What unique gifts have you thought of this year?

With the economic times being the way they are this year, obviously some people are putting a lot more thought into their gifts this year, and i'm just curious to see what other people have come up with:) Like us, for example, my niece and nephew are very into the Disney's GummiBears ever since our in-laws gave each family a set of the GummiBears on DVD. And as anyone who remembers them knows, they drink "gummiberry juice" to get their bounce. Well they like to pretend they're drinking it too and bounce around the house. We were at Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago and saw these holiday coke bottles in the shape of ornaments and when you peel the wrapper off, they look just like the bottles the GummiBears used to hold their gummiberry juice in. We bought some and when we finished drinking them, we washed them out, peeled off the labels, filled them with "gummiberry juice" and piled half a dozen into a basket with a few GummiBears plush toys that I have had since childhood. I can't wait to see their faces...I know they'll love it!

My boyfriend enjoys hunting. He killed a nice 8 point deer a couple weeks ago. He was going to just cut the horns off but I talked him into getting the whole skull mounted. I have a father figure that is a taxidermist (mounts animals) and I talked to him about this. He helped me come up with a plan... We told my boyfriend that the horns broke when I pulled them out of the freezer because they were stuck. I told my boyfriend I threw them in the household trash compactor at the local recycle center. (Im not the type to lie but I feel this isnt technically a lie since he will figure it out on Christmas Day). My father figure let me use his shop to skin the deer myself and skull mount it. I am going to put it in a small box then pack it into another bigger box with bags of dirt or something (for weight) and include a certificate to mount the deer for free later on. So for Christmas my boyfriend is getting his 8 point deer skull mounted with a coupon for a free full mount. :D
