I would say that number 3 because you don't have to do much but go to the store and pick one out. Also it looks like you put some thought into it. When you get a gift card it kind of seems impersonal and not well thought about. It is a usually a gift that you give someone who you really don't know and/or care much about. If you care about this person, then you want them to think that you put some thought and well planned effort into what to get them. With number 3 you can personalize (or have them think you did) the scent of the product. Also, for $30 you can get a pretty good sized basket or gift bag. Nobody likes just getting a card with a gift card for their birthday. They want to open presents and the bigger the better. At least that is just me. I would rather open a present over a card.
