I have to go to a high up company tomorrow for work and I have to raffle off something to them. I don't know what to get, I was going to make a gift basket, but I don't know of what. I usually do a movie bucket w/ a DVD and popcorn and candies, but I don't think that will be of much interest to these people... IDEAS PLEASE ASAP!!!

flowers are always a nice but common. Your can give them a basket with different things: coffee basket tea basket cookie basket chocolate basket all things you could buy at cost plus including basket...

What's wrong with a four year old boy giving four year girl old a valentine's gift??
it's this little girl in my son's class that loves my son, and the teachers think it's cute, they take pictures together and sit next to each other everyday.. so valentines day is near and there having a party at school.. do you see anything wrong with my son giving her a gift,, its a stuffed dog in a basket with little candy hearts.. and the rest of the class will get a bag with little candy hearts in it.. my husband said it's wrong that i'm starting something???????
--------------------
There's nothing wrong with it. You are helping your son learn about friendships with girls, a fine art. Friendships are different with boys and girls. It's sad that men are taught that to have a friendship with a woman it has to be sexual. They are taught that from such a young age. It's ridiculous. It sounds like you have the makings of a real gentleman.

Is this giftbag a good idea as a corporate gift?
I thought Id do a bag instead of basket, On an eco bag, that they can reuse. With the logo of the company Gourmet goodies inside, maybe with the logo frosted onto the glass jars Nice scented candles, with the logo somehow put onto the candle (any ideas how?) And any other ideas for what to put in it? Theres no budget, but obviously not something super expensive. And suitable for anyone...young or old, male or female etc.
--------------------
If you want to go the eco way and brand your gift giving make sure you think it through. A soy candle http://www.promopeddler.com/05-75/glycer or natural glycerin soap will back up your plan to be earth friendly http://www.promopeddler.com/08-57/candle

Destination Wedding: How to do welcome gifts?
We are travelling to St Thomas for our wedding, and everyone, including us, will arrive together. I think a welcome gift basket or something would be a very nice way to kick off the weekend, but I can't figure out how to do this...I'd like drinks and snacks, maybe suntan lotion and stuff, but how do I transport all that there, and how do I get it to their rooms? There would be about 10-15 baskets...that's not realistic for airline travel packed in suitcases. Maybe another idea to welcome our friends and family?
--------------------
It just too much trouble. Plus many hotels will charge you individual delivery fees to put it in each guests' room. Plus the pain inthe butt of people needing to take an extra piece of luggage home. Skip it. Or, right after people RSVP yes, send TO THEIR HOME thru the mail a sort of traveller's packet of information, maps, directions, etc, along with a little treat and lotions, as a prelude to the trip. Like, in a bubble mailer envelope.

okay, so my lil sis and I figured out how to make a personalized journal, now we want more...?
She has now been invited to two different birthday parties and has decided that she wants to make personal gift baskets for the two birthday girls. She is going to make a personalized journal for each and buy them a special pen each, she wants to make the rest of the stuff but what are some ideas she can do for them? She thought of sun mobiles but how would we make a sun mobile? Thanks again, she's getting too crafty for my non-creative genese LOL!
--------------------
Ok if your sis has a pic of her and the friend she is going to the party for then she could make a frame and insert the picture. She could buy some regular pens and a silk flower. Pop the flower off the stem hot glue it to the end that doesnt write. Wrap floral tape around the pen and there you have a floral pen. She could also use little pom poms or feathers for this. If she has the paper should could make envelopes and fold some paper to go with them for a little stationary set. She can do handmade cards, make bookmarks (cut the paper to size, hole punch the top, and use ribbon to tie through the punched hole) decorate the book mark and there you go. I hope these ideas help and get you girls going .... have fun .... that's a part of the creative process...**hugs**

I need help thinking of good christmas gifts for an 11 mouth girl ?
My school does christmas baskets every year. That means each class homeroom get a family donated by a church and the family members are divided up by the class. I got an 11 mouth old girl and i need good gift ideas. keep in mind they are kind of poor so they also need necessities gifts such as a blanket.
--------------------
I'm assuming that you do mean "months" and not "mouths" and I suggest that you get some clothes that are a bit bigger in age so she can get some decent use out of them as well as clothes that are suitable for next year, like summer clothes. Also as you suggested a blanket is a nice idea as well as a cuddly toy. What about a few items of non perishable food as well. This would benefit the family as well. Good luck.

Question on a gift for my boyfriend for our 1 year?
OK. So I'm making him a tiny book of a poem i wrote him and placing that in the middle of a basket with gifts surrounding it. The gifts around it are memories numbered 1-12 (one for each month). The gifts are small and correspond with the memory from the past year. Then the 13th gift is [ultra super cheesy part] for memories to be. Is it too much? Also, I want to add song lyrics to the end of the book. Any good songs that you know of to fit the bill? Aiming for more of an alternative or punk rock song if possible. Thanks guys! :]

i have a cool idea. what i did for me and my x bf's 1 year is made a "365 reasons why I love___" scrap book. its good because it is just you and him stuff. no one else can share the memories etc. and it really takes time and thought and it shows you care idk, i made it a little scrap book and added pictures/tickets form things we say/did together and some other stuff...i forgot. our ideas are similar. maybe you can incorperate them somehow? idk...just a though not sure thoug.. good luck!

What do I do with all these baskets?
We are holding a benefit for my sister who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. It is at a bar. We have had many many donations from local businesses and have put them into baskets to raffle off. The problem is, we have 15 baskets! What are some other ideas on how to give the donations out, but still make money? One idea I had is, take 3 or 4 gift certs and after the baskets go off, combine all the rest of the tickets, and then pull from there. I have a few other ideas, but because the benefit is at a bar, I just dont think that the ideas and alcohol go together! lol. So please, any ideas??
--------------------
I like the silent auction idea. The number one most important thing is going to be to get the word out about this benefit event. It wouldn't be good if you're giving away $500 worth of baskets if you only make $200 on raffle tickets! If you do go the raffle route, have every basket out on display ahead of time. Draw one ticket at a time, and the winner comes up and picks the basket that they want the most. Keep drawing names until all the baskets/gift cards are gone. (There's only one catch to this idea - this only works if everyone who bough a raffle ticket is actually there! If not, you'll need a different idea.) I wish your sister a successful recovery. Hard times for her, you, and your family, I know.

Raffles... Silent Auctions... Um... Just a big "Donation" jar... Your idea of individual baskets and then one MASS raffle is a VERY good idea... Here is a list of types of Auctions... You might get some inspirations from there... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auction What about having the bar tack on an extra $0.25 to each drink purchased at the fundraiser and donate that amount on top of what you raise at auction? Um... What else? You could auction off dates with hot guys and girls... This used to be a premise used on TV Shows in the 90's... You get taken out to dinner by a hotty... Bake Sale? Well... I hope I helped and I wish your sister well. My cousin (18) just finished chemo and treatment for his Leukemia and he is now healthy so don't think that you are alone or that all is lost... Leukemia is survivable! *HUG*

Does the event have to be at a bar ? That excludes sections of the community like underage kids and mothers with small children. Couldn't you hold it some place where everyone can join in. You could also consider auctioning baskets as a way to make money.

Gift idea to go with wash cloths?
I have my Aunt's name for Christmas. To start the present off, I knitted wash cloths for each season. I need to spend about $20 more. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe kitchen potpourri or something in a basket? Not sure where to get that stuff or if it's even a good idea. Any ideas welcome!

What is a good gift to give a family?
I have 2 families I'd like to give presents to. One has 4 kids, another has 3. Any kind of non-cliche gift would be nice... the whole fruit basket or cookie platter is so bleh. I'm not opposed to food gifts, just something different or a way to spice up those traditional, cliche family gifts.
--------------------
maybe instead of the traditional gift basket of fruit and cookies, you can do like a "family night" theme. put some popcorn, a deck of cards, a movie or two, maybe pick up a board game or a puzzle, things that they can all do together. you can find TONS of different games at your local retailer (walmart , target, etc), you can get a few for not alot of money. throw in a disposable camera so they can document it. you can write "family nights only" on it.

Prize idea for diaper raffle at baby shower?
My friend is having a diaper raffle at her shower, as well as being registered. She is scared she wont have enough diapers hence the registry and the diapers. Does anyone have a good prize idea for the raffle? She doesnt want to spend over the amount that diapers would cost in the first place, seeing that not everyone will participate. So what $ amount should the prize be, and WHAT SHOULD IT BE? p.s. her friends are non-alcohol and non-coffee drinking people (we were thing a gift basket or gift certificates)

guys, homemade gift ideas?
we have been picked this year to get a gift for my father in law. i am refusing to just go out and buy yet more consumer crap, so we are making all of our gifts. i am really, really stumped on this one though. he likes his Hemi, expensive electronic toys, golf, hockey, and showing off his money. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. food isnt really an option as we make goodie baskets every year for everyone with cookies, jam, and jerky in them.

can up or some one sew? I made towels and such for kitchen, pot holders, etc and the left over had me stumped... the towel square pieces I sewed together in a 3 thickness and folded it over and sewed one side..so my husband and son got this hand mitt thing to wipe off the inside window of their cars...we are in WA and there is always moisture on the inside window.

I think what you have already is a wonderful idea! But if you want to add more, maybe tickets to a movie she wants to see, a compilation cd that you made (or one bought) or movie that she likes, maybe a book or magazine for her to read if she likes those things.

When companies refer to a flagship product, that is usually their top of the line, their best offering.
