My fiance and I come from huge families and this year i really dont think we need to spend as much money as he did last year for our christmas gifts. We already have a 1 year old and we are expecting another child in march and I feel like everyone probably is expecting us to do "big" for Christmas because last year my fiance sent a lot of xmas gifts to our families..(ex: my family got Coach everything..etc even a dog collar for the house dog) this year I think we need to just send those new and very tasty edible arrangements( fruit baskets) and that way we save more and its more of a group gift rather than individual gifts..last night my dad called and asked me were me and my fiance doing like last year? and when I asked him like what, he replied" I was just saying, you guys dont have to get me anything if you guys are sending gifts like last year, but you can fix my TRACTOR?hello???DO WE LOOK LIKE A DAMN ATM! am i being selfish, just because my fiance and i are not broke doesnt mean we want to spend all this money when we have other things going on...idk..

I think that sending gift baskets or fruit arrangements are a perfectly suitable option, especially with the way things are financially at this current time. The holidays are all about showing people that you care, and it shouldn't matter how much money you have or how expensive your presents are. The point is that you are gifting them with things that are thoughtful and share in the spirit of the season. Instead of worrying about spending too much, spend time with your family and get them some gift baskets from a site like BisketBaskets.com where you can save money and still be able to give them something beautiful. If they don't understand your decision, they are losing sight of what is really important at this time of year: the love of family. I hope this helps!
