I need some idel for a baby shower gift basket?

as to what put in it.... i'm going baby shower next week i thought it would be Nice to make basket of stuff she may need but not sure what put in it. she don't what know if boys are Girl so a need color that would work for both?
--------------------
I love making gift baskets! Depending on how much you want to spend, you could make a few different baskets.... Here are some ideas of what to put in the basket...... Note: (Basket could be a small laundry basket, so that the new mom can keep baby clothes separate). Baby laundry soap (The brand "Dreft" is specially formulated to take out baby formula and other stains), Stain remover spray (Dreft makes one too), baby clothes hangers, A calendar (for mommy to write down "firsts" and keep track of doctor appointments, books or magazines about parenting, baby clothes, receiving blankets, baby wash cloths, baby shampoo and lotions, diapers (assorted sizes), baby bottles, pacifiers, nail care kit for babies, rash cream, toys, baby hair comb set, a baby bath towel for bath time, rattles, teething rings, rubber duckies, extra nipples for bottles, house cleaning solutions or sprays that remove crayon, baby blankets, onsies, crib sheets, and anything else you can find that is baby related! I like to wrap my basket in those basket bags...but if I get a laundry basket to throw all the items in, I find a box large enough to put the laundry basket in and then wrap the box. If you'd like, you can get a small gift bag and write "To Mommy" on it and include some bath products, perfume, make-up, or other beauty items that are just for the mom to be. This will make her feel special too! If you don't know the sex of the baby, try going with yellows and pastel green colors for the baby outfits you buy. Have fun at the shower! Be sure to congratulate the mom and let her know you are excited for her!

I am making a gift basket with the shrinking bags....HELP!!!?

This is my first time making a gift basket so I need some help. I am making a teacher basket with a lot of sweets, candy etc. When I tie the bag,do I keep air in the bag or do I try to get all the air out before i tie it shut? Thanks so much.
--------------------
It doesn't really matter how much air is in the bag. I always start from the bottom of a basket and work my way up. It makes a better seal around the container that way. Just use your hair dryer on the highest setting. Good Luck!

Gift Basket Business- Help?

I need help with ideas for an old business that I want to start up again only as a side job and hobby. I use to work with my aunt at her own shop making gift baskets for just about any occasion you can mention ( I even got privledged to make a divorce basket once ). Well I am feeling the crafty part of myself again after visiting a hobby store the other day and realized the great need for the baskets in our town, I would like for someone to help come up with some creative name for a gift basket business. My name is Danielle, thats pretty much the only detail I think you would need for creative names. Anyway, does anyone have suggestins for the business? Should I buy in bulk or start slowly? ETC.. Thanks for the help
--------------------
I also have a business. I buy tons of stuff after every holiday and put it away for next year. That way I don't have to wait for the holiday things to come out and then have to rush to put things together. Real estate agents were good about ordering a few at a time until the market fell. Baby showers are another big seller for me. I actually have a machine embroidery business so I personalize most gift baskets. Check online for the wrappings and fillers. You can make your own bows too. I don't always use baskets, sometimes I use plates or anything that will hold a few things. Good luck!

Baby Shower Gift Basket - What to put in it?

My cousin is due in September so she's going to be having her baby shower soon. Rather than buying her one big thing, I was thinking of buying a basket and putting a bunch of baby things it it. I could spend $30 - $40 bucks. I'm only 17 so I don't know what else to put in her basket besides baby powder, baby shampoo and lotion and onesies. Do you guys have any other ideas? Thanks! (:
--------------------
If she knows she is having a boy, an All Blacks Newborn Gift Set is really, really cute - booties, hat, etc. If you buy that, it's all done for you. Nicely packaged, with a bow and a gift card. If she is having a girl, there are lots of lovely girly things you can put in the basket - a cute pink onesie, pink lamb toy, pretty baby bootees, etc. Ultimately, whatever you give her will be appreciated. Or you could do something different and buy HER a gift. You could shop online at Shopenzed.com and give her a lovely sterling silver charm bracelet with one charm on it, and that would be within your price bracket. There are some really cute sterling silver charms, like the Angel of Love, Angel of Protection, baby bootees, baby carriage, dummy, etc. Then she can add to it if she has more kids or to mark another special chapter in her life. All the best!

To start a gift basket making out of my home do I need any food permits since I will not be opening or cooking

If I do decide to cut into fruit where would I apply to get a food permit? I think staying with packaged items will be easier then I just need a tax number. Correct?

You need to check with your County Health Department for this information. Since you did not provide your state or city, I can not check this out for you. But, just type in your county name and Health department into yahoo or google search and see if their site comes up. I know my county health department posts all of the food regulations on their site. Hope this helps and good luck.

ordering a custom made gift basket?

I am looking to order online a custom made gift basket. I have searched many internet site and could not find a website that lets you custom make a gift basket with wine, cheese, choclate, and cookies. If anyone has ordered a custom gift basket and liked the results when it arrived please let me know. Thanks
--------------------
Ordering something like this over the internet is a little bit lazy if you ask me, but that is just my opinion. the best way to get exactly what you want, look through the phone book, and you will find it, call them up, and that way, you know you are getting what you are asking for. Hope this helps, and good luck.

What is a great holiday food gift basket for a family of 4 - mom, dad and 2 kids?

I was looking into something kind of sweet or salty. I checked out the popcorn factory, and fanny mae. I don't want to send flowers or a fruit basket. What I think would be best for them would be some kind of mixed treat basket. (like cookies, candy and popcorn...things like that) What do you suggest for a great basket, that is worth my money? I am hoping to spend $60 - and under. Not too cheap, but I'm not made of money either.

A doritoes and salsa basket is nice. Coach

I wanna make a thank - u gift basket for my parents, they're fun & outgoing. Any ideas?

any creative juices would be very much appreciated! thanks
--------------------
Depends on how old you are and what are you thanking them for? Any special occasion or just a thank you for being good parents? I suggest a picnic basket-cheese,wine,crackers,grapes and reservations at a nice hotel for the night or a gift certificate to a nice cozy restaurant and tickets to a movie or show they would enjoy. If you are really young, try making up a book of special jobs you will do for them-washing dishes, taking out trash, washing the car, mowing the lawn..which they can save and redeem to you when their time is tight.

Any good sweet stuff ideas to put in a gift basket, for my boyfriend, no rude dvice.?

I want to do something differen't this year, we been together for 2 years and I want to show him I love him with all my heart , please no rude ideas, thanks.
--------------------
I assume when you say sweet stuff, you literally mean sweet stuff, that is, sweets and cakes! This is a really great idea - I used to put together a special gourmet food basket for my brother every Christmas, and he loved it. For a gift box, you couldn't put in fruit or ice cream as it would go off, so here are my suggestions: Men generally love chocolate, but hard centres only, and nearly all of them love nuts (goes with the territory). A good quality nougat is popular with most men, too. Shortbread with cherries seems to be popular with most fellers too. A tiny iced heart-shaped cake with his name on it :) A small bottle of Bailey's cream liquer would be yummy. Put in some chocolate sauce and one of those aerosol whipped cream thingys so he can use your tummy as a plate for his final course.

Home-made gift basket?

I want to make my mom a gift basket for christmas. My budget would be no more then $150. I'm having trouble finding a basket or some type of container to use. I love the ones that come with pre-made gift baskets...where can I find ones like those? Any links? Also I'm not 100% sure what to put in it...I dont want like a theme but like different items...I know her favorite tea but I'm not sure what else...I'm starting early this year.
--------------------
You can use anything as a "basket". Find a theme, that helps sometimes. I try to put thing in the basket that will actually be used. You can do it for well under the amount you have allotted. Go to Michael's or a fabric store to find some nice containers. You can use bronze type planters, little galvanized buckets, or a basket. Disposable cameras and those little brag book albums are nice to include. Trail mix, nice paper plates and matching napkins. A gift card, bottle of her favorite beverage(wine?) couple of pretty glasses to go with the beverage. If she likes tea, get her an assortment of tea and a pretty cup and saucer to drink it from, or a pretty tea pot. Small box of crackers and process cheese spreads, summer sausage, a book by her favorite author. Get some shrink wrap at the craft store and tape it under the "basket", shrink it with your hair blower...very professional look.

Gift Basket for Football Two A Days?

My boyfriend plays football for our college. He is about to start two a days in august. I want to make him a little gift basket thing to make it easier for him to get through the rough practices! I don't know what to put in it though...some thoughts i had were: gatorade, candy bars, cookies...but i don't know what else! Any ideas?
--------------------
No candy, no cookies. I remmeber two-a-days last year. I wish my girlfriend would have gave me some Power/Energy bars, energy drinks, maybe some gum [Sugar-Free]. The reason i say no candy is because the sugar in it will dehydrate him more, and trust me he's gonna need to be able to store as much water as possible in his body for two-a-days.

Unique Gift Basket Business name ideas...?

I am starting a business from my home. The gift baskets will be for all occassions....Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Engagements, Babies, Congratulations, Graduation, etc. Some thing cute...I'm a young girl (23) and have been making the baskets for friends and familes for a while and they have told me I should do it as a second job..so I'm doing to attempt it. I need a cute/sassy type name...to fit my personality! Thanks!
--------------------
Hi, from one gift basket creator to another, sending an invite to join my blog on gift baskets. It's still pretty new so maybe we can brainstorm ideas together. I came up with my business name simply by using my real name, but I think that if you want to have a more direct approach maybe design your logo in a cute/sassy tone because usually with a name that's a little harder to change if you find that you want to do different themed baskets in the future and you'll have to spend money replacing your name on websites, letterhead, etc. Check out my site if you get a chance. Good Luck!http://www.simplicityisgood.typepad.com/

I don't see any spaghetti in the gift basket. That's unacceptable. Add in a couple packages of dry spaghetti, and some jars of gourmet sauce.
