What's a fun/neat way to give this Xmas gift?

I bought a cruise for my boyfriend as an Xmas gift. I was a fun way to give it to him though, not just give him a few papers that says we're going on a cruise. On EBay I have purcased a little Southwest airplane, a plastic Princess Cruise ship, postcards from St. Thomas and a mug from St. Maarten. I don't want to arrange them in a basket, I want it to be a bit more challenging, like open one at a time but I don't just want a stack of gifts...what's a good/exciting way to have him open these items that will slowly start to get him mind working and trying to figure how these all tie together?

I like the tresure-hunt idea. Can you write poetry at all? If you can, give him one of the small gifts wrapped, with a note tucked in saying, oh, I don't know, "To find your gift, you first must see/What I have hidden on the tree." Then you could hide trinket #2 in the Christmas tree branches. And so on, and so forth. If the rhyming clues are too much of a hassle, you could just put cryptic clues like "You'll find the next clue where we keep the paper clips" or similar. This sounds like a fabulous gift and a very lucky boyfriend. And my goodness, you have to have a pretty thin skin to get your tail in a knot about how to spell Christmas! Oh well. A very merry Xmas from me. :)
