem claiming that they are liberal and support socialism but yet hoard millions of dollars for themselves while the rest of the world suffers?

Is it possible to love someone that you have only talked with (for over a year) via the phone and net?

I find myself falling in love with a very wonderful man that I have only chatted with over the net and by phone. He calls me every other day and I call him on the days he doesn't call me. We talk anywhere from 20 minutes to 45 minutes (long distance). He sends me wonderful gifts, such as flowers, gift baskets, electronical items, etc. He and I are planning to meet for the first time later this year. I am excited about meeting him, but nervous at the same time. My heart is happy when talking with him, but my stomach has butterflies about meeting him. Let me know what you think about this.

I don't think you can truly love someone you have never met in person because it is easy for a total psycho and misfit to become the smoothest Cassanova behind the keyboard or on the phone. Sounds to me more like you're falling in love with the mental image you've built of this man. Unfortunately this does not mean that he truely is the right one for you or that you two could really enjoy a good relationship. My best advice to you is to wait and see how things turn out after you've met this man in person and have gotten in a few dates IN PERSON.

My boyfriend's in college and he's busted his leg. What type of gift basket should I send him?

He's 4 hours north of me so it has to be able to send well or sent from the company to him. He's tough, plays football, etc. so it can't be in the least bit frilly. How do I mix uncut body oil?

I plan to sell gift baskets over the holidays the body oils that I plan to use are uncut. I wanted to know if I have to mix the oils with the fillers and I have an 8oz bottle how much oil should I mix with the filler? Exact measure is not not necessary just a rough estimate.

I usually add about 10 drops pure essential oil to about 8 ozs of filler oil. You have to add the scent oil then let it sit in a dark place for a day or so in order to smell the full scent result. It also will depend on the scent. You just have to experiment.

I would put in a collection of nice, fancy, organic soaps (the expensive kind people wouldn't buy for themselves), like unique organic/all natural laundry detergent and bathroom hand soap, etc. They always smell so good and come in such pretty bottles, but are practical too. And they would kind of go with the towel/basket theme!

I would say the basics! Paper clips (small and big), binder clips, post it notes, pencils, markers, colored pens for corrections, pink erasers, and maybe a nice "on the desk" item to hold any pens and pencils so that it they always have a place for quick access. And find the cute stuff that the kids would like, or classy stuff that anyone will like. Either way, its a great help because the kids will always "forget" to return anything borrowed.

Don't do anything to complicated, he is probably going to be real tired from the traveling/time zone changes. So you know, maybe a nice soft easy dinner. Nothing spectacular, he is probably just happy to be home! 3. Be happy to see him!! Have a nice long chat about what he did, but again not too much pressure lol 4. let him do what he wants really. From personal experience, catalogs can widely vary in conversion rates usually most dependent on the delivery method. The most successful use I have seen of a printed catalog is the inclusion in a shipped (or delivered) item. I believe it is extremely important to include additional sales opportunities in any shipments of packages, more so when the company is strictly an online company. If I were spending dollars on a "cold" campaign with catalogs, I would definitely target the supply & wholesale side of things versus the consumer. This is a much narrower market and would likely yield a better result. That said, you will be shopped based on price more so than the consumer experience. One strategy would be to target smaller resellers who may have not developed the volume needed to warrant bulk pricing from larger wholesalers. Spray small rectangular or 9x9 square baking pan with non-stick spray. Chop or mash banana. Combine with flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, oil, milk, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips to this mixture OR save them to add as topping, sprinkling on top of mixture after poured into the pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Isabellas (Oatmeal Cookies) 1 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/4 cups flour 1 1/2 cups oats Dash salt, optional Powdered Sugar Cream butter and sugar until light. Mix in vanilla, then flour, oats and salt. Chill thoroughly. Shape into small balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork, crisscrossing. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-18 minutes (depending on your oven). Sprinkle with Powdered Sugar

I am trying to decide how I should go about approaching the businesses. Should I just show up with a flyer and a box of samples if they have time to view them. Or should I do cold calling first I know I do not have the resources at the time to do mailers or a e-mail blast. Could you please advise on cost effective methods to get my business out there

Is this the right market to be starting up business in that industry? Are you wanting to do this in your local area only? I would find the larger real estate agencies and give them fliers. The office then delivers the flier to everyone in their office, as they have their own mail slot. I would also create a Facebook group/page and ask the local real estate agents to join, then you can post pictures and market to them.

What state are you in? I would have to know that before I could answer... My state (town) has several differant organizations helping people with ThanksGiving and Christmas. If I were you I would open up your yellow pages in your phone book and call EVERY church listed until you find the one's that are helping. You can also call your local Health Department and ask them of any services helping low income familes during the holidays, They may know of some. Good luck!!!
