I'm making my friend a gift basket for her baby shower, filled with all kinds of fun stuff. She's a first time mom, her mother and father are dead and she had a REALLY hard time getting pregnant (6 miscarriages!!!) I really want to make this fun for her as well as extremely functional! I'm a mother myself and have put all the stuff I think she will need, but I need some more ideas...any help would be great! Thanks!

I'm sure with you being a Mom yourself that you have the bases covered pretty well. Just in case, some of the things I would include would be: *Infant toiletry set (nail clippers, nasal aspirator, etc.) *Set of cloth diapers for burp cloths (or actual burping pads but they are more expensive) *The infant peekaboo mirror set that she can attach in the front of the car and peek in on her little one in the backseat while she is driving *A cardboard book or two (Goodnight Moon or Guess How Much I Love You are good choices) *Pacifier, rattles, baby bottle(s), socks, booties *Mommy brag book *receiving blanket, t-shirts/onesie(s), baby towel/washcloth set *Baby toy or small plush animal (the ones w/ the pull-down string w/ music are nice) These are just some things off the top of my head. I think this is wonderful what you are doing for your friend!! No matter what you pick I am sure she will appreciate you thinking of her. Congratulations to all!
