My boyfriend and I have dated for almost 3 years. I am in college and have very little money, but also very little time. I am not sure what to get for his parents-- I want something meaningful and thoughtful, but not expensive. Last year I made them a "date night" gift basket with sparkling cider (they don't drink alcohol), some fancy foods and snacks, candles, etc. Well the foods were still in their pantry 6 months later. So I would like to get them something more usable or interesting to them, but I don't know either of them terribly well. They love Cardinals baseball but have everything associated with that already, the mom is a teacher, likes to cook, and the dad is an office professional and likes history. It would be great if I could get one gift for both of them. They are about 50 years of age. The family likes practical gifts, not novelty or superfluous stuff. Any ideas would be appreciated!
