My sister and brother in law will be having their first baby at the end of this month! we wont be able to visit them when the baby arrives but would like to send a nice/unique gift! what would be something you would have loved to have gotten when your baby arrived?? i was thinking a dean and deluca or harry and david basket...?? we'll spend up to $100..

The last thing new parents want is a basket of overpriced food. The most useful gift we ever got after having a baby was crib sheets, burp rags, and clothes. The more you have of those items, the less you have to wash them. When you have a baby you go through sheets/rags/clothes constantly which means you are constantly having to wash them. But if you're wanting to get the parents a gift for themselves, try a gift card to a nice hotel and a promise to babysit when they get around to using it. The other thing parents want after having a baby is time to themselves.
