I know a first grade teacher that really influenced me in my younger years. And I wanted to make her a little gift basket. She was one of the inspirations of mine to become a teacher.

What a wonderful thought! I guess I would say that a basket of supplies for her class might be nice. . . maybe some fancy edged scissors and glue sticks, stickers, glitter glue, paper punches. . . stuff that the kids can use to make art projects to bring home (cards for moms, etc.) You can get most all of this stuff at a dollar store. Or, if you want it to be personal for her, dollar stores also carry nice scented candles and things like that.
