I met her when i was an exchange student in korea, and she is going to study as a foreign exchange student here. she is very conservative, but fun loving. since she is coming in late, i am going to take her to denny's (sigh), and then give her a gift basket with stuff, help her move in, etc. any advice, how to keep the conversation going, etc.

I agree with MGP but he was being a bit to hard on you, its cool you guys are going to Denny's its late what can you do, just be your self, its probably going to be awkward at first but afterwards it should be a blast have fun.
