Yesterday was My Ex's birthday. So being the nice person I am, I sent her Roses and a huge Godiva Chocolate Gift basket. We haven't been speaking for two months. She emailed me yesterday and thanked me for the gifts and asked me why I did that. She also started telling me what was going on where she was about neighbors and things. I emailed her back and she responded once telling me more things about her neighbors. This morning I emailed her very early and I know she's been online and I know she read my email but hasn't responded back. What should I do? I mean why would she accept my gifts and talk to me a few times then stop again? I don't get it. I didn't say anything that she would stop emailing me.

You did a very nice thing for your ex and of course she accepted the gift. Her emails are those of a friend. She probably thought you were getting the wrong idea when you emailed her early in the morning. Give her the space that she needs. When she writes to you take your time in responding.
