if we normally exchange christmas presents but this year i want to make cookies and gift baskets, should i tell our families and friends? i dont want anyone spending a lot of money on us and then having an awkward situation because our gift is way cheaper. be honest. would you be offended? is it truly the thought that counts? how can we hint that we wont be doing christmas gifts this year?

if u usually give each other pretty expensive and big presents then YES u should talk to them and let them know this year you'd rather just give each other ONE SMALL presents and to not go full out, really otherwise it could be awkward i think cookies and stuff is a gawgus idea so much more sentimental and thoughtful im sure theyll love it
