What does everyone think about a raffle for a big gift basket like where everyone buys a ticket and the money goes to the baby since its my baby shower and at the end of the shower raffle off a basket full of things like candles soaps ETC? How much should the tickets be?

First of all, if it's your baby, you shouldn't be hosting or planning the shower. Someone else should be throwing the shower and planning the activities for you. That is Rule #1 of shower etiquette: you DO NOT throw your own shower (especially for a second baby). Secondly, any kind of "fundraising" activities at a party, including money trees, cash raffles, etc., are very tacky. People are already coming to the shower and bringing you gifts to help you get started. You shouldn't be hitting them up for cash, too. The idea of a "diaper raffle" is one thing, but cash? Uh uh.
