We are holding a benefit for my sister who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. It is at a bar. We have had many many donations from local businesses and have put them into baskets to raffle off. The problem is, we have 15 baskets! What are some other ideas on how to give the donations out, but still make money? One idea I had is, take 3 or 4 gift certs and after the baskets go off, combine all the rest of the tickets, and then pull from there. I have a few other ideas, but because the benefit is at a bar, I just dont think that the ideas and alcohol go together! lol. So please, any ideas??

I like the silent auction idea. The number one most important thing is going to be to get the word out about this benefit event. It wouldn't be good if you're giving away $500 worth of baskets if you only make $200 on raffle tickets! If you do go the raffle route, have every basket out on display ahead of time. Draw one ticket at a time, and the winner comes up and picks the basket that they want the most. Keep drawing names until all the baskets/gift cards are gone. (There's only one catch to this idea - this only works if everyone who bough a raffle ticket is actually there! If not, you'll need a different idea.) I wish your sister a successful recovery. Hard times for her, you, and your family, I know.
