Do I need a liquor license to sell wine in gift baskets in Missouri?

I want to sell wine by the bottle in gift baskets or maybe just by the bottle as a gift. They will be sold out of MO, and will only constitute about 10% of my sales. I need to know if I need a liquor license to do this and if so, what classification of liquor license will I need. Also if you know all this...How much will this cost?

Yes, you will need a liquor license, but it will depend on if you are selling at a brick and mortar location (you will need a site license) or if you are delivering. I am not certain about delivering but the site location would be very similar to a bar license. I would imagine it would cost a few hundred dollars for the application/processing but will also tax each unit that you sell. A good way to find out more info might be to contact a local winery and see if they can assist. They would be interested in trying to get you to sell theirs, so you could make it mutually beneficial. If you want to venture this on your own checkout http://www.atc.dps.mo.gov/index.asp
