My best friend is expecting her first child and the shower is set for the first week in February. Currently I have bought her an * EvenFlo Babygo Playyard with bassinet and Changing Station. *A Bouncer with attatched mobile *3 multi packs of EvenFlo bottles *2 single packs of Playtex bottles *A summers baby monitor *Hooded bath towels *Got MIlk baby clothing and *Nike infant hat and mitten set.... She is expecting a girl and I am curious as to whether or not anyone has any good ideas for other shower gifts, preferably something I can assemble myself (like a basket with a good theme).

How about a diaper cake? They are adorable and you can make them yourself or buy them premade. http://www.ehow.com/how_2027288_make-dia… You can also make her dinner, or sauces and soup so she can freeze for easy access on those crazy days. EDIT - if you really want a gift basket idea, how bout a tote bag full of books, parenting and children's books with a baby book and 1st year calendar.
