my mom has this great gift basket site and she had it up for a couple months but no hits. she has been working extremely hard on this. if i told you the site would you please at least look at it and maybe order if you wish.
--------------------
A) why don't you just post the website name & URL? B) maybe your mom's site needs to have business cards made and handed out to organizations so THEY can order from there for special occasions or for their clients C) maybe your mom's site needs some tweaking - it's never hurt to ask for some constructive criticism, especially if it makes it better.

What to put in guest "welcome" packages in hotel rooms?
Most of my fiance's family is coming from across the country and will be staying in a local hotel. I would like to put small gift baskets in each of their rooms to welcome them to my small town. Any suggestions on budget friendly things to put in the baskets?
--------------------
You might put stuff in there that show off your town/state's heritage. For example, I'm from Texas, and most of my guests are from out of state, too (yes, I'm also planning a wedding). I plan on filling one gift basket per room with two bottles of Dublin Dr Pepper, a jar of locally made salsa, homemade tortilla chips, a bandanna, and anything else I can think of that reflects my town and state's culture. I'm also planning on putting in a little homemade brochure with a map in it, with landmarks and information on local tourist attractions, places to eat, and other sites of interest (like where my fiance proposed, etc), transportation, and of course the wedding and reception locations.

how much should i charge a dozen for my gourmet all natural dog treats?
my town is small and there not alot of places to shop so im selling dog treats and gift baskets new puppy baskets, christmas baskets, doggy day spa baskets, and best freind baskets. whats a proper price. im going to distribute flyers with liitle samples attached in the high end neighborhoods, they got the money.
--------------------
I'd price check. Look online and see how much it would cost them to get the same thing shipped, then charge a little less. Without much greater detail of what city, what income level, and what the treats are specifically, we aren't going to be able to help you. Good luck!

Don't you think this is a terrible gift idea for baby shower?
My friend wants to get one-share-of-Disney-stock for our friend's baby shower because "It's so cute!" I told her it's a terrible gift because one-share is useless and now she's upset with me. She has been giving only Disney items to all our friends' birthdays since she started working there. She thinks it's justified because she didn't get those stuff for free. It's not about the price of the gifts! The problem is that she gives them out without considering the recipients. She just expect everyone likes Disney. My group of friends are around early 30s and I found it very immature of her to have given me a Minnie Mouse doll for Christmas. Anyway, do you think one-share-of-Disney-stock is a good idea? Does any parents out there actually WANT that gift? Any gift sugguestion? Would you prefer something practical, like a gift basket filled with dipers and baby toiletories?
--------------------
I agree with you....get her the gift basket. Put your name on THAT gift and let your friend do the Disney thing if she wants. Be seperate in your gifts..... Practical will be appreciated....and I am sure they will think the Disney stock is cute. I wouldn't want to put my name on that gift....the Disney stock if it was not worth that much. It's a gift that LOOKS like more than it is and, if what you say is right, it's not worth the paper it's printed on! Good luck....and don't sweat the small stuff!

Why do processed cheeses only need refrigeration after the package is opened?
I'm thinking of the packages of cheese wedges (Laughing Cow), and also things like the cheese balls that come in holiday gift baskets. They don't need to be refrigerated until the package is opened, then they do. Why is that?
--------------------
I think because you are letting air in and starting the bacteria growth. just a guess.

Bunco gift basket ideas?
My mom's birthday is coming up soon and I would like to make her a gift basket. She plays bunco, but I don't, so I'd love to have some recommendations about what I could put in a bunco-themed gift basket (and where to find the items!).
--------------------
Really the only things needed to play a game is some dice, paper& pen (for scoring) , & some players. I have seen doorprizes given that all had a :dice: theme. Like a t0shirt w dice on the front. Maybe some of the giant foam dice from the 60s , Perhaps a few other dice games , like Yahtzee , for instance. A rabbits foot or something else related to licjck, as Bunco is a game of mostly luck. Maybe a few snack type things thrown in for good measure. As for stores, I would try Toys R Us. maybe Spencer's Giftsor even a magic tore (magicians supplie) Good Luck !!

Is there such a thing as a kind of funny first aid guidebook for college students? What would it be?
I'm putting together graduation gift baskets and I have a funny one for a laundry one and possibly a food type one, but I can't find one on first aid and I would just love one.
--------------------
I believe you would want a kind of "First Aid [For Dummies]", but i don't know if such thing exists.

Gift for grandmother in-law for Christmas?
So my 85 year old grandma in law has everything she could ever want/need. In the past I've given her candle sticks, picture frames, gift baskets of tea and things like that. I am TOTALLY out of ideas. Same question for my 90 year old grandfather(not in law). I'm very frustrated and have given up on thinking. Any ideas please???? No perfumes or soaps, or colognes-its been done. Thanks!
--------------------
If she's still capable of getting around and doing things, I suggest getting her a pedicure or something of that sort. I know my grandmother's feet tend to get very rough and dry. And she absolutely loves the pampering she recieves!

What's the difference between Shower Gel and Body Wash?
I got one of those holiday gift baskets and it has both. What's the difference?
--------------------
Technically, a vast majority of "soaps" on the market aren't actually soap; they're detergent. Anytime you see an ingredient that sounds anything remotely like "sodium laryl sulfate", you're looking at a detergent. True soap is only made with lye and fat, which will be listed as "saponified oils". The difference between shower gel, most soap, and body wash is consistency and targeted marketing.

I bought blue cheese yesterday for my parents, and I forgot to put it in the fridge( I wrapped it)?
I put it in a gift basket along with several other foods (but of course nothing like meat or fish, rather crackers and cheese) It's been out for almost two days, will it be... okay? (for tomorrow)
--------------------
yes, it's already mouldy. I'ts blue cheese and tastes better when room temp anyway, seriosuly I come from Cheddar in UKm and they make blue cheeses there as part of teh school curriculum, every pub has blue cheese of its' own. You're fine. PS It is really good on toast- cheese on toast with blue cheese ( under the brouiler flame). Love it.

A gift for my bosses? They have been understanding of my injury.?
I am a 22 year old full time student, and part time employee of an aquarium. A month ago I stupidly fell down a flight of stairs and broke my ankle in the process. I had to cancel my shifts at work for about 3 weeks and then make some conditions about my return. I am on crutches and wearing an orthopedic 'walking boot' and was told I'm not to stand at work by my doctor. Well everybody stands at their particular post for a shift. I was told that they would allow me to be the greeter at the entrance and they would give me a chair. They did indeed. Since I'm not allowed to drive they were also mindful of the fact I could only work open to 5 PM shifts on weekends since I was dependent on rides from my dad. Then there is also the issue of uniforms. Right before my injury they opened a new exhibit so the uniform temporarily changed from orange polos and black pants to a t-shirt that said 'Aquarium Staff' and had the exhibit logo on the back, and khaki shorts/pants. So I wore my khaki shorts with no problem. Now however, the uniform is briefly going back to the old one until summer hours. Since I can't put on pants over my boot, the managers said I can wear the orange shirt and the tan shorts. Finally, I just found out that despite my best efforts, the bone slipped and will not heal on its own. So now I need surgery. I informed them I will be back out of work for a few more weeks after that happens. They said 'Get better, and if you have any health issues like pain or swelling while working your scheduled shifts, tell us and you can go home for the day. Just tell us when you can return'. So I am blown away by their understanding of my problem. Mostly its these two managers, and a couple team leads in particular. Still there are lots of team leads, and I want a gift for the managers and those 2. Whats a good joint gift? Fruit basket or something? And can I give a gift for 4 people out of say 8? Because after all I haven't worked with all them when I returned? Or should I give individual gifts? or something for everybody including those who didn't get to work with me yet?

mommies i need help with this situation...gift giving for a step child?
my husband has a really good friend that has a son from his first marriage, he is now remarried and has 3 kids with his (now) wife, i know he has his son sometimes, i don't know the arrangement, he never discusses it, i know he doesn't have him full-time, we just started (this year) trading b.d. gifts, so i assume we will trade Christmas gifts too, so do i buy gifts for his son too? i'm not planning on getting anything big for them, i was actually gonna give them a whole family gift, they are really outdoorsy so i was thinking something like a family plaque, or a sundae gift making basket, Photo-Opoly Personalized Board Game, something for the whole family, so as a mom would you get upset if your husbands friends bought your step child a gift? or would you get upset if they didn't include him? as a mom would you buy him a gift, because it's not fair to give a gift to the others and not him, but our friend and his 1st wife don't get along well at all, so i don't want to cause trouble between her and him by giving their son a gift, so as a mom, what would you do? we've been friends with him for 4 yrs, we knew his first wife, and she never liked any of his friends, so she doesn't like us as it is. and they fight a lot, i don't want to cause a fight between them, so....thank you so much.

i say screw the ex wife, what kind of mom doesn't want her kid to get stuff, if you go with a family gift, i love the photo-opoly game, we have one, then just put him on it too. so that there is no doubt.

a pack of diapers. you dont even know how handy and helpful its going to be for her to have as many diapers as she can get. this means no running to the store because she ran out early, less money she has to spend on diapers a huge help. heres a few other ideas *pack of diaper wipes *bottle warmer for in the car *bottles brushes to clean bottles *first aid kit (if she doesn't already have one) *changing pad to keep in diaper bag if her diaper bag didn't come with one *diaper bag if she doesnt have one of those packed with the things a mom would put in the diaper bag *formula divider. (its a circular bowl pretty much which lets her put 4 proportions of formula in it without having to take the whole can of formula when she goes somewhere... i found this really helpful) *certificates to small restaurants since she might not be feeling all that up for cooking *boppy pillow replacement cover if shes using one an extra would be nice to keep on hand in case baby spits up on it *baby tylenol or other medications a small baby might need. *lotions, soaps, powders, diaper rash creme... stuff like that *baby gift card to wal mart or somewhere in case there is something last minute she needs that no one thought of... just a few ideas... hopefully you find some use out of the list...

Cooking with Apple Butter?
This Christmas I received a Harry and David gift basket from my uncle. The basket came with goodies, coffees, and a jar of Apple Butter. I tried it on toast and honestly thought it was disgusting. I love apples, applesauce, and butter so I was dissapointed. Does anyone have any great pork or chicken recipes for a picky eater?
