My mom bought me a gift basket full of thermal shirts, long sleeved shirts, and other winter garments, but she bought everything in XL (I'm a small/medium...that's just how moms are, amirite?). She bought everything at Sam's club, and I'm wondering if I can return these items to Wal-Mart.

no you cannot. they are not the same store. walmart owns sam but the are comepletely independant of each other. just as kmart owns sears.
