Do soldiers overseas enjoy getting gift baskets, letters, emails etc from pen pal type programs. I wanted to try one of the pen pal organizations but i wasnt sure if soldiers would appreciate that kind of thing.

yes, most people overseas love getting things. its a reminder that someone supports them and appreciates what they are doing.
