My boyfriend's younger sister is graduating high school May 17th. What is a good idea for a graduation gift? When I graduated in '06, My Aunt gave me a care package. A laundry basket with toothpaste, washcloths, band aids, lotion, etc. That was a GREAT idea. But I have no idea if this girl is going to go live in a dorm or just stay at home. And I KNOW money is like, the ultimate gift, But I want to be creative...I feel like money is a cop-out? Help please!

What about a "welcome to the real world" care kit? It would be nice to get whether she's moving out or staying at home. Put together some pretty checks/checkbook, an address book (if you can get your hands on the address/email/phone # of most of her family and maybe some friends it would be surprisingly appreciated), a wallet if she doesn't have one or needs one (you can throw in money or a gift card), some pencils/pens (is it just mine or do they all run away and hide?), a keychain that reminds you of her, maybe some blank cd's, sticky notes, a good book, a journal... it would cute to add ramen noodles :) make sure you sign something in there- a super-soft (high thread count) pillowcase, the inside cover of a book, or a card/note/letter
