I am going to my cousin-in-law's bridal shower in a few weeks and am looking for some gift ideas. We don't have a lot of money right now and everything on her registries seems to be $50 and up; all the cheaper items are things you would have to buy multiples of (wine glasses, napkin holders, etc). Any suggestions for a limited budget? She sent a bath basket to my shower via her mom (she didn't attend) and didn't give us any wedding present even though she is in her mid 20's and brought a guest. I'm not her biggest fan but for the sake of my husband and mother in law would like to find a considerate, inexpensive gift that doesn't look cheap.
--------------------
Using her registry as a color guide: Large plastic mixing bowl Asst kitchen utensils Pot holders Kitchen towels Candles - found some at Freds that were fruit/herb blends I did this for my niece, adding muffin and brownie mixes and her two favorites - mac & cheese and english peas. A nice cookbook w/ a personal note written inside the cover, along w/ the above goodies would be nice, too. Or, fix them a movie nite set: Large ceramic mixing bowl Movie butter microwave popcorn Popcorn spices Movie rental gift card (enough for 1 or 2 movies) Throw blanket for snuggling Toss in a set of mugs and cocoa mix or stemless wine glasses (can be found, plain ones, at pier one for around 3 bucks) and a cheap bottle of wine. Or, go fun - get them an ice cream maker or shaved ice machine! Most all of this can be found at your nearest wal-mart, target, freds or dollar general (excepting the stemless glasses and the wine - unless you go w/ Wild Vines, which is good and you get it at wal-mart for about $4)
