I have a small gift basket business and I am trying to think of some unique ways to get my business name out there to the public. I have set up a Myspace page for the business, I have thought about printing flyers to spread around the college campuses, parks, and my apt complex mailboxes/doors etc....what are some other ideas that can help me get my name out there?

If I were you, I'd do a little research into some prominent people in your community; clergy, reporters, mayor or councillor, librarian, owner of the grocery store, etc... anyone that knows lots of people. And make them a gift basket with things that they like. They get a free basket on their desk one morning, for doing absolutely nothing. Have a little note just saying you hope they have a great day. Now this is your choice, but you may want to consider putting 20 business cards in the basket that they can distribute OR don't put them in and hope that they call you to say thank you, and you can talk a bit of business at that point. Both ways have their merits. Good luck!
