If you were receiving a gift or giving one what would be some of the things that you would want? Just say you were making a gift basket what would you put in it say if you were giving to someone who just became a new doctor?

At work, we have traditionally given anyone getting a new position funny but charming items related to that position. For a new doctor, say, we'd give candy pills, a toy medical bag, some No-Doz, a certificate for a discount on malpractice insurance (not real of course), and so forth. If you're not one to go the funny congrats style, a pen engraved with the new doc's name and title on it would be good, an engraved business card holder is also nice, fine wine, and gift certificates to favorite places are also good gifts.
