I speak with my mail carrier almost daily... what is an appropriate Christmas gift for her?

I know the postal regulations say they can't accept cash or anything valued over $20... I am on first name basis with my postal carrier and she really goes out of her way for me. I want to give her something nice that she will actually keep/use. I personally would be nervous to eat anything homemade, even if it was from someone I talk to daily. I'm sure the post office gets a lot of food they throw away. Last year I brought the post office a big gift basket of panera bagels and cream cheese, but even then I worry they just threw it all out. Any non-food ideas? Or pre-packaged food...

I think you should treat this situation like she was your friend, and not your mail carrier. If you want to go food way, I don't think a simple box of chocolates would do harm. If you decide to go the gift card way, maybe a nice $20.00 gift card to kohls or target, maybe even panera bread or starbucks, hope this answered your question.
